“I went in the drive thru so I can't say anything about the atmosphere. What I can say is that Portillos always had good food; I get hot dogs w/ everything on them (no peppers) and cheese fries. The line moved pretty quick and the workers were friendly. I would go again“
“Really enjoy this restaurant, particularly their patio! I’ve actually never bothered dining inside. Love taking our dog out to dinner — it’s like her special occasion restaurant. Plenty of menu variety, even the pup meal includes a choice of chicken or burger, white or brown rice. My favorite dish is the Tex Mex salad. The outdoor atmosphere has great vibes… big fire pit in the middle, side ‘walls’ that roll down in the inclement weather, tvs showing the best sporting events.“
“I enjoy the salads and bowls here very much. The chocolate chip/oatmeal cookis are really good. I like the variety of the salads and bowls. The menu allows for a good amount of flexibility to your liking.The really only thing I dont like or I am not crazy about is the drink selections.Salads and bowls very good.The staff 90% of them are well trained and very nice.“
“Jazmine was absolutely excellent. She was kind, got our orders taken care of quickly, and just genuinely seemed like she enjoyed serving us. Out food came out very quickly and even with the 15 minute wait, we were in and out within an hour on a busy Saturday night.“

“One of the best places in the area to get a healthy bite to eat! I've seen managers at nearby stores take their employees to eat here as well, instead of staying at their own establishment! Definitely coming back when in the Vernon Hills area! We just had a Zupas open closer to me, so we go there now! This location is also great!“

“Been here multiple times and it is a great experience every time. They are so quick and the food is always so fresh. It is definitely one of my favorite counter-serve restaurants. They have some of the best dressings and meat choices, all for a very reasonable price.“
“I went there for the chicken breakfast biscuit but this time, I switch out the biscuit with a muffin! It’s so much better, more texture and the bread didn’t fall apart like the biscuit did! The staff is always so courteous and friendly and served with a smile!“
“First time at a new church today and I was invited to lunch by the pastor and several other people. It seems McAlister's is one of their go to places. It is a nice looking place with counter ordering and table service. They are apparently known for their sweet tea, which I passed on as I prefer unsweetened tea and not diabetes in a cup. The unsweetened tea was really good though. I had a spicy southwest chicken sandwich and a fruit cup side. It was a good choice as the sandwich was pretty tasty though nothing too special. It was good enough that I will gladly go back with this group from my new church it won't necessarily seek it out on my own as I tend to prefer locally owned smaller places. Still good though.“
