“We stopped at this place for lunch recently. Very good food and fast service. Everything is reasonably priced compared to other hotdog places. Portions are very generous and fries are perfectly crispy. Cheese sauce on side was great and not watery, gyro was perfect and grilled chicken sandwich was very juicy. “I recently worked a wedding at Harbor Brewing for an outside caterer and was very impressed with the staff (great bartenders!), facilities, and ambiance. The happy couple and their guests all seemed to have had a wonderful evening and throughly enjoyed the selection of drinks offered by the venue. In talking with the attendees (and from clearing their empty glasses) it was clear they found the quality of that selection far exceeded the run of the mill menu available elsewhere. Moreover, the bartenders did an great job keeping the lines short, the beverages fresh, and although I unfortunately wasn’t able to banter with them myself every guest walked away from their interactions with a smile on their face. The area in which the event took place was both spacious and beautifully decorated/styled. The brewery’s aesthetic is tasteful and the layout allowed for plenty of room for the crowd to dance and mingle. Personally I thought the wall of whiskey barrels was a brilliant addition - wether it was simply meant as storage or a design element chosen specifically for the look it really brought the room together. This may seem like a weird feature to bring up but having worked tons of weddings at dozens of venues over the years I always take note of the restroom accommodations in an event space because as a party progresses underperforming in this arena can create a ton of problems. Here the bathrooms not only fit the theme (extra points for the keg urinals!) but were kept clean and easily accommodated the parties needs. Finally, the venue is located in Lake Villa’s downtown area somewhat near the train station with plenty of parking for guests available on site as well as near by on Cedar street. Finding the building was no trouble at all and leaving when the event was over was hassle free. Altogether Harbor Brewing is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a space to host an event; a beautiful venue with some wonderful staff pouring outstanding beer will make for a night you and your friends won’t soon forget.“

“I stopped in about a year ago to try the licensed Affy Tapple flavored beer they made. (Tastes like a caramel apple. ) It was great. I was in the area this weekend to try a few in-house drafts. The Polish Pilsner is about 5% ABV. It was worthy of buying a 4 pack for home. They offer a lot of great brews and Zach was serving that day. Super helpful & friendly.“

“Good selection of beers as well as some ciders and meads which gives everyone a chance to enjoy something. Food at the Round Lake Beach location is available at the Pizza place in the same plaza who will bring your food to you at the bar. Loved going on DJ Bingo nights, Jesse is the best!! She provides a great welcoming atmosphere and knows how to take care of you. All around great spot to go to.“

“No wake is great. The servers and bartenders are really friendly. The prices at this bar are always reasonable. I always enjoy the food when I visit. Atmosphere is fun too. This bar is popular but gets more crowded in the summer months. Located on the Fox River it's always fun to stop while boating. They also have gas for refueling boats. There are also a lot machines and there is outdoor seating in the summer months. I would highly recommend visiting no wake.“

“I cannot state this with enough enthusiasm. This place is INCREDIBLE. The food is outstanding, unlike any other restaurant in the area. As for this place being RACIST?!? That reviewer either clearly did not go into the restaurant or they just want to cause controversy, as they have people of all races WORKING THERE and the staff is treated very well, like they are all family! That comment is clearly insane and looking for attention. Back to my review. The spaghetti with sausage is so authentic and delicious, the tomato bisque soup is clearly homemade and delicious! “This was my first visit to Greg's Frozen Custard and I was impressed. I didn't know why my GPS was redirecting me through a neighborhood (Pleasure Drive - lol), but you have to enter off South Lake (by Auto Zone). We drove up and it was one of those stand-alone structures that you occasionally see (like a big ice cream cone) that are usually popular for the novelty. The flavor of the day was butter pecan. I ordered a scoop of butter pecan and added hot fudge and whipped cream. I was surprised by how thick and creamy and rich the custard was. The hot fudge was also thick, not a thin syrup, and this was a decadent treat. There were plenty of pecans in the custard. My friend had the chocolate custard and that was thick and rich with a satisfying flavor. We liked that the custard isn't overly sweet. There were just a handful of customers when we arrived but shortly thereafter the parking lot started to fill up. There is a gazebo with some seating but this was a rainy spring evening so we ate in the car. Now that I know you're here, Greg's Custard, I'll be back to try your other flavors.“

“It's an ice cream stand. Return from the Marytown Shrine, I couldn't ignore the 'flavor of the say - blueberry " sign calling me. Many flavor served in cones, shakes, Sundays or concretes. I had a the blueberry as a malt. Proper flavor levels for the blueberry and the sweetness, not overly sweet. Great formulation, thick but it would move through the straw. Solid place. Service? The got the order correct, prepared it promptly and the change was correct. No problems. Would return“

