We recently moved from the city to Elmhurst and were looking for tacos that could live up to our neighborhood taco guys and we are glad to have found taco villa. “Wendy( server) was very friendly. The food was incredibly delicious! My wife had the nachos and they were amazing. Presentation was beautiful. I had pastor tacos. The pork was very flavorful, the sauces were tasty (a little kick) but not blazing hot. Sides were rice and beans and the beans were homemade. Overall we were more than pleasantly surprised. Definitely a place to return to, we were told the shrimp tacos are supposed to be the Bomb! Have to come back for those.“

“Hidden gem !!!! Quality Food. Clean. The people are so kind. You can TELL they love what they do. Take for example the salsa stand, they make a variety of mild and hot home made grilled pepper salsas (FREE) for you to put on your food. That alone was fantastic. I like a simple veggie burrito with extra beans. They will grill you up some onions and pepper as well to add to it. Frankly, they are accommodating and true chefs. Sunday they have a special lamb thing i may check out. In short, it's an authentic mexican restaurant. Simple. They cook things to order, so be patient. Or, order ahead! So lucky to have this place. They should put some quiet pretty mexican music on to add to their already cute/authentic atmosphere.“

“I've been here many times now, and love it!! It's busy most weekends and holidays and nights tbh, lol. So expect a bit of a wait, sometimes. It's worth it. Besides you can walk up the street and have a quick beer at Orange and Brew or Emmett's Brewing Co. while you're on their waiting list. “Wanted to check out riverside and it's located nicely in their downtown area. Parking is pretty easy. We did like the drinks and the decor was unique. The downside was that it took such a long time to get our drinks despite there being multiple servers and Or bartenders. Also, they need to update their drink prices and include information on surcharges. It was annoying to see the bill.“

“I will definitely come back for the carne asada torta that tasted charboiled with the soft bun. Also, the warm and soft lengua tacos with the green salsa. They pack the tacos with lots of meat and 2 tortillas each. Horchata tasted homemade with a fine grain and obvious cinnamon flavor. Overall, everything was well made and flavored.“

“This is another great family owned and operated buisness. They have a wide variety of specialty sandwiches. They offer variety of dinner options. I haven't used the catering before but I'm sure these guys are good at it. The restaurant is a hidden gem and need to look for it a little. It's clean and didn't see any signs of insects, etc....The specialize in Mexican food but as I said they have multiple specialty dinners that are not Mexican. I personally ordered a patty melt to see how they tasted, and it was great. Please support family owned businesses. I think corporate will do fine. “After googling many places in our area my husband found this place to get us some Quesabirrias. And my husband and son went to order some dinner. They were on point very good the meat was tender and it was not greasy. The consume was perfect for dipping. Everything was hot. The dinner comes with three and some rice and refried beans. The tamales were very good and moist not dry.Overall the place was great and the food was excellent, we found a new taco joint to go to. I usually love to add photos. Sorry but this time the food was gone so next time I’ll post pictures of the food.“

“The food here at least for the carnitas, are hands down the best, i live near the ORD airport and used to drive down all the way down to the southside for some good carnitas. We tried the huevos rancheros and chilaquiles with eggs from the breakfast menu, and also ordered one quesadilla and one tamal with mole. There was no dedicated wait staff, so it had a fast food feel upfront, but the food was full service restaurant quality. We didn't have to wait that long to get our food. Speed was on par with or slightly faster than a typical sit-down mexican restaurant. Overall, come for the food, not the dining experience. 4.3 stars! “I ordered pick up for half a gallon of red pozole and ceviche. The ceviche is exceptional and diced exactly how I like it, very small, and came cold just how it’s supposed to be. The pozole is delicious and the toppings come in a large portion. Pozole was still very hot when I get home. I like cabbage, cilantro and radish instead of lettuce so if you order here make sure you have the toppings you like at home.“

“I work around the corner from here and found it by chance. I will say I will be back. I called to find out where they were located and Cindy explained exactly how to find her place. My coworker and I went to go check out the restaurant and Cindy and a gentleman greeted us as we walked in. Even asked if we had just called. This to me is how you treat your customers. As my coworker and I waited for our breakfast burritos the smell of the restaurant was amazing. Cindy also chatted the whole time we waited and explained how she preps and what all goes into their fresh food. Cindy is caring and very passionate about her food and customer service. “Delicious, fresh, and fast service. I ordered a taco along with a chicken Philly and garlic fries. I added the extra olive/pepper medley to the Philly and it was amazing. The garlic fries are just seasoned and could use a touch more flavor, but they were still good. I will definitely go again.“
