“This restaurant is my favorite treat. The food is so flavorful, good portions, and has always arrived hot upon delivery. I love how there are so many different flavors between the dishes, so I can order a variety. One of my favorites is the butter chicken and dipping the naan bread into the sauce. Yum!!“

Good wine list and extensive menu. We would go more often if it wasn’t so pricey but it’s our go-to spot for special occasions.“

I am sometimes leery of having seafood in the Midwest unless it's a fancier place because I worry about freshness. But I don't worry at Bob Chin's because it's huge, always crowded - so you know the sheer volume they do means it's fresh. Service is good. Atmosphere is fun and fast paced.“

“We have been searching for decent “Chinese” food since moving to mchenry 8 months ago and NOTHING in the area was even close to being good. This was the first time I’ve had it since moving and I can FINALLY say we found the place. The egg rolls were so good, which is usually my biggest test on a place! The beef egg food young was also great, no big chunks of onions either. It was a good portion of ingredients, and the flavor was spot on. My husband had the chicken fried rice and orange chicken and he said it was really good - he usually says “it was fine” whenever we get Chinese, so this is a big compliment coming from him. The service getting the food was quick and still warm when we got it. I do remember coming here years ago, and remember it being really a great atmosphere and really good. So luckily with Uber Eats, we were able to have it delivered. I am thrilled to say I FINALLY found my go to spot!!!!“
“My boyfriend and I went here to try something different. It seems like it’s newer and hasn’t been open for a very long time. We did not regret anything. The man cooking at the grill was absolutely amazing and funny. The shrimp and seafood was out of this world. We’ve been to a lot of hibachi places in the area, even the more well-known ones and honestly, this one was both of our favorite. I also liked how it wasn’t crazy busy inside and you can actually, hear each other talk. I highly recommend this place. You will not regret it.“

However, there are two rooms where we were in one of them, and the sound of music and laughing and stuff carries from one room to another, interfering with speakers and conversations. Also, to get to a bathroom we had to walk through a room where other people had their own party, essentially violating their privacy. Still a good choice with reasonable prices.“

“The atmosphere for New Year's Eve was lively and loud to be sure. Entering through a back door into a narrow space was odd and not the most welcoming set-up, especially having parked on the street along Milwaukee Ave. The dining area was comfortable, aside from a couple guests who were loud and could be heard from several tables away. Service was good and pleasant though robotic and somewhat forced. The gentleman refilling water was superb and always on his game! We never had less than half a glass full---much appreciated! We came to Chrissoulas, having read excellent reviews. The food was good, including the pasta with chorizo and octopus and gyro. The pork medallions were only three, however, with a whole lot of salad, leaving one guest in our party inadequately full and value for the money poor. Menu options were overpriced in general though not outrageous. Two televisions playing sports over the bar did not seem in keeping with a fine dining establishment, but rather with a sports bar. Overall Chrissoulas was a decent experience with good food but not deserving of the amazing reviews seen elsewhere---a solid 3-4 stars out of 5.“

It was so much fun to try all the salsas they have at their open salsa bar. Next we ordered some Cajun fries, which had the perfect fry-to-seasoning ratio. Let me just say, the spice mix on the fries has just the right amount of kick! For the main courses, we took the 3 taco plate, kids quesadilla, and burritos. They were all so yummy, hot, and fresh! The one thing I can say is, I wish they gave more quesadilla. It was a pretty small quantity.Dessert. I recommend the fried ice cream. It is the best ice cream I have ever had. They used Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. It was so delish with the French vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream.Anyone that has the chance should definitely try this place! “Tokio Sake is a special place for our family. When we dine in person, we always find the staff attentive and friendly. You can also watch the sushi chefs meticulously preparing the sushi. They are prompt when we place take out orders. Most important of all, the caliber of the sushi is outstanding. We are a family of 6 and we all rate Tokio Sake sushi as the best in the area. “Went here on a Friday night recently for the first time with a friend. The host and the waitress made sure that my first experience would be unforgettable. We received delicious appetizers on the house. Service was probably the best service I've received in a really long time. And most importantly the food was delicious and fresh. Staff put so much effort into their service and food. It was refreshing to have such a positive experience at a local restaurant for a change. Will be back again soon!“