It was wrapped, then heated on the outside, delicious. My daughter had a grilled cheese with tomato with onion rings, she loved it. “The food was delicious as always, and the service was great. Tina was an excellent waiter. The Alpine omelette had a lovely flavor and the Door County Melt with Gluten Free bread was remarkable. The coffee, however, tasted like it was on the burner too long. One of the pleasant features of coming to Egg Harbor was the flavor of the day coffee and we’re disappointed that they no longer carry that. The specialty coffees do not make up for that. “I have visited this location multiple times and I am always greeted very well by the staff. I've tried the shakes and they are AMAZING!! It does not have a traditional protein powder taste that is bad, they are genuinely good! They have other options like coffees and teas that look great as well. The inside is well decorated and super cute. It is an attractive space with lots of exposed wood beams, plenty of tv's, and an awesome looking bar top.My most recent visit to the patio was on a Tuesday, for lunch with a friend. We decided to sit outside; and even though it was a cool Autumn day, we were perfectly comfortable. We arrived shortly after they opened and there was plenty of seating; by the time we finished-up they had a very nice crowd.My buddy ordered the Santa Fe Chicken Salad, and I had the The Irishman, which is a Burger with Guinness Cheese Dip, an onion ring, and homemade pickles. We both agreed the food was delicious. Service was excellent (as always).I love the new space, and can't wait for my next visit. If you haven't been to The Vine recently, you need to go see for yourself!“

“04/04/2024After my son's Navy Boot Camp graduation, he expressed to me and his dad that he was in need of a fat, juicy, and delicious hamburger with some SWINE on it, lol. He stated that he was tired of the military food that he had to endure during basic training. I found this restaurant on Yelp and I'm so glad that I did.Upon entering this establishment, we were greeted by one of the friendliest hostesses that I've ever encountered. She asked if we preferred a table or a booth and I was happy that she gave us the choice on where we would like to be seated. She handed us the menus and told us to enjoy our visit. Next, our server came over and introduced herself as Angelica. She was also friendly and welcoming. Angelica exercised great customer service skills and professionalism.Moreover, for our drinks, my son ordered a lemonade, hubby ordered an Arnold Palmer, and I ordered a White Sangria cocktail and a Golden Honey Margarita on the rocks with salt on the rim. We all enjoyed our drinks, especially me, lol. The White Sangria was refreshing and bubbly. I think I liked it more that the Golden Honey Margarita, which was also tasty.As for our food, we started out with some appetizers while we browsed the menu. We started off with the spicy shrimp and the crab fondue. Although they were not spicy at all, I absolutely loved the spicy shrimp appetizer! They were flavorful and fried to perfection with a nice crunch to them and drizzled with a red sauce. The crab fondue tasted amazing and would have tasted even better if I did not have to play tug-of-war with the toasted bread that it was accompanied by. I let my son and my husband have at the crab fondue while I stuck with the spicy shrimp, lol. My son was so hungry for some food other than military food that he didn't seem to notice how hard the bread was. He and my husband devoured every bit of it, lol.Now for our main entrees, my son knew right away which burger he wanted as he looked at the menu. Remember he stated he wanted a burger with some SWINE on it? Well, there was a Bacon Cheese Burger sitting on the menu with his name written all over it. My husband is a burger lover as well, but chose a burger without the swine, the City Works Burger. I ordered something a little on the healthier side, pan seared salmon accompanied by a mixture of vegetables which included butternut squash, Brussel sprouts, tomatoes, and corn. We all enjoyed our food to the upmost. Everything was absolutely delicious! My son said that his bacon cheeseburger was soooo good and that the bacon was nice and crispy. My husband said that his burger was divine. They were both so fat-full by the end of our son's celebration meal and were sitting slumped over in their seats, lol. The salmon on my entree was cooked to perfection, possessing a moist and flaky interior with a juicy and tender texture. The vegetables were as equally as delicious as the salmon.Overall, City Works is a lively establishment with a vibrant and energetic ambiance that serves great tasting modern American cuisine. It is centered in the Mellody Farm Shopping Complex of Milwaukee Ave. in Vernon Hills. They are fully equipped with several large HDTV's which is great for sports fans and such. Customer service is amazing. I highly recommend them for anyone who is from out of town visiting the Chicago area. You will definitely find delicious and excellent quality food here! When I asked for more tomatoes only to be told it had to be picked from the garden which caused the delay of over 15 minutes after that wait decided not to mention the burger patty was not right and just picked the mushrooms off the burger.First time at O'Toole's not the best impression, will probably not be returning.“

Huge portions too I was surprised. We ordered the Chrissoulas Greek Salad to start off and it was so good. So much better than your traditional Greek salad because this one didn't come with capers and I really can't stand capers in my salad anyways. We also ordered the pastitsio and the Chrissoulas chicken to share and both were absolutely delicious and very flavorful. Need to come back and try other items on their menu.
