“We discovered this gem of a coffee shop during a weather induced stopover in Quincy on our way from Chicago to Oklahoma City. The proprietors, Margarita and Bill, were warm and welcoming and regaled us with tales and history about Quincy, Mark Twain and the surrounding area. The coffee was excellent as was the food and we were charmed to have found respite there when most other shops were closed due to the weather! The decor was homey and rife with green plants and local art. We will come again!”

Brownies are melt in your mouth fudgy deliciousness. The mini angel food cakes are also fantastic! Will definitely be back on my next trip to Quincy! I may even look into having treats shipped.”

Avoid the Tiramisu version of pizza though. The artichokes cause the crispy crust to be soggy. They should probably come up with a different recipe for a signature pizza.”

Me and my wife always come here. The bang for your buck and quality cannot be overstated.
If you want Mexican this is the place to go. Take it from a fellow Mexican. This is the spot.
A typical meal can be about $20 for two people and you get wayyyy more than any fast food joint in town.

I am 67 years old and I’ve been eating there since I can remember my grandma Shelton used to send us up there with a little money to get us a made right and cherry Coke and some french fries and we can get that all for $.50. I.l the best sandwiches the best everything about the make d-Rite. I now live in Florida but anytime I come home to Quincy. I stop at the Madri with my whole family, and we can eat us some maid-Rites… it’s always a good time and I think you made right for being open all of these years and I would recommend it to anyone. “This place is a hidden gem! We went there with a lunch group of 17 that meet once a month. We called ahead and they had tables set up for our group. The food is so good and very reasonable. The daily specials include a drink for$9.99. You order at the counter, you get your own drink and refills, then they call your number and you pick it up from the pick up area. By the time I got my drink and sat down, they called my number. They said they are always fast because there are a lot of businesses around that come in for lunch and need to get back to work The staff is amazing! Definitely go check them out! “Livermore's as a business is closed. It was a great dive bar for the time it was open for after its purchase from Jim (Pops), who was the former owner of the building and original tavern called Drifter's.”

“I am in the PNW now but I grew up here and even worked at the original location on north 12th as a kid late 80,s early 90’s. This place is still family run and still has the same menu. I’m a fan favorite of the hot Sicilian. My go to every time I visit. Love it or hate it this place is an institution and if you really want to eat at a place all the locals know and I promise you have eaten at one time or another this is the place.”

“I am fed up with this place. Very poor customer service!!! This is the 3rd time they have screwed up my order for bagels for a holiday gathering. I placed an order 8 days ago and when I arrived to pick it up was told that they didn't have all the bagels, specifically the everything and chocolate chip ones, I ordered because of "supply chain" problems and had to substitute other bagels without bothering to call me and ask what I wanted instead. Meanwhile, the pickup order next to mine on the counter had everything bagels listed on their order. So apparently she just lied to my face. I had called yesterday to add 2 blueberry bagels to my existing order only to be told today that they don't have any more bagels at all. Apparently they don't have any concept of how to plan ahead to be able to fulfill existing orders prior to selling all their product to walk-ins. Don't bother ordering ahead, they won't have what you ordered anyway. And I just checked my order. Not only did they do all of the above but they also shorted me a bagel. So I paid for 18 and only got 17, 7 of which were not what I ordered! Inexcusable! Beyond annoyed! I'm done!”

Ordered our pizza and still haven't gotten it after 25 minutes. Wasn't offered chips and salsa. Which isn't on the menu as an appetizer. I don't recommend this place and probably won't be back. First and last time for me.”

“Tower, imo, is the best restaurant in quincy when you consider everything you look for in a restaurant. They have the best Mexican food in town. Their BBQ is sooo good. The wings are crispy and big! The sauce is also excellent. Great pizza as well. The portions are big and plentiful, especially when considering the prices. Their prices are phenomenal during this day and age when an order of fries at McDonald's is 4$. We order at least twice a month and have never been disappointed. They do need a better tenderloin but it's adequate. Fries are excellent. You won't be disappointed at Tower.”

I got a discount for being a volunteer fireman (not why I chose to join) and I appreciate that gesture so very much. Then I see you can buy pickle buckets and there are multiple stations throughout the shop where you can drop donations to help first responders get much needed equipment without raising taxes on people who don't have extra! Heck the lady at the counter even asked if I'd like to round up the price of my order to help our first responders out. It was a little noisy in there. The floor plan is very open and there is nothing to dampen the sound. It has an effect on the charm of the place. You have to try them out to understand. I sure hope you will stop by, round up your order and ask if they have a pickle bucket!”
