“This is a quaint place. The food menu offers bistro style cafe food that includes appetizers, chili, salads, sandwiches, entrees, and more. The full bar additionally offers draught beer and wine.

The atmosphere is casual, cozy, and the televisions offer the latest sports games to watch.
We ordered extra chicken on our salads, but the kitchen staff messed up the order. However, our waitress Ashley was quick to remedy the mix-up and brought us the extra chicken on the side. She was great.

“I moved to Highland back in July of 2023. Recently got a job in town and recommended by my boss stopped in to Michael’s coffee shop. Had the best experience! Was not rushed she answered all of my questions and even asked if I would try my specialty drink before I left to make sure I liked it! My drink was perfect and their lemon blueberry muffin was delicious! 10/10 recommend this place and will definitely be going back. I wish I would have gotten her name but she gets 100/10 on providing amazing customer service!”

“Went to eat there today in Highland and had the Gyro Special and a soda. The portions were fantastic and filling, and I’m not a little eater. I did NOT walk away hungry. Fantastic atmosphere and friendly server/cook. Quick service and very attentive staff. Pricing is VERY fair and great for eaters on a budget. I will be back! Thank you!”

“It’s just a terrific bar and grill. The flattop grill is so well seasoned, the burgers are delicious. Chili is great but only available in cooler/cold months. Sloppy Joes in warm weather. If you’re nearby, it’s a must-do dining experience.”

“I have deemed Highland Scooters to be the best Scooters in the area. I have been to Greenville and Edwardsville Scooters and neither compare. Highland always has the best cooked and represented food out of those locations and they have never messed up my order.”

“The ice cream is delicious! Some unique flavors too! The employees are really really nice. They will have conversations and joke with you if you start talking. The place is full of bright colors and replicas of cakes. There are no chairs or tables inside but there are plenty on the square. They have little cups and cones filled with what I think is clay to show you what your ice cream with look like. They are definitely not stingy with how much ice cream they give you. Nor the toppings. :) They give you punch cards too! Definitely recommend if your in the mood for ice cream.

Dietary restrictions: Don't eat if your lactose intolerant. I think they have gluten free ones if i remember correctly.

Kid-friendliness: Just like you would expect, it's great for kids. It's ice cream!”

“I’m a fan of Sam’s Deluxe Pizza on regular crust. Tonight I got my regular pizza as well as a second pizza in their St Louis style. The St Louis style was better than I was expecting. Going forward, I’m going to be a two pizza order so I don’t have to choose a favorite! Delicious!!”

Today, she splendidly created a special birthday cupcake duo for a friend that can best be called just a little bit naughty.
How long have I been coming to Patti Cakes? They did my wedding cake 30 years ago. The ladies of Patti Cakes do not look old enough to have even participated. Tragically, the marriage ended in divorce but I do not blame Patti Cakes one little bit!

“One of the few decent spots to get take-out in Highland.The food is always exactly as ordered and fresh. Too many places around town give messed up orders and food that's dried out from being old or flat out too greasy (looking at you TB/KFC). Never in all our years ordering from here have we ever had a bad order. You all rock! Keep it up! If you haven't tried New China... You're missing out.”

“visited here for the first time last night. it took 1 hour to get our food due to bingo food orders. We were inside so we could see how hard the kitchen staff was working on orders. Our food finally came out and the soup flights were delicious even with the beer soup being served barely warm. That was rather disappointing but very tasty. If you are a soup fan, I would highly recommend. Even with a 40 minute drive, I would recommend checking it out.”
