“We only eat Chinese food from this family's place. It's NYC take out delicious which is a big deal. The portions are giant and everything is super fresh. Selection is great and all of the family eats it so I'm all in.The staff is always friendly and helpful and they always make sure I have any extras i may want. “Finally tried Emily's after driving past so many times. Easy getting into...lots of parking. I love the facility; multiple rooms (which I enjoy.) The menu is large and the offerings look quite filling. The pancakes are terrific. Our server was friendly but not very attentive, although I appreciated the carafes of coffee for the table. Overall a great option for breakfast/ lunch.“

“We are from WI and found Big Ed's because it was close to the hotel we stayed at. Unfortunately they we out of a few favorites but we found others and all 3 meals were outstanding. I had a full rack of ribs which were amazing and the wings were just as good. Service was great and super friendly...every employee was helpful and had smiles on their faces. Love the mom and pop local family business and already planning trips back to try the favorites they were out of as well as past the word on to everyone we know that loves BBQ. “Four of us had a most wonderful lunch, trying Tina's specially prepared Italian dishes and desserts. She is incredible with the love she puts into this place, her food and the decor. The staff provided great service and worked together for our every need. Tina made it even more special by singing "Happy Birthday" in Italian for my cousin. “We were looking for a breakfast place in Volo while waiting for the museum to open and this place didn't disappoint.its not much looking from the outside but the food was excellent.. we had ham off the bone ,my friend had egg pizza of some sort and it was amazing..the waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Food portion was more than enough but we finished it all. The place was very clean. There's gaming too and a good size bar.. we will definitely come back for lunch next time and see what they offer..“

“I have been going to Hayashi for years. Whenever, I have a craving for Japanese strip steaks, sushi, or Udon that is my go-to place. Excellent Food, Excellent Service, and Excellent Ambiance. I would highly recommend this Japanese steak house. They go out of their way to serve their customers. My most recent trip with my fiancee was no exception.The servers are friendly and helpful, the food is delivered quickly (even when they are busy), the portions are huge and the quality of the food is outstanding. While I've had their pizza before and really enjoyed it, I constantly find myself drawn to the "Bootie," an Italian beef sandwich topped with mozzarella cheese. It's got enough au jus in the sandwich to make it very flavorful (though next time I'll probably ask for some extra on the side, as I love sandwiches like this extra wet).My fiancee was impressed by the salad that came with her dinner, noting that it looked and tasted like it was made fresh to order. And she couldn't believe the serving size of her plate of lasagna. If there is a complaint - and I use that term very loosely - it's that there is so much good food served in the course of a meal that neither of us had room for dessert! “We live 2.5 hours south of Lake Villa, but we were meeting some friends from Florida for dinner. They were in the area for their grandson’s graduation from Great Lakes Naval Academy. Found this place via Google and it had great reviews, with good reason. We wish we lived closer because it would be a favorite for sure. My husband had the BBQ ribs, BEST ribs and BBQ sauce EVER, I had the orange chicken again BEST orange chicken I've ever had. “Happened to be in Antioch with my daughter and stopped in The Lodge for a late lunch. I had one of the best, if not the best chicken wrap with fries. It was wrapped, then heated on the outside, delicious. My daughter had a grilled cheese with tomato with onion rings, she loved it.
