“Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Mufthi who took our order was very attentive and checked on us time to time. The place was well staffed and decorated. There is a small snack shop where we could buy prepackaged South Indian snacks like seedai, mullu murukku, pepper thatai, butter murukku, kai murukku etc. I will definitely stop by whenever I visit Chicago.“

“I'm a big believer of supporting restaurants. It's extremely hard work with minimal payout in most cases. However, writing a fair review is important as well so customers can benefit from it and hopefully, owners make changes to improve. With that said I rate this Restaurant a 4 instead of a 5. The reason I'm taking one star away is not for the food but for pricing. I will not come back with my family again as I don't see the value. Dishes are overpriced for the quantity you are receiving. We ordered the Kabab platter, butter chicken, kadai chicken and chicken tikka. Avoid the butter chicken completely, very heavy on the butter and dark meat used was of low quality. Rest of the dishes were good but as I said overpriced. I feel if the owners stop calling it "fine dining" and realign the prices they will attract more repeat customers. Otherwise most customer will be one and done. Not because of the food but because they don't see value in the overall experience.“

“Great customer service! The owner and his team go above and beyond with the quality of their food to servicing customers. The pani puri tastes like the ones you can find in the streets of India but better. I am a regular at this stall and I highly recommend their Nimbu soda, Pani Puri and Dehi Puri.Vegetarian options: Pani puri is an Indian snack that is completely vegan (contains no milk, or meat). The vegetarian option is the dehi puri which has yoghurt in it. The other options available are vegan as well as they have potatoes, peanuts, peas, chickpeas and wheat. The items are snacks and those with dietary restrictions should keep that in mind.“

“1st time ordering through Shef. Shef Robinson makes amazing home cooked Kerala dishes which are rare to find in usual Indian restaurants. The mutton pepper fry, beef fry, mutton briyani, mutton stew were all delicious. My toddler enjoyed the mutton stew with the iddiyappam too! Mom approved.“

“This was third time my son and I ate at the restaurant (once we carried out). We've never been disappointed.Tonight we tried the Pav bhaji dosa wrap and the sandwich masala dosa wrap. Each plate was hot and delicious. The crepes were perfectly cooked. The wraps were flavorful on their own but were also very tasty with the accompanying sambhar (spicy lentil-vegetable soup), coconut chutney (sauce), and tomato-onion-peanut chutney. The wrap plates are large and quite filling. Smaller people like my.wife would only eat half of the food.We decided to take home some of the wraps so that we could eat ice cream. Royal Delight (fruit and nuts) and creamy fig were great. This was my first fig ice cream and I'll definitely have it again. The restaurant had many other flavors too but we try to get a new flavor each time.Today, the TVs hosted a cricket match and subtitled movies. Music played softly in the background.“

“I just had lunch for the 2nd time here (Naperville) and it was great! It is a terrific casual restaurant, much like Chipotle, Subway, etc. where you select your options. I love Indian food and this did not disappoint. The menu is versatile and clever, and had options for my omni friend and vegan options for me. The owner was there today and was very engaging. They have four locations (so far), three in the city and one in Naperville. Look for more suburban locations to open. I highly recommend!“

“We've been out all day on Saturday and in need of supper, we wanted some hearty food and not just regular boring American food. We googled places near us and found this GEM, despite the 1st review we read that was bad we would like to give it a try anyway.Oh boy aren't we lucky! This is the first Indian restaurant that has a very authentic Hyderabadi Chiken Biryani cooked with ghee (to my taste).❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️We also ordered 2 parathas which was very buttery & good but not as flaky as I wanted it to be, but they have a good flavor. We've been on a hunt for a very good tasty Indian food that doesn't try to adjust their cooking to American taste buds and we are happy we finally found one! Their chicken Biryani is so flavorful & one of the side sauce (brown in color, don't know what it's called) is also very good.We can't wait to give the rest of the items on the menu a try, we definitely gonna go back soon!“

“First time trying this fast, casual Indian restaurant near our house. I was impressed with the decor and quite a few people on this Thursday evening. You order at a kiosk, but some of the menu items that were listed were not available so being a newer restaurant I believe they’re trying out popular items and limiting what’s not selling. They call your number when it’s ready to be picked up and they have a little mini chutney bar that has tasty pickled onions as well as a variety of sauces for your dishes. We enjoyed a Chole dish, a little bland for my taste, but it’s made in a variety of ways. We also tried garlic, naan, rice, butter, chicken, and some kebabs. As being very familiar with Indian food, I was pleasantly surprised how flavorful most of the dishes were.“

“Tandoori Wheels is phenomenal. I had the butter chicken yesterday and it was great! Although not the style I'm accustomed to (very creamy/thick red sauce and served over rice), the chicken was incredibly tender and the sauce was very flavorful and had a really nice kick to it! I can't wait to try other menu items from them!To Tandoori Wheels - please put a picnic table out front! It would be great to sit out and enjoy the weather while eating!Dietary restrictions: Plenty of dietary choices here.Parking: Zero concern about parking - huge lot.Wheelchair accessibility: In a pretty vacant parking lot - plenty of wheelchair access.“

“This review is specific to a delivery through DoorDash. Overall, I thought the quality and variety of food was pretty good (albeit limited on DoorDash relative to what I heard they have at the restaurant). The vegetable biryani was plentiful and had great flavor, and the variety bread option was nice for the assortment. We also really enjoyed the chickpea dish and saag dish, which both felt like homemade cuisine vs. very creamy, which I appreciated. Only reason for a 4 star rating is that expectations of quantity (relative to my family's dine in experience) did not match delivery. But otherwise, we'll be back!“

“WOW...the BEST!!! We've loved Saffron going back to the old location in Westmont days. Yesterday, I drove 40 minutes each way to pick up carryout. I am so happy to say that it was TOTALLY worth the drive!!! Everything was fantastic...from the dal makhani to the saag paneer! My only suggestion is to open up another location around Westmont. “We’ve eaten here twice now - once for a date night and one for family dinner. The menu is very deep and there were a lot of dishes that I hadn’t seen at other Indian restaurants - perhaps regional specialties - so I confess there was a lot of googling involved in ordering! For just the two of us, we wanted to try all new things - pani-puri, dosa masala, a veg delight curry, a goat roganjosh and a paneer Szechuan sizzler. The sizzler was underwhelming, honestly - mostly French fries, but everything else was delicious! With the family (8yo boy, 4yo girl - not culinarily adventurous at all, so we knew we were in for a rough time!) we played it safer. We got some kovas, a mild chicken korma, a spring dosa and lots of garlic naan, then as a concession to the kids, we got a cheese pizza. It had a slightly different sauce from traditional pizza, but didn’t seem to phase them at all. They reluctantly took nibbles of some of the other items - there was bribery involved, and it was hit or miss, but it was their first exposure to Indian food. I thought it was all delicious. (How can kids not like garlic naan?! I swear that was its own food group for me as a kid!)It gets busy with big family groups later than I would have expected, 8 or 9pm, so we had no trouble getting seated at 6:30 on a Saturday.Vegetarian options: Veg and non-veg sections are clearly labeled!Kid-friendliness: The environment is very kids friendly and there are lots of kids there even late in the evening. Families with picky eaters can fall back on the pizza, grilled cheese and fries. The waitstaff was happy to recommend mild dishes“
