“The owners made me feel like I was a regular, and had been going there for years.., but it was actually my first time eating there . The Lemon chicken soup was the best I've ever had! Went back the next day to bring some home to Missouri. (Here on vacation and wanted to share with friends when I get home) I will definitely be back. Ohh and the homemade bread they serve with the soup came out of the oven while they packaged my soup to go, and it was warm and sliced for me on the spot. It doesn't get better than this family owned hidden gem. Thank you Grapevine, I'll be back next time I visit!“

“The Greek chicken was very good, the chicken organti was very good, the gyros were very good and the beef and chicken kabobs were very good, the flaming cheese was very good as was the service from Joseph. We were a little nervous at first because the host/owner came to the front desk numerous times and said just a minute, but eventually, everything was great in a very loud restaurant. We will go back four people four dinners 1 bottle of roditys and 1 appetizer with tip under $200“

“I had a wonderful time with my beloved cousins. The service was great and they treat you like you are their family and are just so enthusiastic. At one point there was a spontaneous spot of Greek singing with me and my cousins joining in with our server Pete!!Food was delicious, we had so many dishes which we shared in the traditional way we Greeks do and then we also had our main dish bit by then we most of us were pretty full so we took them home for later ( which my daughter enjoyed my dolmades)Love Greek Islands, hope we go again soon!!“

“We recently had a large family party at this restaurant. It was my first time at this restaurant but not the first time having Greek food. The food was fantastic! The staff were incredible and so attentive to our party and needs.the gentlemen who worked our event were available and constantly bringing drinks. Our orders were taken perfectly and the food was delivered hot and fresh. My chicken kabobs were cooked perfectly. I wish I didn't eat so much delicious French and Italian bread with olive oil so I could try more of the vegetable dish and potatoes they served. The saganaki was mouth watering. “I've wanted to check out this place for a while and finally did. I went with a group of 5 people for dinner.The itself place is beautiful. It's got a great ambiance as well.The food was good. I will say that the food is very overpriced. I can get similar or better food for a much lower price.Jacob was our waiter and he was wonderful. He was attentive and so kind.“

“Great spot for in and out service! They offer fast service while still maintaining high quality eats. Burger stand ambiance with top quality food. I've ordered from here many times, and haven't found anything I didn't like. Some of my favorites are Philly cheesesteak and Philly chicken. Both are super yummy! Gyros, burgers, Italian beef, bbq beef, all delicious. Oh, don't forget the fries. I order mine well done and they nail it spot on every time. The pizza puffs RULE! “Excellent Greek and Chicago specialties. We started with Saganaki (flaming Greek cheese), they used to flamblé at table side, now they flamblé near the table and when it goes put they serve it. We also had calamari (kalamari). I strayed from the Greek traditional dishes and tried the fried smelts; if you grew up in the midwest, you might have tried smelts, and Central Gyros served them exactly as I remember my mother did. We also got Pastitsio, a Greek lasagna type dish. All entrées are served with soup, and we all chose the egg lemon soup. Solid choice. Overall Central Gyros has been doing Greek food for decades and provide great food at reasonable price.Parking: There is a free multi-level parking garage across the street.“

“While the renovations have been nice and still in progress, what makes me sad is the portion reductions. I am still a fan of the country fried steak taste despite its size reduction and more than 1/3 less of tater tots. At least the service still comes with a smile, but I'm not sure how loyal the other customers will remain. “UPDATE: I think they changed something and the chicken skewers were actually pretty good.I gave this place 2 tries and honestly I really wanted to like it but the food is not great. First time I ordered chicken souvlaki sandwich - meat was flavorless :( it just lacks taste. The “taste sauce” that they put by default is not good at all and simply does not fit with this kind of food. I don’t know why it is by default like that. Mediterranean food usuallt comes with tahini or tzatziki sauce.2nd time - ordered falafel sandwich. That sandwich was definitely not what I expected. Not sure it they know how a falafel should look like and more importantly how it should taste.Otherwise I like how they wrap each sandwich in a nice packaging that keeps it warm and without being messy.“

“Such a nice restaurant. My wife suggested we go there since she used to go there often as a little girl. That's small, a local neighborhood joint which is what I really like to frequent.The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice.“

They have a very large menu with a little something for everyone. The prices are fair and the food is tasty. They offer bottled beers as well as some Mexican drinks. There is usually some sort of sport game playing on the large TV. They also have a separate gambling room. I have been here numerous times and try something different to eat each time. Overall, it's a nice place to stop and grab a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere is just a place to eat with customers ranging from people of all backgrounds. If you are in the area and need a quick bite this is a good place to go eat.“

Nothing horrid prices but well worth the pay. The gyro was great, and the fries were most definitely fresh. As I was leaving, they said bye. They always have the most tastiest foods and my favorite is the gyro plate because it’s such a good portion that can be made into two meals if you are spreading out your meals. As for the food, I ordered their classic gyro wrap, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, the tzatziki sauce was creamy and flavorful, and the pita bread was warm and soft. The portion size was generous, and the prices were reasonable.
