“Very home like feeling. Cozy restaurant. Friendly staff. Casual. We ordered a rigatoni alla sicilliana. They accommodated for a vegetarian option. I really loved the pasta. Definitely different from all vodka pastas I've had. Definitely recommend!”
“This place is top notch, the fish is cut fresh and you can really tell compared to other places. I’ve become addicted haha. Try the salmon Hawaiian poke bowl, you won’t be disappointed!”
“Garrett, our server was great from the moment we sat down. He helped us decide what to order, made sure our beverages were delivered (not 21), and expedited the kitchen when my pizza came out wrong! The salads and pizzas (all ordered lunch specials) were outstanding.”
“We stopped into this little place one Saturday afternoon on a whim while walking downtown Geneva. Such a cute place! We did a wine tasting. The woman who did our tasting was an owner, and you could tell how passionate she was about the Michigan and the wines. She was very knowledgable and the wine was wonderful! I got a cheese spread to take home. It's sun dired tomato falvored and I love it! Will definitely be back!”
“The food is really good. First visit had the Rocketman Pan Pizza. which is more like a thick flat bread. Very tasty. The Chorizo Stuffed Dates were amazing. Second visit tried the Nonna's Sunday Pie Pan Pizza, extremely spicy!!Cons:(1) Lack of Ice. You get No ice with your water and maybe 3 small cubes in your cocktail. We have learned the first thing we order is two tall glasses of ice to add to all our drinks.(2) Services is so so. You don't see your waiter much. After you order, someone else brings your food. Nobody ever checks on you after that!! So if you need another drink, napkin, silverware, anything . . good luck.We will give it one more try. If the service is not better then we won't be back. You can get good food a lot of places, so service is a MUST.”
“Came on a Wednesday morning and were seated promptly. Started with a caramel machiatto, which was excellent. Eggs were perfectly cooked. I had them with the bacon , which was thick and crispy. The breakfast potatoes are seasoned perfectly. Pancakes are bomb as well. Fluffy, but not too dry or dense. A little pricey but everything was delicious.”
“This is one of our favorite places. It's so beautiful and romantic and fun inside. The food is excellent, the service is great, and the owner is always there with a warm welcome!! Kathy and Dave Ricordati”
“UPDATE: We've been back 3 times since my first review and it keeps getting better. The hostess is cordial, friendly and sweet, what a nice change. Our latest visit we had Kyle as our server, super friendly, knowledgeable and spot on without being overwhelming. There were 6 in our party and he didn't miss a beat. Started out with Joan's Rolls, super soft, warm rolls with a chive butter, so good. 3 of us had the miso salmon, the other 3 had the apple & pear salad with a protein. Everything was delicious and done perfectly! We like how the chef changes the menu a little bit every so often.”
“I had the basic breakfast, eggs, toast, hashbrowns, and sausage. It was all good! I split an order of pancakes also and those were super good. The waitstaff were all very friendly and it was an enjoyable experience.”
“A great place to stop for an early afternoon to enjoy a free Saturday .Great cocktails and beer selection.Duck Poutine, Shrimp and Grits and Crab Cake Sandwich. All are freshly made and enjoyed. Would definitely go back.”
“Carried out tonight from the Walrus Room. It was our anniversary and we had some beautiful grass fed t-bones but needed a sweet treat and a little app that we just weren't in the mood to prepare (got 2 under 5). And I have to say it was still phenomenal as always. One of our absolute favorite staples. Dont hesitate, just go and try for yourself. It truly is the “supper club” of the tri-cities. Hard one to beat. Keep it up!”
“My wife and I both got burgers. She had the shrimp burger and I had the gorgonzola/mushroom burger. Both were good, but the shrimp burger was amazing! Our cocktails were delicious and our waiter was very fun!”
“Came here with friends. Ambiance was really lovely and warm set in a gorgeous old building. Good selection of drinks, service was professional and pleasant. The food was on the better side of average. Perhaps i ordered poorly. My Arctic Char was overcooked. Spatzle was drowning in sauce. My husbands slow-cooked ribs were good, the fennel in the lamb was slightly overpowering. The octopus starter was slightly overcooked. The shrimp bao was a winner. Desserts were delicious. The plating for everything was attractive. Would I return? Unlikely, given that we travelled for this.”
“Went here for brunch with my family on a Sunday afternoon. Upon stepping inside, I knew this would be a nice place to spend the afternoon. The host greeted us promptly and gave us two options for seating; and asked if any of us had food allergies...this was a nice surprise since my kids have a food allergy and nobody ever asks us. The host made it a point that he would notify the waitstaff and kitchen staff. The service was fast and efficient, our food was awesome, and the entire staff was accommodating to our two kids. As my kids finished their meals, our waiter told them to check out the art upstairs...this gesture gave my wife and I a few minutes to finish our coffee and beer. The pricing is as you would expect for this type of exclusive restaurant.Brass tacks: excellent food and high-end atmosphere without the pretense. I'm going back.”
