“Best Slice of Your Life In Chicago. I was ecstatic when they opened a suburb location as I've tried the one in Chicago. They truly live up to the hype. Thin crust that holds up, no soggy crusts here. The dough is crisp then transforms into a cloudy chewy experience. They take their dough seriously and pride themselves in the process of making it which shines through when you take a bite. They have many options but our fave is hot honey pepperoni. Perfectly sweet n salty, a little spicy. The slices are thin but large so if you plan to try more than one flavor, come with a group and come hungry. They do however, offer slices before 4pm I believe. So if you really do want to sample many flavors, I recommend that. Their place is small but acommodates a decent amount of people. Their staff is always lovely. If you are not a fan of waiting, then of course avoid peak dinner hours on a weekend. Other than that, just get ready to have one of the best pizzas you've ever had.“

“Exceptional. Sicilian-Italian food like it was home made! The bruschetta was fresh and exciting. The bread was home made. I had tortellini, The Wife had gnocchi. We pretty much stumbled onto this place, looking for good Italian food in St Charles, and boy! What a great stumble!Small, no-frills. Just exceptional food.We will be back!“

“The food is really good. First visit had the Rocketman Pan Pizza. which is more like a thick flat bread. Very tasty. The Chorizo Stuffed Dates were amazing. Second visit tried the Nonna's Sunday Pie Pan Pizza, extremely spicy!!Cons:(1) Lack of Ice. You get No ice with your water and maybe 3 small cubes in your cocktail. We have learned the first thing we order is two tall glasses of ice to add to all our drinks.(2) Services is so so. You don't see your waiter much. After you order, someone else brings your food. Nobody ever checks on you after that!! So if you need another drink, napkin, silverware, anything . . good luck.We will give it one more try. If the service is not better then we won't be back. You can get good food a lot of places, so service is a MUST.“

“The food here is awesome, the service here is usually great. Tonight though, our server carleigh was exceptionally horrible. It started out fine even though I could easily tell she had been drinking for what seemed like the entire night based on the fact that when she was looking at you, she was moreso looking through you. That, and the fact that she had to pause every few seconds to remember what she was just saying. All of that taken into account, my partner and I laughed it off. When I noticed both serving plates on the table were dirty, I politely let her know “hey, I understand this happens, but these plates are dirty. Do you mind if we replace them?” ……she then proceeded to pick up the plates and say “how are they dirty”Hahahaha okayAfter that she probably saw our table two last times, one being for the check. She then proceeded to have us waiting for 6-7 minutes for her to come BACK and grab the card from us —so her busser had come by and done it for her. When she finally came to grab the check, she literally non-verbally signaled for the card with her hands in the air and finally goes “the card?”Look- if you’re going to drink on the job, make sure you’re a functioning, kind drunk.Pasta was great.“

“I have met most iterations of this restaurant in Burlington. Hands down, El Patron, to me, is the best version of this corner restaurant.A husband and wife team, that treat you like family when you come in.Their food is always fresh and hot, with consitant service with some handsone smiles and their food variety is great!Their burgers are juicy, the chorizo egg rolls are better than any Italian beef ones you'll find anywhere in the area. The pizzas are perfectly crispy and cheesy, and if you can handle the heat, their signature pizza the El Patron will add fire to your step!!Love, love, love them!“

“I met my parents here the other day as we both traveled some distance to meet up. This restaurant was absolutely wonderful atmosphere, small & quiet when we were there. I believe we had their lunch menu, and I ordered the Capellini pasta, my dad got Eggplant Parmesan, and my mom got the Italian Beef. Unfortunately I would suggest the entire staff of the restaurant needs to eat that same sandwich my mom ordered. She said it was dry & had no flavor, as if they boiled the fatty meat in plain water and threw it onto a crispy piece of bread. Thankfully she said something(my mom has never sent food back my entire life and I’m in my 20’s she’s in her 60’s) so for her to ask it to be removed from the bill just shows how gross it was.Our server was WONDERFUL, and of course she took it off the bill, and encouraged my mom to order another dish. She settled on the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. She was throughly pleased with that dish, so it all ended well. The restaurant seemed cleaned and well managed other than maybe their Italian beef haha.Advice for future customers, don’t order their beef unless they change their recipe.Advice for the restaurant, PLEASE have a tasting going on for your staff members. The person who creates/created the recipes and cooks them needs to allow constructive criticism/feedback on their dishes. It really helps your staff;A) know your food betterB) allows for more ideas to help your kitchen/staff blossomWould definitely come back here again due to the wonderful service and delicious pasta!“

