“I came to use my reward points for my birthday dinner. I surprised to find out the trio special was not a part of this reward. I guess always read the fine print. We ordered the shrimp scampi. The shrimp a bit over cooked but the fettuccine was tasty.
I am sorry to say our server was not attentive and we had to have someone flag her down 3x. To me customer service is key to the tip amount. Regardless of how busy she may be, I believe we were forgotten. The atmosphere is pleasant and overall I'll give a 3.5 star rating.”

She was friendly, attentive, and took great care of me. I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was outstanding—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and a great portion. I hope they get that situation remedied when I go back.”

“I stopped in and had a few drinks. The bartender was friendly, not a vast selection of hard alcohol, but they had the regular stuff. I asked for food, but no food was available. 2 pool tables, one dart machine, slot machines with a touch game, and iTunes. It was a small place with no table setting, only a bar, but it looked clean and cozy. The bartender seemed very relaxed.”

“This is one of the last well-kept, fresh smelling sandwich shops left in this area. There are no hidden, upnocious, reoccurring woofing odors that hinder nor gives one pause whether they may be chancing food-borne illnesses or not. In fact, most toppings are so freshly, separately identifiable, until it's simply a pleasure to take your time ordering your food... but beware of the other customers who don't have the heightened sensories or don't take the time to slow down and notice simple pleasures as such.”

“Gave a lower review for the fact that the restaurant did not have my reservation logged on their system. Even upon showing them the confirmation provided by Open Table. Their reservation log sheet was a hand written sheet of paper so who knows where the fault lies. They did get us seated relatively quickly after a short wait. That said, I felt a little like the stance the restaurant was projecting was that since it wasn't on their books, then it must never have existed.”

“Just wanted to share my love for El Zarape in Joliet! It's become my go-to spot. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but their tacos and tortas are amazing. Seriously, they're so generous with the meat – way more than other Mexican places I've been to. And the best part? The meat is super lean! It's a little pricier than some other restaurants, but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality.

One small thing – the restaurant could use a little sprucing up. The booths aren't the comfiest, and maybe not the best for those of us with a bit more… *comfortable* seating preferences. Because of that, I usually just order for pickup. But the food is totally worth it!”

“Not nearly as great as everyone said it'd be. However, it was still very good. Especially for as cheap at it is nowadays. The sliders are definitely the best thing they have. The atmosphere was quite. But extremely quiet. Talking with my friends in the lobby seemed too loud. Other than that, they had very good customer service. They we're fast and accurate with all of out orders. Will go again!”

“Was in Joliet and happened upon this bar and decided to stop. Best decision ever !!! The Bloody Mary’s are one of the best I’ve ever had and at a reasonable price ! They also had a nice choice of craft beers and a very welcoming bartender! We plan on stopping by every time we are in town !!!”

“As a member of the coffee club for about a year now, I wish this location would train its staff on how to make coffee. Lately the coffee has been really weak and watered down. Iced coffee is my go to but this location ways seems watered down. Please train your staff to make a great cup of coffee. Thats all we ask. 🙂 I did mention this to the manager a fee months ago and it did get better for a bit...”
