“This place is a good spot. It's usually busy, but they always seem to sit you down fast enough and take your order. Food is delicious and the staff is very kind and helpful. One of my favorites here is the steak omelette, I highly recommend it and yes that's how they spell it haha.“
“Always incredible - one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city (I get the pablano/veggie and add sausage ? - which was a staff suggestion). Everyone who works there is friendly and engaging! If they had a yearbook, I would write, "have a cool summer - don't ever change".“
“Hands down one of my favorite breakfast/lunch spots in the city. Great food and service. Cute, quiet place. I just love this place and can't say enough great things about it. I drive out of the way for this place because it is worth it.“
“BMBC is a great neighborhood-y restaurant. It’s comfy, the decor feels very homey, and every time I go there, everyone is smiling. They have waiting areas in and outdoors which is so great. I’ve been to many restaurants that don’t have waiting areas at all and it can be awkward. The service is always outstanding. my husband and I have been lucky enough to have Jenrry as our server a couple of times and he’s always very polite and quick, always making sure we have what we need and answering our questions (I had questions about their gigantic juicer, lol). Last but certainly not least, THE FOOD! I’ve tried many things, never had a bad meal here, but always come back to the french omelette. The drinks are also always amazing (the coffee is always great). I usually bring out of town friends here and they always love it. See you soon, BMBC!“
“Came here on my lunch break and I enjoyed everything! Surprisingly it was not too busy for a Saturday late morning so I was seated immediately. Both the host and waiter were very kind and attentive. Although I was on phone, there was some nice music playing in the background and dining area was very neat and clean. Lots of windows allowed plenty of natural sunlight as well. I'm looking forward to coming again to try the chilaquiles or sandwiches. I had the waffle combo which hit the spot and the waffle was perfectly crisp but fluffy inside.“
“Popped into this place for a brunch during our latest Chicago trip. Yummy! Very enjoyable experience!! Eggs prepared exactly as ordered, potatoes had terrific seasoning, and the whole dish was so warm and welcoming (hash)!! Other key takeaways...cute tabletops, extremely clean, and a friendly staff to boot. So glad we chose this spot. :)Kid-friendliness: My son who is medium picky also enjoyed the hash and ate all three bacon slices as a side!“
“Nothing but amazing things to say about this place! From the atmosphere, servers, food and Mary herself! You feel at home there. Mary knows you, the staff is beyond amazing. Some of the sweetest servers out there! Mary has theme days and in the summer it’s not uncommon for her to have DJ’s outside! Go check it out!“
“k bendición, such a warm and welcoming atmosphere! i love that as a spanish speaker i felt right at home while also receiving the best of both worlds cuisine. service was jimmy johns kind of crazy fast and the food was absolutely delicious!! certainly a step up from your regular diner! would highly recommend?“
“So sorry the pic tells it all.. the food was amazing ? nothing left and forgot to take a pic because when the food came out we didn’t stop eating lol ? the coffee and service was on point. Our waiter Julian paid attention to us and our creamer “
“Wish it hadn’t taken me so long to try Ahuevo! Really excellent food (we had the tots, a breakfast burrito, and an egg/sausage sandwich), and great service (the owner slipped us some cookies to try too!). Definitely gonna keep my eye on this place when they move to their own space! Will miss them being so close by but always love to support smaller businesses led by quality people.“
“First time going here and it was such a welcoming experience! The wait wasn't that long and the food is made fresh! Great prices and amazing tasting food! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! we got a double cheeseburger and patty melt. THANK YOU TO THE COOK! ❣“
“The Challah French toast is AMAZING! We loved everything we ordered. I’m only taking away 1 star because the coffee was pretty terrible. When your food is next level, please serve coffee that is up to your clearly incredibly high standards! Intelligentsia? Metropolis? We have so many great local choices! But, overall, fantastic experience! We’ll be back!“
“I moved from Niles to the south side of Chicago about 8 years ago and it's comforting knowing the food here has not changed! Still as delicious as I remember and owner has kept the prices fair where other restaurants are price gouging. Love this gem of a place. It's hard to find good food with quality ❤️?“
“The best hollandaise sauce I’ve had. Ever. It’s made in house every day. And it’s PERFECT!I could wrap myself in it lol. It’s that good. The food is wonderful. All fresh. But the sauce. Unforgettable.Whenever I’m in Chicago, I come here for it.“
“This was a great experience. The atmosphere was great and the service was to. I am a person who's experience is largely influenced by the service and this did not disappoint. Our waitress was very personable and made sure we has a pleasant experience. She's the one from Costa Rica, if you go their. The food was very good. I had the steak and eggs and the steak was cooked perfectly as I ordered.I hope they keep up the quality of service because if they do, I've found my new regular breakfast spot.“
