“Stopped by here yesterday to get myself a butter burger and was annoyed to find out I was charged $0.40 for condiments. Sorry but what? When did I have to start paying for my ketchup for my fries? Who doesn’t eat fries with condiments? Ridiculous.The burger was delicious as always and I enjoyed my flavor of the day. I’ll obviously still return because I love the food; but just an annoying observation I found on my receipt over my ketchup request.“
“4pm on a Wednesday my wife and i ate at craft house.I had a bowl of chili, which was very hearty with lots of meat. The flavor was good, but nothing special. My wife had a cup of French onion soup she said it was good. We both had the yellow perch dinner. Our plates were delivered quickly and piled high with thick meaty fillets and side winder fries. All were cooked just right. The side of Cole slaw was very good. We had enough food left over for another meal. Our 2 soups 2 meals and 2 waters $57. We will be back.“
“We were on our way to Downtown Chesterton for some antique shopping and decided to give Gastro 49 a try for lunch. It is pretty typical bar tyoe fare, burgers and such. The burger was generous and wdll seasoned. The pulled pork was good as well. Service was friendly.“
“We have now been twice. The food was made perfectly and served hot. The menu has a lot of interesting choices that you don't find everywhere. The prices are so reasonable. The staff is friendly, efficient and attentive. The diner decor is so cute. It is eclectic without being cluttered or disheveled. The coffee is delicious and they send you out the door with a cup to go.“

“My new favorite! Date night at Cheers for the comedy show was perfect. We got there early and had dinner. The service was excellent from start to finish. Every seat was filled and yet the speedy service never slowed down. The staff all wore a smile and were very attentive and seem to really be enjoying themselves. The vibe was casual and very laidback. The food came out quick and hot and absolutely delicious. The pretzel is a must have! Our drinks were too good to have just one, the beer was the coldest I’ve ever had. Squeaky clean, even the bathrooms were spotless. I can’t wait to go back, my husband said this is our new go to! Great new spot!“
“After a day of hiking through the Dunes, we were happy to find a restaurant with 4+ stars. The ratings were true. Our waitress was very kind and patient with our questions about the menu. She was prompt on refills and a delight to talk to. The food was good and we will definitely stop back by when we return in the summer for a new Dunes experience.“
“1st time here, so kinda limited in what we tried from the menu. Great pizza! The crust is a bit crunchy, but soft inside. Wonderful!! The toppings were nice and fresh and plentiful. A good amount of cheese on the pizza too. Not skimpy, but not overwhelming either, just right.Also tried the Spinach Galette, which was awesome!!! and the onion rings are good, but the onions themselves (inside the onion rings) were a bit tough to bite through. Good flavor and crunch on the breading though.2 kinds of Italian sausage ( 1 mild, the other slightly spicy), but with big containers of crushed red pepper on the table, a bit more heat is never TOO far away!Vegetarian options: Like most pizza joints, options for vegetarians are plentiful!!!!!“

“Didn’t feel like a family restaurant, was crowded together even though room was available elsewhere, server made us feel like she was doing us a favor, not friendly. Breakfast and lunch are great always has been. For that reason I will change my rating to four stars.“
