She didn’t even bother to ask if we wanted it with sour cream because of course we don’t and she knew it.We ended up ordering tacos al pastor, lengua, torta, tempiqua, horchata, jarrito. Sooo good!!“

“The birria was very good, except that I ordered two dishes and one order of tacos they only gave me one lemon, but I think that happens to all of us. Super recommended. In addition, they take the delicacy of giving you the shredded meat, which implies an extra effort that many do not make. “

My friends ordered the green chilaquiles and tried the Diablo sauce, which lived up to its name. All were delicious but next time I want to try just a regular order of Rojas chilaquiles. The line was out the door mid morning on a Sunday but the wait was worth it. It's pretty clean here but packed on the regular. Definitely recommend.“

“Lucidos has THE BEST Al pastor in the entire city of Chicago . I've been to a few dozen taco places in Chicago and this is the best of the best Al pastor. On el trompo is a good sign that they'll be delicious. On top of the spit it a whole pineapple which tastes so much better a little bit charred and not too sweet - unlike using canned pineapples as some restaurants do. The service is very friendly and it's a casual ambiance. I will absolutely be back. Love this place.“

I was not having a good day but tried my best to not show it. As I'm eating I saw a man come in. Eat by himself and then left. My surprise when I went to go pay. This man had paid for my food. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.“

At first glance, the restaurant is very very clean and well taken care of. Our order was three asada tacos and one chorizo taco for me, and for my husband, he got two asada tacos and two chorizo tacos. Prices are very reasonable, I would even say they're low. I think if they were to raise the prices people would still come here because the quality of the food is great(hopefully they don't do that to us haha). The portion sizes of the tacos were also more than you would expect. Definitely the lowest prices in the neighborhood for good quality food. The restaurant has a very homey, cultural, comfortable feel to it. Very peaceful. The front staff and backstaff are very kind and all very hardworking.
