“I don't think there is a way to overrate this cafe! No matter when you visit you are going to receive amazing service and even better coffee and scones. I am completely addicted to the Cinnamon Roll Scones but they are all amazing. Definitely a hidden gem in Winfield!!“

“I saw the bakery sign and quickly parked the car. Upon entering, I saw that the bakery cases mainly held cookies, bars, and cupcakes. Not a huge variety, and more specialized with huge sandwiched cookies, macarons, large bar cookies. I opted for a Raspberry crumb bar and a chocolate cherry macaron decorated to look like Santa's belly. The bar cookie was huge; about 4" x 5". It had a deliciously crisp base, and you could taste the butter. It was filled with a thin layer of jam and a lovely crumb topping.The macaron was another story. The cookie itself was great. Light, airy, and crisp. The filling, however, tasted like white wedding cake frosting. It totally overpowered the macaron base. Made my teeth hurt. Total regret.I'd be interested in trying the cupcakes.“

“They close at 2:00. I pulled into the parking lot at 1:40 considering do I really want to be that person that walks in ordering a last minute sandwich? I saw two customers come out so I went in to go ahead and try. Staff was very friendly and made me 2 delicious sandwiches to go. Good bagels, good sandwiches. I'll be back. And they have alfalfa sprouts! Absolutely the best sandwich addition.“

“I tried this place based on the recommendation of a friend who said that these are his favorite donuts. The donuts and pastries were very good. We ordered 14 separate things to sample and all were good..In addition, the ladies working were very helpful and friendly. “We came here to warm up and get a midday snack since we were in the area. We came an hour before closing and there were still plenty of baked goods available. There was also plenty of seating and it was clean inside. I had a blackberry brownie and a blueberry basil matcha latte. I typically dislike sweet drinks so I was hesitant to order the latte. However, it wasn't overly sweet and the flavor was interesting (in a good way). The blackberry brownie was rich and also delicious. My child had a big chocolate chip cookie and devoured it instantly. I wish we came for lunch since there were intriguing menu items but we will be back if we are in the area!“

“DeEtta’s recently did my wedding cake and sweets for my bridal shower! Wedding cake has a bad reputation… I’ve had plenty that are dry and lack flavor but ours was the complete opposite! Our cake was beautiful, flavorful and so moist. I wish I would have had time to eat more! My only gripe was during the planning process. It was very simple to do an at-home tasting, but when it came to design, the consultant I worked with was not super friendly and basically told me that what I had chosen wouldn’t look good (even though I had several pictures of exactly what I wanted which were simple and beautiful). In the end it all worked out, but it made me really hesitant about the process. With that being said, the cake was delicious and I would absolutely order from them again.“

“I work in sales and am always bringing my accounts different treats! I needed something for a couple of local accounts and found Sauer's. I have seen it several times but never stopped in. The selection was terrific and the prices were unbeatable! I got a French Flop for one account and a Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake for another. My boss got a text later in the day, from the account I gave the Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake to, asking where we got it from and how incredible it was! They had a carrot cake cookie that I would say ok for $5 but their regular size cookies for that same price is where I'm not totally sold. Don't get me wrong, they taste really good. I will definitely try them again, but only for their bigger cookies. The strawberry pretzel was my favorite. The carrot cake with a bit more nuts would be awesome, and I'm one of those that wants raisins with carrot cake. My only negative once again is $5 for a regular sized cookie that is delicious.FYI, there are 2 touchscreens on the counter. That is where you order. They were backwards when we went in and there was absolutely no way of knowing until they finally assisted us. So if they are backwards, flip them around and order.“

“The four stars is for the restaurant itself. This review is regarding a waitress they have working there, Kate. She was a horrible waitress. I asked for a Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi, whichever they have and she told me they have "Mexican Coke" what the hell is that?! I said, you don't have Diet Pepsi, she said yeah we do, I was like well that's what I asked for.She was not attentive and literally forgot about us sitting in the back. I had to get up and go ask someone if she was still there! The guy I asked said she was still there and he would send her back and even then she took a bit to come back to the table. The place wasn't even crowded. Anyway, Kate finally comes and takes our to go order, since we wanted to take some food home too. Comes back with the to go food and checks, there were three of us and she brought three separate checks, great! Well we tipped according to what we felt she deserved (even then, she actually got more than what she deserved). Also by the way, anytime we go out to eat, we are VERY generous tippers, but do tip accordingly.I go to the washroom and come back and she was at the table talking to my sister and when I walked up, I heard her saying, she left me 10% and you left me 18% and she left me 15% and I just wanna know why? Was there something wrong with my service? She was legit upset! I said to her wait, you're actually questioning your tip? She kept saying that she wanted to know if there was something wrong with the service, but she knows what she was doing. I honestly never in my life have ever had anyone do something like this, I was shocked! Not to mention there were other people sitting around and she was pointing at each of us telling us what we gave her for a tip! It was the most absurd thing! The audacity!So she finally walks away and I go ask for the manager, who happened to be the guy that I asked if she was still there. His name was Sam and he was very nice and very apologetic, he said he was embarrassed and that he would let the owner know. I sure hope he did because employees like this (speaking of employees like that, there were a couple of them behind the deli counter giving us some of the hardest looks, they must be friends!) are going to drive away customers! But I do have to say, the food is amazing and it is a great place!“

“This company bakes amazing sprouted grain breads. The only issue I have with them is shipping to the west coast. The cost of shipping is too high IMHO. I wonder why they can't use USPS priority flat rate boxes. That'll be so much cheaper for some of us to be able to order regularly. I wanted to order some more but at almost $60 I'm unable to. I hope they can look into this issue. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a local business that carries these breads.“

The store about 12 miles from my home and it's in the heart of the Danada square in Wheaton. I was surprised how friendly staff were and they are just focusing on cake only. The cake was very moist and a bit too sweet. In my opinion, if they can reduce the amount of sugar in a half, that would make the cake better. I will definitely come back to try other flavors.“
