Excellant dinner choices. Great drinks and staff that takes care of you. Everything from the appetizers to the desserts are 5 star. Take your date here and they will be very impressed.”

“Last night, my husband and I visited 1925 Pubhouse at Grandview. We had never been and had heard great things. They have earned "Best if Madison County" in several categories and I completely understand why now! The beverage choices are unique ( I had a Lavender Lemonade with I loved!), food was very very good, portions generous, and service excellent ! The atmosphere is casual and family- friendly, and incredibly relaxing ( we sat on the back porch area). If you get the opportunity, go check it out. I think this is going to be our new "go-to" for dinner close to home!”

“I used to eat here when it was upstairs & had a buffet. Liked that because you could go back & get what you liked incase something was subpar, you could always leave happy. Now it has all the markings of a nice dinning experience, but is hit & miss. Like a pingpong ball in a drier, it bounces from subpar to fantastic. Service can be spectacular one night & 3 1/2 hours another. 1 table can be getting great service while your table is forgotten. I frequent Outback & Grandview because your money buys you repeatability & consistency, not so here. 1 night I got great service & incredible food, but on the night I got bad service and cold bad food, I left in a bad mood feeling I wasted my time & money. I'm holding out hope because this week I got the chief's special & the crab legs were the best I've had. (steak above average) when they are on, it's unbeatable. When not, very overpriced. Still, I will keep checking it out for a while more.”

There is free Wi-Fi, a (more than) generous amount of plug ins, a lot of comfortable seating, games, books (& children’s books), and clean restrooms. Also gotta point out that I love their area for small businesses to hang up cards/ flyers! 🫶 Food & Drink: Amazing ! Can’t remember what I ordered the last 2 times but that’s because each time I just talk to the people up front and tell them what I like, and they make something great for me! 🙂 Staff: As I mentioned above, they’re great! “Tried the famous onion burger. 2 paddies with grilled onions nestled between the paddies. Very hot and tasty. Fries are skinny and hot. The oil was clean and the resturant did not have an odor of cooking oil. Everyone was pleased with food and service. Working Model train was fun to see above our heads.”

“I haven’t been here in a while and I am so sorry that I haven’t. I’m here tonight with a few other friends. Our bartenders, Sam and Dawn, were incredibly generous with their time in offering recommendations for their menu and drinks. Amanda and Abree brought out our food and made sure we had our drinks filled and all that we needed. They weren’t annoying in any way, just gracefully present and attentive.
We came on trivia night (Thursday) and Mikey with Smarty Pants Trivia put on one hell of a show with his trivia (we won round 2)! I spoke with Kris (the marvelous manager) and wanted to express my gratitude for an exceptional evening because of her staff, food quality, and entertainment value. She was very humble and appreciated the feedback from a guy that she had never met.
I truly enjoyed my experience tonight with my friends and can’t wait to come back and repeat this incredible experience.

“Wow. This place is amazing !! Their pizza, sandwiches , salads and apps are so yummy. I have never had anything to eat here that wasn't good. However, today they did something to make me a life long customer. I ordered a pizza to take home, On the way home I got an emergency call I had to go help with immediately. Sadly the pizza got left in my very hot car for 2 hours. I called Arts and asked a manager if they thought it was still safe to eat. They just were not sure, so they said bring it back and we will make you a new one, no charge. What!! This was not their fault. I left it in the car, I didn't ask for anything yet they stepped up to offer me a replacment . I live 45 min. away so I didn't go back, but their kindness was unbelieveable.. I am an Arts girl from now on !!”

I had a western omelette and pancakes with hashbrowns, and everything came out perfectly. I asked for the hashbrowns to be extra crispy, and they were! I asked for extra butter, and it arrived with the pancakes. My wife and I were short on time, and were in and out of the restaurant within 40 minutes! On a Sunday! I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast.”

“It was overpriced hospital food, not hot!! I ordered the Pot Roast with potatoes & carrots, it was warm with a brown gravy that was overly salty. There was no potatoes & carrots. I ordered Mac n Cheese as a side, it was warm and gross. The 2nd side of greenbeans w/bacon was also warm but tasted the best of the whole plate! If I had known there was no potatoes & carrots as the menu says I would have ordered mashed as a side. The waiter who seated us wanted an answer about our drinks immediately as he rudely hovered over and wouldn’t let us look at the menu. It took a decade to get our bill and pay. I won’t go back!”

“I was so happy to find a panaderia in our small town of Anderson! The sweet breads and baked goods are delightful. I so appreciated getting the tres leches cake made for my daughter's birthday there, many people fell in love with that deliciously fresh sweet (but not too sweet) cake! I will be glad when more Latin groceries are stocked, so that I can shop more often! I've recommended it to many people since I discovered you thanks!”

“Absolutely, hands down love this place. I drive up from Indy just to get some Gene's. The food is unbelievable and the service is always, always fast and friendly.

My favorite at any drive-in is a chili cheese dog with onion and mustard. These are definitely the best anywhere. Not overloaded to where you're going to stain your shirt on the first bite, but not so little you're disappointed with your weiner. Just perfect. I love a good, regular hot dog and they're top notch at Gene's. And you can get just the hot dog, no bun for your canine co-pilot.

The root beer isn't bad either; I'll always compare any root beer to the magnificent butterscotch glory that was Edward's (RIP), but Gene's is still really good. I wish they hand battered their onion rings, but that's hard to find anymore.

I know I'm in the minority, but Mug 'n Bun sucks. Remember when you couldn't tip your server if you paid with a card? Yeah. The food quality went down and prices went up. I crossed it off my list even though it's like a mile away. Then Edward's closed. I was lost and devastated.

I found Gene's when I had to have surgery in Anderson for whatever reason. We have hospitals in Indy, but whatever. It was fate that the Spanish dog found me when I so desperately needed a drive-in to call home again. I actually just got back from opening day...more than worth the drive, every time.”

This facility is always clean and I feel safe having my children use their restrooms. The food is always hot, and I often try different things to mix up my food choices. My current favorite is the Turkey Wrap, but you can never go wrong with some grilled nuggies, in the Mac n cheese with some buffalo sauce on top!”

After a few opening glitches, all taken care of by competent management, they’re now the quality I’ve come to expect from other locations. Consistent menu with so many options, especially the pick two 1/2s where you can make an almost limitless variety of options. A bit pricier than than other fast food but worth it for homemade taste and generous portions. My only complaint about this store’s layout is there are only two single-person bathrooms, so there is usually an awkward wait. Maybe they expected Anderson to be mostly carry out business?”