“First impressions are important when dining. It was our first visit to Windmill Grille. We started with some onion rings and ordered the filet medallions and bourbon pork chops. The meals came with homemade bread that was absolutely delightful! Our server was very good. He told us about the made from scratch food, and was very accommodating. The steak was prepared correctly. I would have liked a little more flavor in the demi glaze, but that is perhaps my personal preference. The bourbon sauce on the pork chops was delicious! It was Sunday afternoon. There were some patrons dining on a nice patio and a few inside. The inside was bright and tastefully decorated. We will definitely return. I would like to try a pasta entree and their pizza in the future!“

“Small pocket of deliciousness brought to you by genuine Italian family with friends. The delicate taste of caprese with homemade bread was scrumptious. Fried & baked panzerotti:The bread was soft, the cheese was ooey gooey & the tomato sauce was fresh and earthly. None of that canned salty sauce. Definitely must try more when we visit again. Forgot to take picture of the shrimp & broccoli linguine but also light & flavorful. You must try“

“I have been here twice. 1st time I had the burger and it was very good. This time I had the cheesy beef with a side of giardiniera, au jus for dipping, marinara and a small fry. The beef is definitely home made and probably on of the most tender beefs I've ever had, great flavor, just awesome! The Giardiniera is home made and has the perfect amount of heat, marinara sauce is very good too. The fries are fresh cut and also very good. Don't let the look on the outside fool you. It's not your average fast food place. It's way above that. I will be back to try other menu items.“

“I've always been a fan of deep-dish pizza, having grown up in the Midwest, but now having lived in the south for decades. Life has brought me back to the Midwest, and to the mecca of deep-dish pizza, Chicagoland. So of course in the first few days of moving into the Geneva, IL area, I had to find pizza. Deep-dish pizza. Piled high with meat and cheese, weighing a pound per slice, forced to eat it with a fork. They do call it a "pie" after all, and I've never tried to "fold" or eat any other pie with my fingers...so why should a "pizza pie" be any different??? Yelp sent me to Charlie Fox's as a close-by option, and it didn't disappoint. Ordering over the phone I told the employee I wanted "deep-dish" and he said, "You know we do 'pan' pizza. Is that going to be okay?" After confirming it would still be an inch think, I doubled-up on both the meat and cheese. I was told 30 minutes. I arrived just a couple of minutes early, so the wait was minimal. These things can't be rushed, after all. In the meantime I looked around the small, unassuming shop. Just a couple of tables, but the two guys working behind the counter were friendly and helpful. I was told to make sure to hold on to the coupons that came with my pie, and when I told the man working the counter that I had just moved into the area and it was my first time there, he made sure my order was right. Even another customer, watching them cut and box my order said, "Wow...that looks good." I wasn't disappointed. Hot, with gooey delicious mozzarella clinging to every slice, the dough cooked just perfectly chewy, my partner and I gobbled down multiple slices. I'll definitely be going back. The service and food were both top notch, served out of a basic but clean shopfront! Five stars!!!“

“I cannot rate the atmosphere, because we ordered for delivery. We ordered a 16 inch, thin crust pie for dinner. The estimated time was 45-60 minutes, but it arrived in 25. It was hot and delicious, and we will order again.Parking: If it's busy, you are going to have to walk a bit from your car, unless you are just picking up your order. Most people just pull up to the curb for that and run in. I always park, so I am out of the way, and at dinner time I have to park in the lot across from the building.“