“Delicious food! The atmosphere is intimate and set in, what looks like, a house. It's a small space but perfect for a date night or dinner with friends/family. The tacos are amazing! As is the guacamole and potatoes. Everything I had was 10/10. The drinks are incredible too. Highly recommend coming if you're in the area. The flavors and dishes are unique and not like anything you'll get anywhere else. The chef does an amazing job.”
“it is tucked in the corner of the strip mall so it took is a few drive bys to find it but once we located it.... it was worth it. The selection is good and the food truck outside was amazing . The music was a little loud to hold a conversation. The art work covering the walls was interesting I will say it will make you remember them”
“A busy Sunday afternoon in and we sat at the bar. Had Pot Stickers as an Appetizer. A nice start Had a few of the in-house suds. Very nice. Especially liked Viking Red Ale. Did a Pub burger with Swiss and fries. Tasty. My friend did the French Onion soup as a main plate. He enjoyed it. Menu had many options. Service was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. Brant, out main server, but all the bar staff helped out. Liked all the historical photos. First time, but not the last time! A gem in Gem in Geneva.”
“Our experience was absolutely amazing!! As a local business owner as well in Geneva I kept hearing about this restaurant from multiple clients and it did not disappoint! Our server was absolutely amazing, she did not rush us, she was very sweet, and very genuine when it came to describing the food. The food was 10/10! The beetroot salad with chive ice cream was incredible. It sounds like it would be questionable but it is such an amazing and brilliant combination of flavors. The scallops were out of this world and cooked to perfection. We did not have one bad dish and will definitely be back! And for as fine dining goes I don’t think the prices were outrageous for the quality of work, service and ambiance that was given. Can’t say enough good things! Thank you Mandrake :)”
“Smaller than I’d expected. But well organized and comfortable. Had the ale house burger with fries - the fries are the reason for the 4 stars on food and not 5. They tasted fine but were soggy with grease. Perhaps that’s their style- not for me. The burger was great. Good perfectly. Beer selection is amazing. People are super nice. Service was spot on quick and attentive. Highly recommend. Hope they crisp up the fries some day!!! Will be back. Soon.”
“Nice little brewery with outdoor seating for warmer days. Inside was cozy and when ordering you go to the bar. The seltzers are amazing with great flavors however they are a little sweeter than others.”
“Another great dinner, and experience, at Foxfire. This time, tried the Horseradish Crusted Salmon, delicious! Have had the steaks in the past, all outstanding, really enjoyed the Foxfire Style Angus Beef Medallion!”
“Luis the bartender was so nice and knowledgeable. Took care of us and was very kind Hard working and the manager Ricardinho was so great and nice thank you for the hospitality we will be back very soon !”
“We sat on the patio on a cold day. The heaters helped, but we needed to keep our coats on. It looks like a great space for warmer weather. Excellent Ruben sandwich ranked 8.5/10. Got a cup of delicious French onion soup for $2.50 with the sandwich, ranked 10/10 for that price. Overall, I'd give Preservation an 8/10, which would be higher if it wasn't so chilly on the partially enclosed patio. The cold hastened our departure. I'll definitely be back when it warms up!”
“Everything was so good! Service was decent, food was great. Drinks were well made and prices were similar to everywhere else these days. The tempura brownie dessert is huge!!! The Frenchie burger was sloppy and delicious. The 3% service fee to help with costs when costs were not cheaper than anywhere else was not great in my opinion.”
“I marked as a three but really after being there 5-6 times... My experiences have either been a 2 or a 4. The food is always pretty good. There is no host station. So you walk in and just stand there and wait for an employee to approach you. Which sometimes doesnt happen real promptly. The service staff is laid back and sometimes thats alright other times you just want them to do there job more formally and stop chatting. Now it seems the places maintance is waning. The leather chair tops are splitting, the faux wood beams had cobwebs all over them. And the floor looks like it was not designed for heavy wear. All minor things that can be overlooked but that being said... Why not just fix the minor things?”
“Lou Malnati's was always my go-to but I've been getting into Nancy's stuffed and quite frankly it's won me over. Food is great. Service is great. Atmosphere is one star only because it's a takeout ”
“Who doesn’t love some GOOD LOBSTER! Surprisingly cheap! Me and my son shared 2 lobster tails a side of bacon Mac and cheese and mashed potato’s and it was only $53 which is shocking for seafood! Had a great time here!”
“It was fun to sit at the hibachi table watching our comical cook. Confused as to why our cook kept a cup and a half of rice and several shrimp instead of serving it to our party of 10 people. Food was excellent! Waiters were excellent!”
“First time here and I will drive an hour to come back. There’s a cute little Crystal Life store around the corner you must check out for those negative vibes.Anyhoo I had the Scottish Salmon and I have to say its top 3 on my list now. I’m a true food connoisseur and earned the right to say that.”
