“I’ve lived in cedar lake for 2 years now and tried franks for the first time today. My only complaint is that I didn’t go there sooner! Food was amazing but came second to how amazing the service and workers are. Will most definitely be back!“

“This place deserves more than 5 stars. Not only is the food mouthwatering delicious, but the staff is amazing as well ( all of them). They are friendly, helpful and so inviting. Everything from the design aspect to the music and the choice of sauces table make it an experience. There is someone in the area cleaning and keeping things in order. Oh and the smell when you walk through the door ?! By far one of the best!“

“Bill's grill catered my job's faculty candidate luncheon today. Everything was incredible. We had rib tops, smoked chicken, mixed greens, coleslaw, garlic mashed potatoes, grilled pineapples all the desserts, banana pudding, icebox lemon, and peach cobbler.....EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT from service to the food! Bravo!!!!“

“Doc's is the kind of place where you've got people from out of town in, and they want BBQ. And you want a huge variety of tap craft beers . Or you want to go there just for the beer. Surprisingly, they also have a huge whiskey selection as well. Oh, the BBQ, very good. Pig wings are flash fried smoked wings. They are fantastic. Everything else is wonderful, brisket, pulled pork and the sides. All at a reasonable price. Service.... Staff is very knowledgeable, especially the bartender who knows a thing or two about the liquor he serves. Great place ??“

“Stopped in and grabbed lunch on the way home from work, and let me tell you it was absolutely amazing! Staff was super friendly and helpful seeing it was my first time there. I ended up getting the two meats and two sides and it was absolutely delicious, I got the rib tips, pulled pork, Mac& cheese and green beans. Portions are huge and very filling. I will definitely be back again soon“

“I forgot to take a picture but I had the brisket with baked beans and turkey tips with a side of potato salad they were delicious. I also had great conversation with the owner. I am Chicago Native finding a great BBQ has been a challenge. This is definitely a winner.“

“I rarely give 5 stars across the board, but I know this incredible establishment for its other location, and this one is 13 minutes away from my son in laws compound. This order was going back to Cheeseville.For starters, the scent. Will bring you close to tears. I'm so glad the drive back home was no longer than 2 hours.The picture is a double rib tip order. Doesn't it look grand on the fine dinnerware? This is the real deal.“

“First time visiting this establishment, and it was exactly what I expected. Nice place for a cheap bite. The staff and servers were inviting and friendly. Took care of all our needs. The food is not 5-star worthy but is not bad either. I got a burger for my main course and potato skins for an appetizer and they were very good. I would definitely revisit this location.“

“The food was almost perfect I tried the Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage and it was perfect the Ribs were great just a bit fatty the brisket was a little to lean and the pulled pork was perfect. The service was great and the food came out really fast. Finally the atmosphere was amazing and super cute. All and all I recommend trying this place out.“

A side of vegetables (broccoli and carrots) were supposed to be "steamed veggies" .... they were so hard, they may as well have been served as raw veggies on the side. Also, the sweet tea was 100% NOT sweet. The waitress got me another glass and ensured that she filled it from the tea labeled sweet, and it was still VERY mic unsweetened tea. I added some sugar packets to it and gave up having her bring me any more glasses of it. Service was pretty good and atmosphere was great. My salmon and baked sweet potato were cooked PERFECTLY ... the caesar dressing they use on the caesar salad was incredibly good as usual.“

“First time eating here and the food was very good. Not too impressed with lemon rice soup...too thick & have had better. When putting the rest of my lunch in a to go container I noticed a hair in my rice under my chicken breast. Sam was our waitress which by the way she was awesome! She took care of me & my bill. I really appreciated that it was not a debate or argument to make sure I was a happy customer. I will definitely be back. Just that one mishap is not going to hinder me coming back. Try the lemon cake...it is out of this world!“
