“Small but mighty in flavor for both food and drinks The carne asada charo is nearly inexplicably good. Tender and a flavor explosion The orange colored medium salsa looks strange but you forget about that given the spice and in a few moments you just want to drink it The original margarita is a proper one with real lime juice. If you want a sweeter one opt for the house margarita Great family business serving up the best tacos. So simple, so fresh, so good so cal!“

“It was Tuesday, so I had to have tacos. My favorite taco recently has been shrimp. Most of the places I frequent, add large grilled tacos. I was surprised to see small shrimp bites here at Casa Romero. They may have been small, but the flavor was still huge and enjoyable. I'd order them again. When I arrived, I was pleasantly greeted and told I could sit any where I wanted. I chose a booth and was quickly served complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were crisp and warm, which tells me they were super fresh. The salsa had just enough spice and was thick enough to cling to the chip when dipping. Before my entree, I also enjoyed a Top Shelf Margarita and an order of Bean Dip. The Margarita was strong. It was strong enough that I only had one and I typically enjoy two. An order of Bean Dip for me is much more enjoyable than a side of Cheese Dip or Guacamole. The mixture of white cheese and refried beans, doubles the flavor. The ambiance is your typical, bright Mexican colors and sorta tacky decor. For my own personal preference, I could dim the lights a tad. It was extremely bright and the white ceiling lights are a little overpowering.“

“First off all the food that I've had here has always been excellent I've never had anything that I've had to actually send back. I even had one day where they didn't have jalapenos for the carne asada steak but I was completely fine with it because everything still tasted amazing. My server was courteous and spot on and every time that I come there I'm so happy that I found my place for my favorite cuisine.“

“This has always been my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Riverbend. Everyone that I show this place to says that they'll never go anywhere else. I've never had a bad experience here and I don't think I ever will. The queso fundido is something to die for“

“It is a great place with the best food, good service, and attention to every detail. That’s my go-to spot whenever I visit St. Louis. All the workers are nice and kind. The only downside of this place is its location because they don’t have an easy way entrance and exit, but otherwise, I love the place. Thank you for your service!!“

“Was told this has some of the most authentic Mexican food in the STL/IL area and i can't tell you how spot on that was. Placed a pickup order on a Saturday night for their quesadilla 3 de Mayo and steak asada tacos. The order was ready in no less than 15 minutes and was able to pick it up quickly. The quesadilla was huge and had great taste. The red and green salsas that come with the order were unbelievable and an absolute must to add with the food. The steak tacos were also very juicy and lived up to that very traditional street taco. This is a must go to and i will be coming back very soon.“

“My spouse and I had a late lunch here today and it was amazing! Our server was very friendly and attentive. This is the best Mexican food in the area. I had quesabirria and it was full of flavor and very tender with delicious consume. The chips and salsa are the best I have had at any restaurant. The chips are thick and crunchy and the salsa is amazing. Some say it is spicy, but I definitely think it's mild (but I do eat rather spicy food regularly so others may not be used to any spice?). Do not drive by this little gem on College Ave.! Stop in and order some of the best Mexican dishes in the Metro East!“

“Ordered delivery from Si Senor tonight through a 3rd party and accidentally ordered the wrong item. 3rd party couldn’t make another delivery for an hour, so Hector volunteered to bring me my food! Above, Beyond and delicious! Highly recommend. Food is great and customer service is top notch!“

“Staff was welcoming, spoke clearly, understood the options available, was attentive and polite. The restaurant was clean and well stocked. My wife ordered the tofu and it was being cooked fresh at the time. When it was done, a portion was walked out to us. Couldn't have asked for a better experience for me and my family.“

“Stopped in here for some beers at the bar with friends. The place was a bit busy and they were very, very short staffed unfortunately. We waited longer than desired for things, but everyone was still very friendly. I would recommend, but cannot comment on the food.“

“This was the absolute most fresh taco bell I have ever gotten. Not only was all of my food hot it was prepared well. I got a quesadilla meal and the sauce wasn't pouring everywhere and my taco was very well prepared. Love this location.“
