“My husband and I have waited 6 months to get to this place. We LOVED the food. Bottled beers and mixed drinks as well as fountain drinks and water. This place is new and very clean. “Chiefs will always retain a place in my heart because they bucked the trend during the whole covid debacle.While I'm not really a sports bar aficionado, if that's your thing, then I think this is the place to be.Bar food is better than average, and service is outstanding.I did dock Chiefs one-star on food because they dropped two healthy items that I really liked from the menu - baked cod and kale salad.You can't go wrong with a burger here, and the flatbreads are really good. But I'm not a fan of their pizza, which to my taste has too much cheese and two little flavor. Nevertheless, pizza seems to be a common order amongst the regulars, so I might be in the minority with this view.“

“The staff, management and Chef are amazing. We are regulars at this establishment for a reason. The reason is their ability to understand their guest! My special needs son had a moment where I have to leave before I ate and with his to go food. The Chef, Manager, and servers took amazing care of my daughter and hubby and made sure to send my favorite items home with him so I had dinner.“

“Best food and service EVER!!! We attended a wedding reception there. We had an amazing BIG soft pretzel and brussel spout flakes, they tasted like candy, yum. My husband had the BBQ ribs, BEST ribs and BBQ sauce EVER, I had the orange chicken again BEST orange chicken I've ever had. Our nephew had the Tim's challenge and he ate it all and got a cool tee shirt. Highly recommended. And did I mention the AWESOME customer service!!!“

“If Cheers was in Lake Bluff, it would be Prairie. Each member of the staff has a unique and inviting personality who makes each visit feel personal, inviting, and small town. The regulars are split between morning and evening hours, with a few floaters. We welcome folks to the community, catch up on happenings, and bring a little joy each day. Mandy, the chef, compiles an amazing array of food items, from cinnamon rolls and coffee cakes, to casseroles and egg sandwiches during the morning, and a variety of sandwiches in the afternoons. The spot has outdoor seating on the sidewalk, as well as a dedicated secluded covered alley space with ample seating and ambience. Summertime events include covered alleyway cookouts and inclusion of other local businesses for special bites. Evenings can feature a quiet bar, karaoke, or live music. With a recently announced addition of Jeff Urso, a local restauranteur, to the ownership, 2024 is anticipated to be a great year for Prairie. Would highly recommend checking out this local gem.“

“Came here on a Sunday night after work. This was my first time coming here. I like the vibe from this place. A great place to just chill with friends and have a drink. We ended up sitting at the bar and the bartender was very attentive. We ended up ordering drinks and a couple of appetizers. We ordered the hot honey chicken sliders, pub sliders and boneless wings. Everything was so delicious. Our favorite was the hot honey chicken sliders. They also had golf simulators in the restaurant which we'll try the next time.“

“Fantastic, old school spot for a fabulous meal. I've been going here since I was a kid and nothing has changed. They have a warm and comfy dining room on one side with tables and big deep booths, and on the other side is a lively 360° oval bar with booths and tables around the perimeter, great bartenders, and you can get full meal service at the bar with a full place setting. Prices are reasonable, the food is all good / consistent, they make a wonderful hamburger on dark rye, ribs are amazing, and it's kid friendly!“