“The food is very good but the service is mediocre. The young servers can be a little more friendly and also they should honor the prices that are on the menu in front of you and if they've changed, then they should go ahead and change it on the menu.“
“We stumbled upon Flying Saucer while visiting Chicago and are glad we did. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is fun with nice indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff were friendly, helpful and on top of it. This is the type of restaurant I wish I had in my neighborhood. If you’re in the area it’s a must visit.“
“Nice atmosphere, excellent service, and good prices/value. Not a ton of savory vegetarian options. Most meat free stuff are the super sugary items. Also, the coffee situation is in desperate need of an upgrade. Tasted like nothing, it was just hot brown water.“
“Great quality food with a Latin twist. Servers were friendly and helpful as well. Would love to come back and try other items that looked good on the menu. Also recommend getting the side of fruit. It was all fresh and a good sized portion.“
“My friends and I, had breakfast here today and the service was awesome. I was seated quickly, and had many items, to choose from on their menu. The waiter was super nice and friendly and checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything. The ambiance was great, the food was fresh and a lot of it. I took my leftovers home. Thank you Dem and staff for a GREAT service. Take care“
“Been here a few times for breakfast and it's ok. We ordered the skirt steak skillet and unfortunately it lacked flavor. We tried adding salt and pepper but unfortunately it didn't help much. The service was good even though it was pretty busy. The coffee cup had lipstick most likely from previous user.“
“Been meaning to stop in and finally had a craving for a good burrito. I was not disappointed! Great fillings in a lightly grilled tortilla, accomplished by delicious sauces to add some zing. It's served cut so you can enjoy it as a sandwich. And I saved room for a generous serving of flan that was amazing. It was firm and delicately textured rather than the overly smooth custard that I've experienced elsewhere and had a wonderful flavor that I really enjoyed.Do yourself a favor and try a visit. I'm going back, and I bet you will too“
“A Chicago suburb hidden gem!! This place has a wide variety of tasty breakfast options that will make you wanting to try more. If you go and check out this breakfast place you have to get the Honey Biscuits to start out. The service was friendly and quick to get your food on the table. The place itself is a warm and welcoming little breakfast spot.“
“A GREAT cafe. Food is fresh and delicious. For breakfast, the brunch sandwich (with avocado, eggs, onion and dill) is terrific. The apple pecan French toast with homemade vanilla sauce is spectacular. The Vegetarian omelette and oatmeal with granola and brown sugar are also worth writing home about. They like serving fresh fruit! A real gem.“
“So right off the bat, if you like ham in plentiful supply, this is your spot. Pretty busy suburban joint, good for a variety of breakfast items. What I would recommend is anything with ham. I don't know if they have a pig farm in the back but these guys load your plate with ham to the point that white flags come out and pants get unzipped. I had the omelette (with ham, obviously). It was tasty - but the egg ratio to ham was too little. Next time I will, and would recommend the skillet with scrambled eggs. The omelette was super thin, where is the scrambled eggs that my friend had seem more proportional dish . Service was OK, not great. Coffee was not bad, also not great. Fresh squeezed orange juice is lights out though, so I would definitely recommend that. I will definitely go back, just a little bit wiser this time .“
“I almost never leave reviews, but I order from here way more than I care to admit. I have not been inside or eaten there, I’ve only ordered via delivery, but I have never been disappointed! The food is really good - very tasty, still arrives hot, they are open late, good portions, and not too pricey. The enchiladas and flautas are my main goto.“
“Whenever I'm in Chicago I search for hidden gem foodie spots. I mean Chicago is literally foodie Heaven. We didn't dine in because we were trying to prepare for an event but I'm kind of glad we didn't. It's small and dark inside, and I felt like the tables were too close together. But they made up for it all with an AMAZING breakfast. I got the gyro skillet. Absolutely delicious!! The picture does it absolutely no justice.. I never thought of gyro as a breakfast item and now I know I need it often. There were huge portions of meat and amazing tzatziki sauce and nobody will ever call them stingy with the cheese because for every bite I got delicious feta cheese chunks mixed in. It was amazing. The pancakes were basic, there was nothing wrong with them but I'm not going to reminisce on them. But that gyro skillet!!! I can't wait to get it again“
