“Love this deli so much I happily drive from Oak Lawn to get there. The Primo panini is my favorite but they are all top tier. Their canoli are quite possibly the best I have ever had. I buy two of their easter pies every year and my family goes nuts for them. If you haven't stopped in you are missing out big time. The staff is very friendly and warm like being around family.Parking: Free parking up and down the block both sides of the street“
“Traveling to Chicago and searched for a highly rated sandwich shop to try. This place did not disappoint. Easily one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come back when I’m back in town.“
“Had a phenomenal time talking and eating at this wonderful deli!! Extremely kind people!! The food was amazing. I had the double turkey and cheddar on a fresh Kaiser roll and chicken and dumpling soup. Great drink selection. They have Hungarian delicacies also.“
“If they joined the 21st century and had online ordering, I would order more often and give Shannon's a fifth star. Others say the same. I dont have time to wait while they make the food. Do they do curbside? The Boar's Head roast beef is very tasty. The sides are amazing.✌️“
“Co-workers wanted to meet up for lunch and I am so glad they choose this place. They have some table and chairs inside, but it can be a tight fit during the lunch rush. The employees are helpful, and the place looked very clean. The menu has a lot of options, and I was happily surprised they have gluten free bread which was the best gluten free bread I have ever had a sandwich on. The contents on the sandwich were flavorful and you could tell they were fresh. It came with a side salad which had a great dressing on it. Overall, the meal was worth the price, and I would recommend trying them out yourself. I did spot a homemade galeto selection, but didn't indulge on this first trip, but I may need to check that out and report back in the future.“
“Went in for lunch and had a polish sausage with caramelized onions, breaded pork chop, pierogis, and meat & mushroom sauerkraut. The sauerkraut and pierogis were divine. The sauerkraut is savory and bursting with flavor. Pierogis are a tradition in my family and these pierogis were great. They have a nice frozen variety of pierogis if you want to take some home. My girlfriend had the stuffed cabbage and she thought it was great. Will definitely be back for their fresh bread, pierogis and to try more delicious Polish food. Service was excellent, the place was run by 3 lovely Polish ladies. An older gentleman sat next to us and had gotten some cabbage soup that looked delicious. I'd love to try more of their food.Vegetarian options: There are some great cabbage dishes and other things just ask the nice ladies to point out the vegetarian dishes.Parking: It's a strip mall so tons of parking.Kid-friendliness: Lots of sweets for kids, employees seemed like wonderful middle aged women they are probably mothers themselves.“
“Obsessed with this place. Friendly, fresh deli. Aside from the deli, the products are overwhelmingly authentic. Prices are inexpensive for what you're getting.Love love love. My in-laws are amazed at the authenticity and how amazing the food is. ?“
“We were really excited to try this deli shoppe since we love subs. Maybe the hype just set the standards of this place too high for us, but it was just average. If I'm being honest, it's not worth the price of a sandwich as I barely had any indregients in between ny bread. This won't deter me from trying something else from here, maybe one of their pasta salads, as a small business I want to be supportive but I don't think I'll come back for their hoagies.“
“Was on the hunt for decent bagels in the suburbs since going into the city for a bagel is not always ideal. I stumbled upon this place and am so happy I found it! No, the bagels are not a replica of a NYC bagel but for conveniently being in the suburbs, I'm not mad at it. I loved it actually. I am speaking of their bagels as an individual and not comparing it to others. With that in mind, I would give them an 8/10. Their staff is always so warm, welcoming and cheerful. They do have a drive thru which is great. Yes the wait may be long for a drive thru but keep in mind it's made to order so I don't really mind that. I've tried several bagels from here including blueberry, chocolate chip, cinnamon raisin (my fave), onion bagel with Lox cream cheese, everything bagel and a bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel. It hits every time and has yet to disappoint me. This place is easy and has become a new weekend morning go to for me.“
“I love this place. My dad is German and we love European snacks. They have turkish delight , they have Kvass, they have the Nicolas the 2nd tea. It's like a mix of European goods. Honest this little place is a hidden gem. Also they have European style meats. It really is amazing.“
