“One of the best places in the area to get a healthy bite to eat! I've seen managers at nearby stores take their employees to eat here as well, instead of staying at their own establishment! Definitely coming back when in the Vernon Hills area! We just had a Zupas open closer to me, so we go there now! This location is also great!“
“The food was much better than expected, the servers were fast and polite, and the cashier working there was amazing and swift with her orders. The only reason I removed a star is because she was the only cashier working at that moment, but she was amazing.“
“Had a fabulous meal at Flame India (Libertyville location) tonite. Had the chicken & cilantro samosa for appetizer & for my main dish butter chicken & chili cheese naan. Our server Peter was very nice & attentive. I cant wait to come back again!“
“After growing up within the Latino community, eating authentic Mexican dishes, and learning how to cook within that community, I'm pretty particular about the Mexican food establishments I give my hard-earned cash to, because I know what good Mexican food is and it is often not what you get...Cinco Hermanos gets my money happily! As such, I often have certain requests that may not be on a menu, but I know are doable, based on my knowledge of Mexican cuisine. Not only do they happily receive my request during my phone order, the request is always executed correctly and to my liking. My husband doesn't like certain things in his burrito, and when ordering from other places, those things were either in there, or replaced with other "fillers." He orders the same exact thing every time, so he has often been disappointed...and his requests are easy like no lettuce and no rice inside the burrito...no biggie, right? The first time we ordered the way my hubby likes his burrito, from Cinco Hermanos, not only did they get the order right, they added some extra meat in the burrito as the "filler." That's customer service and attention to detail right there!I love that their tacos ARE NOT GREASY!! We love tacos al pastor, but they are often bathing in grease, which is actually just laziness on the cook's part...I know, because I make them at home, often. I usually don't like to order carryout tacos as a result, because they arrive home soggy and greasy...NOT the experience I've had at Cinco Hermanos! The tortillas rarely have any extra grease on them and the meat is the same. Any tacos I've ever ordered from them arrive home intact, non-soggy, and as delicious as if they were just prepared in my own kitchen!I also really enjoy their green salsa...it tastes like homemade. You can tell that they used fresh ingredients and that it was made in smaller batches. It's hard to explain, but trust me when I say it is one of the best green salsas I've ever had, including some homemade authentic versions. It's a little warmer than most, so be prepared for that, but it is crave-able!If you're looking for a stellar caldo de res, this is the place! Not only did it taste like the thousands of caldo's I've enjoyed in Mexican kitchens over my lifetime, it was served the way you'd be served in said kitchen...plenty of meat and veggies in that delicious broth! My typical experience ordering caldo to-go, is a container with a lot of broth, one or two small pieces of meat, one small carrot, more cabbage than anything, and half a potato...not even enough meat to make a decent taco to eat with the broth. I ordered this one weekend I was sick, and let me tell you, it hit ALL the right spots! Rich broth with an abundance of meat and veggies...exactly the way it would be served in my home kitchen. I was floored when I opened the container and saw it, and then more pleasantly surprised when I tasted it...perfection! Just know that it's only available on weekends and totally worth the wait! Oh, and one of my requests, LOTS of limes, was absolutely fulfilled, happily. Hats off to this place for great customer service!I've not had one thing on the menu that has displeased me, nor has my husband. Not one.Not only is the food delicious, the service is impeccable. I have certain requests when I order carryout, not excessive by any means, just certain things we prefer, like only green salsa and no plastic utensils necessary. At other places we've ordered, 8 out of 10 times, there's a bunch of red salsa in the bag - along with the green - and a bunch of plastic forks that end up in our garbage can. EVERY SINGLE TIME we order from Cinco Hermanos, the instructions are followed to a T, which tells me that they're good business people and not throwing their money in our garbage can. As a business person, I find that smart, admirable, and a likely indicator of how they run their business on every level. Here's a good "tell" if a Mexican restaurant “
“This restaurant is my favorite treat. The food is so flavorful, good portions, and has always arrived hot upon delivery. I love how there are so many different flavors between the dishes, so I can order a variety. One of my favorites is the butter chicken and dipping the naan bread into the sauce. Yum!!“