“Brookfield Breakfast was recommended to us by a friend and let me just say that the wrap I had was phenomenal! I ordered the chicken Cesar wrap with sweet potato fries and my husband ordered the chilaquiles. Everything was so fresh and perfectly portioned. We will definitely be coming back!“
“My favorite breakfast spot in the city, it's the kind of cozy diner where there are regulars sitting at the counter, the coffee refills are never ending, and the food is not only delicious but almost half the price compared to most breakfast restaurants. I can't recommend it enough.“
“This is a family favorite! We go here often on weekends, and suggest it to others when they are looking for a new breakfast restaurant in the area! The million dollar bacon and bacodo omelette are two of my favorite. The shrimp and grits was a seasonal dish that I tried recently, and it was really good!“
“1/2020 Sandra is great leading the charge here. Love Gerardo's breakfast cooking! 2019 Consistently good. Breakfast is good. Salad bar and sandwiches are nice. Pretty good variety of food. Good for breakfast or lunch. Sandra the manager is nice. Always working hard and always smiling. Gerardo is awesome at breakfast time. Very pleasant to work with and he is a fantastic chef!“
“Food was good - highly recommend the pancakes. Nice portions...I couldn't eat it all. Our waitress was great. She was on point, attentive, & engaging. First time here and glad I saw it. We were on our way to a chain breakfast spot and I saw this place and wanted to give it a try.“
“Met a friend for breakfast & conversation. Comfortable, sunny dining room and friendly service. All the usual egg dishes, with some fun twists, and a dandy assortment of avocado toast options. Very conversation-friendly!Parking: Parking lot surrounds Egg Harbor and their immediate neighbors, plus street parking in the same block is also OK.“
“Somewhat quiet place to get a meal. Tried their shakshuka and was pleasantly surprised with how good it tasted. The staff were incredibly hospitable and were very helpful with answering questions. Their house made jam was also amazing and went really well with the English muffin.“
“This restaurant is a classic, comfy, corner place to get breakfast or lunch. The food is delicious and the menu has lots of classic restaurant dishes... may I suggest the chicken kabobs ?.It's so nice to just sit in a booth and enjoy a cup of coffee with a friend.Wonderful place!“
“Courageous Bakery and Cafe has some solid breakfast and pastry choices. My husband is a huge sucker for breakfast burritos and I am a huge fan of buttery, flakey biscuits. Courageous has both so it's a win-win for us! Besides breakfast, we would typically order croissants, cupcakes, and/or 4 inch birthday cake to go. None of those have disappointed us. The only downside is the horchata loca latte was somewhat mediocre in which both horchata and coffee flavors were underwhelming.“
“The food is sometimes great and sometimes you order a Benedict and get medium (closer to hard) yolks in the poached eggs and curdled hollandaise sauce like I got last Tuesday. When it's good, I'm a fan. But of the last 5 times I went, 3 we're good and 2 were bad. Also, if you are a tea drinker, don't order the hot tea. They bring it loose leaf with no way to remove the tea so it is already really over steeped before it even gets to the table and by the time you have it in your cup it's mostly tannins. When it's done right the province Benedict is delicious.Vegetarian options: The province Benedict is avacado, wild mushrooms, and tomatoes smothered in hollandaise on a flaky croissant. Not vegan, but a delicious vegetarian breakfast.“
“I ordered through Uber eats and let me tell you, SO GOOD. I ordered a breakfast burrito but added special instructions for everything to be on the side because I wanted to assemble my own burrito. I ordered it this way because they only had one type of breakfast burrito on their menu so I ordered other things on the side that I also wanted to add to the burrito. They followed my instructions to the T and they give good portions! I would definitely order again or even dine in if I was in the area! 10/10 would recommend!“
“This place is amazing not only the food like my favorites chocolate chip cookies or thelemon poppyseed scone but also the staff is so kind and friendly that I wish I lived closer so I can come here everyday. My favorite coffee shop for sure!“
“Another small cozy spot in the area. Your regular American food with a little south American mixed in. Can't complain, used to go here when it was under another name and then another before that but a quick lunch or breakfast is what they will deliver on.“
“First walking in my boyfriend and I were skeptical because the restaurant was empty but our experience with the food was fantastic. My boyfriend got the steak chilaquiles and they were phenomenal and I got the chicken and waffles which were crispy and flavorful. The Bloody Mary was a hit and the only thing we ordered that was lacking was the vanilla latte. I would recommend to friends and go back.“
“Always a great experience here. It can get crowded on the weekends but I never have waited a long time to sit or for service. The food is very good! They have a lot of different options including fun shakes! My favorite is the southwest omelet! I loved it as a skillet and tried is as an omelet and fell in love! They have lots of fun pancake options as well. Good meal options with lots to offer making it not that expensive!“
