“This location is amazing! The food is great and so is the cleanliness! By far the most amazing staff! Also a fabulous place for people to work. The managers value their employees as well as the corporation in general. This was my daughter’s first job, they taught her how to work hard and that hard work pays off! Especially for kids with their first job, this can set the tone for the way they view being employed… grateful that my daughter’s first experience was here! She loves working and has a great outlook on life because of this experience!!!!!! Thank you Tia, Alexis and Kyle!!!“

“We found this place on a whim after our daughters soccer practice. It was clean, fast, & delicious! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our kids even got some treats from the owner. Quesabirria was amazing on handmade tortillas. Horchata was perfect. We will DEFINITELY be coming back often.“

“Small place, room for about 20 people to sit. Ordered carry out, staff was great, food prep was fast. Two-steak taco dinner ($10) , and a two-tostada dinner ($15). Food was tasty, and fresh.
If in the area, I’d definitely order again.“

“Its a great place if you are looking for great tacos that is no nonsense. Place is inside the little Mexican grocery store and has three tables, doesn't look the prettiest but it is a great place. Reminds me of great taco joints in Cd. Juarez. Prices were great too. Food was made fresh because when I got my tacos and they were so hot I couldn't hold them long. Chicken tacos were excellent. Easily coming back here.“

“Came from TikTok. Food was great had queso birrias, asada fries. Table was dirty had to have them clean it. had to ask for silverware it wasn’t placed with our food. Wasn’t directed to grab my drink out the cooler had to ask to make sure it was okay. But overall the food was great. napkins was on the wall? To make services better provide the information where the items are and greet with a smile. My opinion the silverware should be out on the counter if your not gonna put it on the trays.“

“This is a hidden gem with great Mexican food. Their menu was huge and they offer amazing meals. I ordered their steak taco and chili relleno tacos are delicious. They served it while hot. The service is top notch. Will definitely recommend this spot.“

“We went to Mago in Barrington last night for the first time and were blown away. They were very busy so we sat at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. Food was terrific and the menu features things you won’t find at your standard Mexican restaurant like three choices of mole. Tableside guacamole is absolutely lovely. I have to say, though, what made our experience was watching the magnificent bartender. His efficiency, speed, and obvious dedication to what he was doing was just a marvel. He never stopped moving! We will definitely be back as every aspect of our experience was very enjoyable.“

“While traveling I chose to stop and try something tasty and fast. What I discovered was a hidden gem that proved quality homemade food can be served friendly and fast. Great fresh salsas only complimented very tasty street tacos and the price was more than reasonable given the quality. Well done“

“A real authentic Mexican restaurant in Highland Park or in a lot of the North Shore is hard to find so I’m glad I found this one! Food is great, Service has been really friendly and attentive. These last few times I’ve gone. Enjoy sitting on the outdoor patio. Definitely coming back!!“

“Great dinner tonight. Mexican Indian Fusion. The seasoned chips were served hot and Salsas were flavorful. Portions were plentiful and the prices were family friendly. You can choose 3 different street tacos with rice and beans for $15! The staff was very attentive as we were outside dining. And the waiter left us a pitcher of water for the table. It was most appreciated. We definitely will return.“
