“Stayed at Harrah’s Casino in Joliet & food at the grill was terrible. Found The Old Fashioned Pancake House Restaurant on Jefferson St in Joliet the next morning and it was amazing. Service was quick, attentive and continuous. Food (breakfast) was simply outstanding and price was very good! I have traveled a lot and this place is a Five Star value in my book.”

The staff made us feel very welcome and taken care of the entire night. They added little cute touches like our picture on the menu that made it feel special and their new space is really modern and perfect for events. We highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions or just a nice dinner out. We have been coming here with our family the last few years and it is an amazing gem in Joliet.”

“I placed an order for a jumbo cheese dog and fries and had to wait in the drive thru line over 30 minutes. They said they had a system issue but after reading the reviews I doubt that's the case. I got in line at 6:59 and placed my order it's now 7:33 and I just got the bag. I can't move anywhere because nobody else has their food so I have to sit here and wait. This is absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a jumbo cheese dog with tomato and pickle only and a large fry. I open the bag there's a cup in there with a tomato and pickle in it and a cup of cheese missing my hot dog and my fries. It's now 7:37 and I'm still waiting and my order is incorrect. Who just orders a cup of cheese and a pickle and a tomato. I left there at 8:03 finally with my hot dog and fries”

“Amazing Colombian food! I ordered the bandeja paisa and it was absolutely delicious—full of flavor and very authentic. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and perfectly cooked.

The empanadas were crispy on the outside and packed with great flavor inside. I also had a Pony Malta, which was the perfect drink to go with the meal and really completed the experience.

The service was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming and clean. Definitely a great spot if you’re craving real Colombian food. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“I've only been there twice since the new location opened, but it's a killer vibe inside. The games are fun, the tables seem to be doing great and the drinks are solid. I'm a sucker for a great old fashioned, and they make a solid one at &vine. Overall it's a great time and a solid modernization over the old one, although the sports bar in the old one always did good by me. Go give it a shot.”

“First of all, it seems the busier they are, the faster the line moves. A few weeks ago I had to leave after ten minutes. I was the second car in line. The entire time.

The coffee is good, don't get me wrong, but it seems to me they purposefully take longer when they don't have a line, because the line is their advertising.

Why do I think their line is their advertising? Because I've been the seventh car multiple times, and I'll have coffee in my hand in five minutes.

The drive thru and parking lot have been a problem. For a business that seems to use having a line as their calling card for attracting business, one would think their parking lot would be set up to contain a line of cars. Instead, the drive thru is set up to spill out onto the street. Seriously, the building could.. And should.. Be turned 180° on the property; so cars can wrap counter-clockwise, get their coffee on the East end of the building, and exit. But.. Blocking the traffic is more than likely on purpose, so everybody sees the line and gets FOMO and stops to buy a $7 coffee.

A $7 coffee that honestly is pretty good.”