“Recently moved to North Aurora and we were looking for some pizza this past Saturday night. Decided to try Mario's. Used the Slice app on my phone. Got there on time for pick up but they were super busy and had to wait a bit. Manager / owner came out and apolgized for the delay and offered free water or pop. I Politely declined and continued to wait. A few minutes later the same gentleman came all the way out to the front with 2 boxes. He said there was some sort of glitch with the app and said it ordered twice but I was only charged for one! I said are you sure? He said yes please take them and thanked me again for my patience. The pizza was still steaming hot when we got back to the apartment, and it was really very good! Will defininately be going back to Mario's!“

“This was our first visit to this charming Italian restaurant situated in downtown St. Charles. Our waiter, Abraham, provided excellent and warm service. The restaurant possesses a pleasant ambiance and is meticulously clean. I opted for white sangrias along with the cozze Alla marinara and cozze gratinate. My husband ordered the grilled calamari and Linguine Adriatico Fruti Di Mare accompanied by a red sangria. This establishment truly impressed us with its exceptional and delightful choices. We highly recommend this place and will undoubtedly return in the future!“

“As soon as I walked in, I knew that I was going to have an amazing experience. I was greeted by an extremely friendly employee. It was really nice to have someone acknowledge you and you can do the same. Without judgement. It was around 1:30 pm and there wasn't a line to order. I like things a certain way. I was lucky enough to have a young lady take my order. As we walked through the art of making my pizza, she would ask me if she was doing it right and if there was anything I wanted to add at that point. We had a great level of teamwork going. I knew that my pizza was going to turn out great. I chose the regular full size crust, Alfredo sauce, chicken breast, diced tomatoes, garlic and artichoke. I prefer my pizza to be cooked on the lighter side. I don't like a brown or burnt crust. I definitely don't like burnt cheese. My pizza was cooked to perfection. I sprinkled some Parmesan cheese on top. I really had to let it cool down otherwise I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. BRB I have to be brutally honest, We made a great team and we made an incredibly delicious pizza. I was only able to eat 1 1/2 pieces and I was going to roll out the door. At least I'll have leftovers to go with the leftovers that I'll have from Easter. What I really love the most about Mod pizza is that you can always switch things up a bit. It's not the same as traditional pizza establishments. But it does offer a variety of options that a traditional one doesn't have. Each one is a win-win for all involved. For me, it's all about taste and service. I appreciate the options for being able to choose your own toppings and how much you want of them. My pizza was absolutely delicious. All of the toppings that I chose blended together perfectly. The cheese melted adhering to the artichokes which is my favorite topping of all of them. The crust was cooked just like I asked. No dark or burnt pieces. I did have to use a knife and fork to eat it. Otherwise I'd be wearing it. I had a lot of leftovers, I'm definitely going to raid the fridge for a midnight snack. Mod pizza is worth every single solitary penny in circulation. Make sure that you sign up for the rewards on their website BEFORE you go!!“

“I was there last night for the first time for a birthday party. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. Oh, and if you like carrot cake or cheese cake, (I’m sure all the desserts are just as delicious) save room for dessert! I will definitely be coming back.“

“Went here for the first time on Thursday evening to pick our super bowl pool numbers. The bartender seemed young in a bit of an experience, but together with a little input he whipped together. Pretty darn good Manhattan then we had him do a specialty drink that we call the CrumperNickel, which was invented concoction of my son Mikey's.It's in a beautiful section of downtown right across from the old theater just east of the river. Beautiful building. Great atmosphere. We had real good company there too that helped. The boys running the pool watch some pizzas. They were pretty darn good. Nice thin crust. Good sauce. Very tasty.Whole spread was well set up.Enjoyable evening. Look forward to going back sometime Soon.....“

“Drive through for lunch. Food was good, got the beef and Italian sausage combo. Making an Italian beef is an art form, Getting the proper meat to juice ratio in the bun is key. Halfway through the sandwich, it fell apart. Didn't affect the flavor, just made for a mess in my lap.“

