“So, my good buddy, Johnny, aka Johnny bag of donuts was all like flipping out about this place telling me I need to try it out and that it's totally fantastic, great place to take the kids and omg they have THE BEST ONION RINGS.That was the first red flag. Who raves about onion rings anyway? Raving about an onion ring is like raving about pump number nine at the Mobile on Ogden and being like oh my gosh pump number nine. It's the smoothest pump at the gas station. It's incredible. You've got to try pump number 9. You've got to try it. It's the best pump in the gas station.Ok pal, calm down.Any sane human is thinking yeah it's a gas pump and a gas pump is a gas pump and they all pump gas. If you've pumped gas on pump 1 or pump 2, it's the same as pump 9 or even pump 8. Pump 8 doesn't get enough love. But no, John went on raving about these onion rings like there were some mythological creature. A unicorn onion ring only available at 302 South in Wheaton and it's the greatest onion ring your legal tender for all that's public and private possibly purchase. So I caved. We went there to try the mythical onion ring. And my thoughts?Well let me tell you this onion ring is a cut above the rest. This onion ring was superlative. This onion ring could quite possibly bring world Peace. This onion ring was yummy.Never mind the fact that the food is yummy and affordable.Ignore the fact that it is centrally located in a lovely shopping area.Ignore the fact that the staff is friendly and kind and attentive.Ignore the fact that they have a lovely outdoor seating. And by all means, definitely ignore the fact that they have a wonderful beer selection, you most certainly want to ignore that wonderful, wonderful fact. At the end of the day, nothing else matters but how the onion ring performs. All of these high praise are nothing because the onion ring is superlative.Come for the onion ring.Eat the onion ring.Savor the onion ring.Be the onion ring.“
“Food is consistently good. Love the toasted pork belly and cheese sammich and tomato soup for dipping. One comment is that I love the music at lunch. It's classic rock mostly, right up my alley, and not played so loud you can't talk to the people at your table. For dinner, my wife and I are hesitant, because depending on who is controlling the music, it can be very loud and very annoying and repetitive music. I can handle most music but not so loud I can't talk to the people at my table. Otherwise this is a great place for me - close to home, with very good beer and food.“
“This has been my go to place since they opened. Mary and her team are the best! Very knowledgeable and down to earth. They always have a great selection and the pricing is good for the beers they sell. Come check them out if you haven’t already!“
“I love the atmosphere here! Very industrial, loft vibes are nice. Menu is very good. I would say the menu is very diverse and reminds me of a fusion restaurant. Great drinks( I had the passion fruit margarita) and so are rhe buugers! Nomi provided excellent service!“
“We stopped in on a Friday afternoon, curious about 206. The reviews are true, it’s a little gem. Very nice range of beers and ciders for all tastes. The service was excellent. Informative and friendly. One of us enjoyed the milder beers, a lager and a wheat, while the other went for the hoppy varieties.“
“Delicious food: huge patty melt came with pasta salad also delicious! We also got an order of chicken fingers and they were sooo good! They were beer battered and the coleslaw was very good. Hubby walked in to place an order the place was super packed nowhere to sit. Bartender was quick to help place our order to go. Will definitely be back.“
“I had a wonderful time with my beloved cousins. The service was great and they treat you like you are their family and are just so enthusiastic. At one point there was a spontaneous spot of Greek singing with me and my cousins joining in with our server Pete!!Food was delicious, we had so many dishes which we shared in the traditional way we Greeks do and then we also had our main dish bit by then we most of us were pretty full so we took them home for later ( which my daughter enjoyed my dolmades)Love Greek Islands, hope we go again soon!!“
“I've come here a few times. This brewery is a little tricky to find since it's located by warehouses. They have a pretty cool logo and the name is super interesting with a backstory. I liked certain beers over others; but the nice thing is they have lots of options. You could bring food and they have games like darts, board games and card games and shuffle board. And best part.... It's dog friendly! Just careful because it gets crowded and it's not really big“
“Noon Whistle has always been a cool spot with some great beers, but they recently also launched a new food menu. Of course we had to try the pizza and it was so fricken good. We were there yesterday for lunch and I’m about ready to brave the -30 degree temps to go eat the same lunch again. You have to check it out.“
“Always easy-going bartenders with lots of local craft beers on tap, plus a good selection of bottle and cans. Ciders and NA beers as well. Bartenders will give you a taster before you buy a 5 or 12 oz pour. Customers friendly too, sit right at the bar or outside at tables under umbrellas and strike up a conversation. Board games are available inside. Seen beer drinking parents bring their little kids sometimes. You can bring your well-mannered dog inside too.“
