Coffee was good and we were very happy w the pork chops, chicken philly and chicken club sandwiches. That being said my salad lacked tomatoes and cucumbers. My chops were advertised to be center cut loin and I got one loin and one rib chop.“

“Sherard and Stephanie are the best. They alone are a reason to go and enjoy the great food and atmosphere this place creates. But if you do go, you must try their New York strip steak, delicious and cooked to perfection along with their truffle fries. Their cocktails are also very good, strong. It is an expensive experience but it's a worthwhile one.“

“Uncork, Unwind is a gem! My friend and I stumbled upon it after moving to Des Plaines, and we’ve loved it ever since. They have a cozy, inviting atmosphere, and the owners and staff are absolutely amazing! So friendly and knowledgeable. The monthly regional wine selections are unique and always delicious. “A group of us went here last night. It was fantastic in every way. From the moment we walked in it felt like we were in Spain- from the greeting by the waiters when we walked in, to the music, the wine bottles on the wall .... And most of all... THE FOOD!!! The Gambas Al Ajillo was the standout dish- so incredibly flavorful and authentic- but more flavor than most tapas bars I went to in Barcelona. We also had the octopus, chuleton steak, patatas bravas and like 9 more. Everything better than the next. My friends husband said the steak was one of best steaks he's ever had. The wine list was well curated, amazing job there and the vermouth hit the spot. We loved the cava. The service was top notch- Juan our waiter explained each dish and his recommendations were perfect. The food comes out fast - the whole staff did a wonderful job. It really shows how much they love their jobs-everyone was smiling and laughing. It is a bit loud at times because the dining room is small but we loved the whole vibe. What a hidden gem!!! Can't wait to go back and order takeout!“
“Service, ambiance, atmosphere and wine is what you will find at this location. There are some foo foo small bite foods available as well but I did not get into those upon my initial visit. This is a lovely fairly recent addition to Highland Park and one that I recommend you explore. If the name sounds familiar, it should. There are two other locations you may very well be familiar with, one on Waukegan road in Wheeling, and the other in Roselle. I would recommend starting with a flight to get a better feel for the range of wines they offer. There are your expected staples, along with some more aperitif sweeter options. Some of my faves this visit were the Tempranillo 2019,Sauvignon blanc, and the Syrah. The sweets were honestly too sweet for this kid. There is a wine club that you can join and I recommend that you do, we did! If you are looking for a third place to catch up with friends or family, the HP location will definitely lend itself well. Also take advantage of Wine Down Wednesdays for additional deals as well. If you happen to be visiting The Lot for an event, caddy corner across the street, this venue is literally steps away, be sure to stop in and say hello. If needed, the parking across from the venue allows three hours free.“
“Open, very, summery atmosphere! Feels like you're grabbing dinner on vacation to places like Palm Beach or Miami. Such a great place for a brief escape from Chicago winters. Elegant but still casual. Bright colors, nothing dark and dingy like several if the more old school Italian restaurants. Food is excellent! A good variety. I had the linguine with clans and I loved how it wasn't saturated in butter and garlic. Tasted like it does in Italy! Bread was fresh, beet salad was surprisingly delicious, and the Gelato was some of the best I ever had. We got hazelnut and pistachio. Coffee was good and strong. Service was good though we had to ask for several things which should have been already at the table, like grated cheese, salt and pepper, sharing plates should have come with the dessert as they gave enough spoons to know we were all sharing, etc. I've been here when it's jam packed and the service has always been great! This time it was less busy and we had to ask the bus boy for things. But, that being said, the waitress was very polite and immediately took care of requests when she was present. I wanted a table by the window and the host willingly accommodated us by making a 4 top for us. One plus from coming on a lesser busy time was that it was much quieter,l. Usually it's pretty loud in there when it's busy. But I always appreciate the uplifting vacation like atmosphere! I've never been disappointed, and this is probably my 4th time eating at Lucia Rose and will not my last.“

“Cesar. I was having the worst day because I found out my mom needed emergency surgery so I was rushing to get to Scottsdale and stopped for a glass of wine. (Or two) I realize I was late for my flight and ran to my gate. I of course left my laptop there. Thank you for reporting it because I was screwed if not. “Love this place! I'd been there a few times when they had igloos set up outside and enjoyed it and then most recently for a moms' night. The GM and owner were great and so responsive during planning and the servers were excellent, patient, and helped us have a relaxing night (not rushing or pushing us out). Upon entering we were greeted with smiles and treated like valued patrons ( although it was our first visit).We sat at the bar and the bartender Marshall provided impeccable customer service. He was very knowledgeable about the selection options and he can make a pretty stiff drink. The overall feel of this establishment was very intimate and comfortable. If you are there, you will feel like you SHOULD be there enjoying a nice glass of wine. If we visit the area again, this place will certainly be on the agenda!“
“My goodness what a sweet gem of a place. Off the beaten path and I would’ve never gone here if it wasn’t for an event. They accommodated our group of 12 and were so attentive. We ordered most everything on the menu including bolognese, carbonara, all sorts of salads, crispiest fries, a couple of pizzas. Everything was solid and as hoped. The service was outstanding. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, very casual. Most people dinning appeared to be regulars there and we could see why. If you’re in the area, definitely give this place a try.“
“We had a girls dinner at Coopers Hawk and all was fantastic - the food, atmosphere and service. Our waitress Paula was amazing and just so sweet attentive. I ordered some appetizers to munch on. The drunken shrimp (came with 5) were good and crisp. the ‘over the border egg rolls’ were the best I have ever had! Two of the three dipping sauces it came with were dynamite! In additional to their famous crispy brussels sprouts, I will also be ordering the on the border egg rolls too. The Cooper’s hawk ale was also a delightful“
“My family threw a surprise bday party for me at Tuscan. It was wonderful! The food was fantastic and never ending! The bartenders made sure everyone’s drink needs were met. We rented the entire place…..great venue for a private event! I highly recommend it!“
“We hired Froggy's from a list of approved caterers at our venue. They also provided some dessert. Froggy's tried to meet all our requests and people seemed to enjoy the food. The service was attentive during our meal and open bar time. There were some unfortunate issues at the end of the night and a missing cake, but Froggy's did their best to resolve them (for example, making a new cake top for us to enjoy on our first anniversary).“
