The restaurant was full/noisy and the host did his best to accommodate us with a quiet location, a request we made through the app because of the hearing disability of my husband who is a Vietnam Veteran. The volume of the restaurant was still too loud for him: even with hearing aids conversing across a table that could have accommodated eight when we turned out to be only five was challenging, but the window location was the best option and we appreciated that the host did his best. I'm pointing out this situation because it is difficult to find a restaurant that ticks all the boxes: good food, good value, and good conversational ambience. Surely it is a plus that Neat did their best.“

A gentleman even came around with a beer tasting! The food was all delicious, we tried the cauliflower bites app, salad with goat cheese and brisket grilled cheese. Everything was so good! “Unfortunately, the evening did not start off well. We were told that we had to wait for our reservation for atleast 10-15 min after our original time, even though we showed up early. Then after waiting, we were told another 15 min. Noticed that they seated other groups that were walk ins so I guess they were given priority. We had two young children who were starving so we decided to leave and just as we did, the manager came running after us and asked us to stay. They turned around a table and even through a pizza in the oven for the kids, no charge. The food was good, not great. “This place is truly a hidden gem. We were recommended to check this spot out by a local bartender, and we are so glad we did! The ambiance was really chill and non pretentious. Our mixologist, David, was super personable and well versed in his craft. He’s bringing experience from cocktail programs in the city to the burbs! For lunch I feel it’s a moderately good deal but for dinner I was a little surprised at the portion size compared to the price, we did enjoy all of our dishes but having a hard time with the value. The charred cauliflower appetizer was tasty but small portion for over $12. The lasagna Bolognese made with a chicken sausage was equivalent of two large raviolis stacked on top of each other. For $20 I would expect a bigger portion. Overall a higher rating due to the ambience of the restaurant and service was good.“

“I work around the corner from here and found it by chance. I will say I will be back. I called to find out where they were located and Cindy explained exactly how to find her place. My coworker and I went to go check out the restaurant and Cindy and a gentleman greeted us as we walked in. Even asked if we had just called. This to me is how you treat your customers. As my coworker and I waited for our breakfast burritos the smell of the restaurant was amazing. Cindy also chatted the whole time we waited and explained how she preps and what all goes into their fresh food. Cindy is caring and very passionate about her food and customer service. “Stella's is a DANG GOOD restaurant. While it is located inside of Fox Bowl, this is NOT a bowling alley snack bar. Their pizza is FANTASTIC, as are the mac'n cheese bites, and cheesy beef sandwiches. “I went to this place with my family. The burgers were great and the fries were good too. The burgers are easy to bite into and have a good size. The service was great because all toppings were free and extra straws were provided. The ambiance of the place works well because they play nice music outside and it has an older feel to it even though you order outside the place and eat outside because they do not have an eating area. Though the food was a little bit expensive, it's definitely a good place to go to every so often.“
“Found out about this brewery in Westmont and came to try a few beers. It's in a pretty hard to find location in some industrial area, the worst thing about it. Whiskey Hill is a funny name, as this place has beer, not whiskey. Oh well, what they have is still good. There's a pretty good selection including some hoppy and sours. A lot of breweries are in kind of strange areas. It's the case with this one. This is located on Vandustrial in a building it share with some offices and whatever. Lots of trucking companies around here. There's semis parked along the street. Anyway, the beers. It's about $6 a pour. It's not quite a pint but whatever. Even so, a pretty good price for a small brewery. Has many to choose from. Best was the 7 Mile Bridge. It's a Belgian Weisse with key lime, toasted coconut, and vanilla. A lot of lime flavor. This is almost like a sour to be honest. A pretty strong one at 7% ABV. There's not a whole lot on tap, but they manage to have quite a bit for a microbrewery to be honest. Get some beers on tap or take some of the cans to go. It's a small place but when it's warmer they have a patio. There's no food but sometimes there's food trucks.“