“Love this place!! So many wonderful soups, salads and sandwiches for a sit down lunch, and then frozen meals to take home. Try the iced tea! It doesn't need any fixings because it's delicious as it is. Its interior is bright and cheerful. Friendly service! Lots of gluten free and vegetarian selections!“
“They have a lot of European honeys smoked fish breads Etc they have Organics and none Organics great smoked sausages and many other styles of meats and cold cuts do not think they make sandwiches but you can ask I've always just ordered and “
“Great lunch spot in downtown Wheaton for a quick bite. The sandwiches are a very good and generous sized. I really like the grinders and panini when I want a hot sandwich. Great service & staff! There is outdoor seating so we can bring our dog when the weather is nice. It can get crowded on weekends around lunchtime, especially in the warmer months.Parking: Plenty of street parking is available if you can find a spot. During busy times in Wheaton, I recommend the free parking garage, it is centrally located and only minutes walk to any of the attractions. It is maybe a 2 minute walk to the deli.Kid-friendliness: Kids love eating here! Lots of families visit Shane's because of the very kid friendly menu.“
“Great service, I have been in this store several times in the past 60 days, did an order for 15 people, on one trip and they have every sandwich and order correct, with individual names on the wrapper of each sandwich. Again excellent service and the times I went in for lunch everything was very good.“
“A good place to get a sandwich, great food, but the last time I came in their employee Marisol had visible scabs leaking and oozing through her long sleeve shirt, and she handled the food at one point. I just found it unsanitary, the smell coming from her arms left me with an uneasy feeling, but the food was still good nonetheless and everyone but her seemed fine.“
“After Vesecky (bakery) in Berwyn closed several months ago, preceeded by the loss of Bohemian Crystal (restaurant) about a year earlier; we thought it was no longer worth the 3+ hr drive up to the Chicago suburbs to satisfy our Czech food cravings. We were wrong; as finding this little gem was such a fortunate happenstance. The cream of mushroom soap is wonderful, the breaded pork tenderloin excellent, the strudel addictive, the kolacky tasty, etc etc etc... And; they have jaternice, cream sausage, head cheese, etc. all of which is virtually non-existent in mid-north Indiana. This is the type of east-European ethnic deli/eatery that is becoming harder and harder to find; thank goodness we spotted it. If one enjoys Czech cuisine, this is a "must" visit.“
“For the first time I had a great experience at the deli last night at this Jewels. A nice young man assist me and his customer service was very nice. He greet me and I conversated as he packed my choice of honey wings and potato wedges. The rest of the people I’ve encountered in the past can learn something about customer service from this young man. Period!“
“My food was fye. Everything was hot and my shake was mixed with pineapple and strawberry (which I included in the notes and they actually read it and did it it's a lot of places that don't). Gyro cheeseburger has always been my go to.“
“I will always shop here when I am in the area. Support your local Lithuanian businesses as much as possible. Fresh food in the deli, affordable as well. Lots of imported products to choose from along with some Belarusian, Polish, Russian, Latvian and Estonian products that are very hard to find elsewhere. Tegyvuoja Lietuva ??“
“Hard to find place. Visible from the side road. Deli inside office bldg. Parking either in back( bit of a walk) or in west side lot. ( bit of a walk) Theres a small parking area out front of bldg, maybe 5 cars , not much. This is not the Deli's fault. Place can get crowded. Food and service are Tops! They have daily & weekly specials, which aren't always on the menu. I had the Hot pastrami sub. Which was excellent, nice and warm, accompaniments inside the sandwich were fresh, especially the bread. My dining companion had the Falafel sandwich which she throughly enjoyed. Place is kept clean. Decent amt of tables as well. They have a glass garage type door which was closed since its November even though it was almost 60 degrees. I bet its nice out there on their patio in the spring and summer. Great views, looks relaxing. Owner was very pleasant, I mentioned the bread, which was Turano baking co. He said hes old friends with them. I have a relative working for them. Owner was a nice guy. Bathrooms are down the way in part of the office bldg. The experience was nice. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of food you're getting.Ill be back. Worth the trouble of stopping at.“