“Should have posted this when it happened several years ago but still a fun story: my best friend had never experienced Aurelio’s or any Chicagoland pizza before and so one day several years ago, we ordered some online. Because I was a teenager, in the special instructions box I wrote “please draw a shark”. I’d done stuff like this before and was happy with little drawings on the box or whatever. When I brought the pizza to his house and cracked it open, this BEAUT had me and my buddy snickering the whole night. It’s now a staple memory of “remember the shark pizza?”Whoever went the extra mile to draw a shark on our pizza with sauce, you are a legend. God keep this Aurelios.“

“Fun games! Gotta try the Terminator game. It's straight out of the nineties! There's also a Batmobile game and all kinds of other stuff! They used to actually have better games though. Even got rid of the animatronics! Replaced them with videos of mechanical puppets! Bad show! Still had fun though. Especially my nephew! Adults had as much fun as the kids honestly! Pizzas different. Changed from hand tossed to thin crust. Still warm and tasty though. Got a meal for six, including a warm brownie and drinks. They have unlimited game cards and bracelets! My nephew had unicorn churros and dot ice cream! He was really happy! Buffalo wings were nice and it was under $100.00 for six people. They even have military discounts which cuts the price in half!“

“First time trying this pizza... Not disappointed! Ordered an XL thin crust half adult and half kid-friendly pizza and it was really good. Loved the sauce and the toppings all tasted really fresh. We ordered the fried mushrooms and they were cold (which is why the 4 stars). But we popped them in the air fryer for a few minutes and they were just fine. The ranch that came with it was pretty good too. Overall price was great for the quality of pizza. I looked up the special schedule and we'll definitely try the double dough or pan pizza next time. Seems like they definitely do pizza right but maybe not some other things..? Might try a pasta dish next time and update my review. My BF grabbed a couple brownies when he picked it up and they were SO YUMMY! Super gooey but also very very sweet. I love that texture of brownie but I just can't eat that much sugar - one bite was definitely enough for me to enjoy the flavor of it haha. My kiddos and BF enjoyed it all though! We'll be back since it's so close and a great price for good pizza.“

“As a lifelong "Chicagoan", I take my pizza seriously. I don't use the word "love" lightly so when I say, my family and I "love" WCP's thin crust pizza, you can take that to mean their pizza is a superior product in taste, appearance and the quality of its ingredients. When, in an attempt to save money, others are cutting back on the quality and quantity of their ingredients, WCP is uncompromising! They've always been generous with their ingredients, their cheese in particular, but now in our current economy, their superiority sets a new bar. Of their 3 locations, Elgin is closest to me and is the only location I've ever ordered from. Since I've only ordered my pizza for delivery, I can't speak to the ambiance of the dine in experience but what I can tell you is this, from the phone order to delivery, the Elgin staff has always been polite, respectful and friendly. They've NEVER screwed up my order, forgotten a coupon discount or been late with a delivery. They are honest and accurate when they quote the estimated time for delivery and my pizza always arrives hot. WCP has a loyal customer in me!“

“One of the best places within 10 miles of me when it comes to Deep Dish pizza. They only do carry out and delivery only, which is not bad but it is important to note that this isn't like some of their dine in restaurants.Very friendly staff, easy to place an order, and some of the best pizza sauce I've ever tasted. And as someone who takes medicine for my stomach issues, their pizza is both delicious and not too greasy, so people with weaker stomachs like me can still enjoy their food without feeling sick later that night.Vegetarian options: Salads are a great option here for vegetarians. As well as just getting a cheese only Deep Dish.Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free options for bith the deep dish and thin crust pizzas. They also offer 'crustless' pizza if you are on a low carb diet.Parking: Limited number of parking spots due to being adjacent to other restaurants and a Chase bank. That said, they ONLY do Carry Out and Delivery so this is not a big deal.“
“Pizza LOOKS fantastic. We had pesto chicken and was a bit underwhelmed by bland chicken, but will go back to try a different kind. All handmade and you can watch them load 'em up.This Pizza spot shares it's premises with two other 'storefront' restaurants. 'That Burger Joint' & 'Oberweis ice cream'. Great concept as you may be able to please more people in your group. Even if it's a tiny group, tastes can vary a lot. Boasts one large dining area with tall ceiling and windows. We conveniently ordered a sampling from all 3 at one register.“