“Had a great time here, the food was great, service was excellent, and definitely a good food category that is barely touched south of the WI/IL border. Worth a return trip and will be back as long as the beer selection is maintained and the kitchen quality remains steady to what we had. Excellent choice considering the location and ease of hitting craft breweries afterwards.“
“One of my very favorite places to go for any meal, lunch or dinner. It's also my kids favorite place to go for any meal, lunch or dinner. Everything I get here is tasty. Well prepared. The service is great. The drinks are always good and the beer is cold. They have a very good atmosphere and a very pleasant wait staff.“
“We had our wedding reception in the Barrel Room at the Downers Grove location in September. Lisa was amazing to work with from start to finish! She was responsive to my hundreds of emails (almost not kidding) and always available when I would reach out to look at the space. She helped me work out my vision for the space, was present during our rehearsal to make sure the initial setup was what I wanted and then was around the entire day of our wedding to make sure things went smoothly. We loved Alter before our wedding, but she and the staff are definitely a reason we will keep coming back and recommending events being held there! Also, not to leave out how awesome the beer is.“
“A new favorite! THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!! The atmosphere is very chill and the service is good. the blonde bartender is the best (No names) The only reason I did not give Service and Atmosphere 5 stars is because there were a couple of instances where we walked in and were not greeted by anyone. The bar had not been cleaned from previous customers (empty drinks, dirty glasses, and food crumbs) and there was no clean spot to sit. We stood there for almost 5 minutes, watching the bartender talk to some guy at the corner end of the bar. She never even looked up for us to get her attention. Other than those couple of times, it’s been great! We also love to play the machines when we go there ?“
“Their food is excellent! We had the best waitress, Layah! The only thing I do say is maybe turn the music down just a tad because it was hard to have conversations with the people we had at our tables. Other than that awesome place to eat great family time. The atmosphere is great and the food especially is wonderful Definitely recommend“
“Starting with the potato leek soup, wow, the smoke flavor in this soup really elevated it to a new level. Then the burnt ends served over BBQ potato chips, it was a double good combination. (Pro tip: the chips that soak up the burnt ends drippings are dynamite. Finished of the night with the cowboy Reuben... Seriously good “
“I loved everything about Bev's - most importantly the food was incredible and inventive. Our server made several spot on recommendations and was the right amount of present at the table. The music/space wasn't too loud, so it was easy to converse without shouting. The women's restroom was clean. I'll definitely be coming back to Bev's and recommending it wholeheartedly.“
“Had a coworker's retire party here. We had finger food and drinks. The area was roped off. Only minor issue was the roped area was across from the bar and didn't allow for much movement around the tables or to easily get at the food area. The Left Hand Milk Stout was great. The selection of beers is wonderful (see photo). Located on the first floor. Handicap parking accessible.Parking: Handicap parking available.Wheelchair accessibility: The front door is not handicapped accessible. For how packed the place was when we were there, I think getting about in a wheelchair would be difficult but not impossible.“
“I frequent the Shoeless Joes Addison location for lunch, work related events, and most recently a family celebration. Few things, I have never had anything on the menu that isn’t amazing. The staff delivers quality service in a timely manner. They’re easy to plan events with and go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need to entertain your guests stress free. The party room is great for private corporate meetings or special family events - The AV is FANTASTIC. Finally, the outdoor space is clutch. Great space. Great people!“
“Our good friends invited us out for our second experience with them at the Tapville Social in Naperville and once again they didn’t disappoint.I ordered the margarita ? flight and each glass was cold refreshing and delicious. Our server Josh was very attentive always making sure ? we had everything we needed. The savory chicken wings were mouth watering and scrumptious. The sauce was definitely savory and there was a good amount of meat on each wing’s.The beer ? batter pickled chips were phenomenal however the ranch was very liquidy. The burger was astounding and I am very appreciative over a good veggie burger. The French fries were really crispy. Perfect along side a good burger. Even though I couldn’t finish my meal the burger was still delicious later that evening!I am looking forward in coming back to try their other items. Thank you to the staff of Tapville in Naperville. You will definitely have a good time and remember your experience at this fine establishment.Parking: During our visit there was traffic construction ?. It was a challenge to find parking ?️ however we managed the short walk.“
“Picked up food to go for the grandkids. Kid's burgers, fries, fruit and beverage along with a Baked Pretzel. All items were well prepared and were ready ahead of expected time.Kid-friendliness: Kid's meal, freshly prepared with fries, mandarin orange segments.“