“So glad we found this place. Landed in Chicago from Hawaii and was greeted by snow all day. Looking for comfort food, we found this place. Wonderful staff and I believe he was the owner, made us feel so welcome. The ramen was great and so was the Thai food. Highly recommend. Much aloha to the staff there. The flower girls!“
“Only reason I don’t give it a 5 is because there has been a couple times where my order was supposed to be ready for take out and I had to wait 20 minutes for it. I come during my lunch hour so that’s a good half hour waisted because of the delay and then I just have 30 mins or less to shove the food basically. The workers seemed to be working pretty fast so I think it may be a short staffed issue.“
“I went to that restaurant with the hope of eating freshly cooked chicken with slices. But my surprise was that within 5 minutes of ordering the food they brought it. The chicken was fried as if it were from a day before. And the chicken with slices didn't even have a pickle. The truth was ugly ? ?“
“Stopped in today for a quick bite after work. Had the southwest chicken panini and it was delicious! I was in the mood for a sandwich but didn’t want to go to any of the national chains, tried Dario’s on a whim and I’ll definitely be back with friends and family to try. 10/10 place to get a delicious hot sandwich.“
“Great lunch options. There are plenty of things I still need to try, but I highly recommend. There are also good dinner options if you're feeling something lighter and fresh.Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian "chicken" alternative and the soups and bowls are also a great option.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian“
“We live in the NW suburbs. This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The pho has a heady aroma and other dishes I've had there were excellent. To get as good, you have to go into Chicago, and even there, few are any better.“
“Best cakes and soups I have ever had! Everything is made fresh and tastes delicious! John and Nana are friendly and work hard to cook wonderful soups and treats. I have brought cakes to work and parties and they are always tasty and fresh. Even the gluten free foods melt in your mouth. Give them a try you'll be happy you did!“
“Whoever invented the bread sticks at Olive Garden should be given a Michelin Star. It's as if they were created from the clouds up above and doused in buttery goodness. And the pasta? Delectable. Every bite is packed with rich flavor, warming your soul and packing on the pounds, before sending you into a deep food coma. 10/10 experience.“
“After 3pm on Monday through Wednesday I believe it is they have half of bagels. So we went and got bagels! The bagels here are decent and I like the cream cheese and tuna options. They sell Leonard's bakery goodies, mostly important the coffee cake. Yummmmmmm!!“
“The all-you-can-eat dinner is a good way to try many things on the menu. I have tried about ten different rolls over the years. My two favorite rolls are Black Dragon and Snow Mountain (see the attached picture). The Snow Mountain Roll is not on the all-you-can-eat menu. For some reason, the salmon tasted slightly fishy this time. One time we came as a large party and only two people wanted the all-you-can-eat option. We were told that everyone at the table needed to order all-you-can-eat. I can understand the reasoning for that.“
“Highly recommend their never ending soup, salad and breadsticks. All of their Alfredo’s. For their soups Chicken gnocchi soup, minestrone soup and Zuppa Toscana. My go to’a for their appetizers have to be shrimp scampi frittata, calamari and spinach artichoke dip. Their chicken parmigiana. For dessert’s tiramisu, cheesecake and warm Italian doughnuts!“
“I went here to do some personal work with my mom. We grabbed lunch and while it was a bit expensive. It was delicious, I love how they really made sure that my allergy was known to all staff and my food was carefully prepared. Will definitely return, the atmosphere is so calm great location off the highway.“
“Had an amazing experience at Zupas! The staff, especially Jenni, went above and beyond with their friendliness. The food not only matched its picture perfectly but tasted incredible—presentation and flavors both five-star quality. Even tried their seltzers, a fantastic choice for anyone looking to boost their protein intake in a delicious way. The bathrooms were super clean and very well-presentable, adding to the overall excellent visit. Plus, it’s located near lots of cool spots. A great place for healthy, protein-packed meals. Highly recommend!“
“Jazmine was absolutely excellent. She was kind, got our orders taken care of quickly, and just genuinely seemed like she enjoyed serving us. Out food came out very quickly and even with the 15 minute wait, we were in and out within an hour on a busy Saturday night.“
