“My new favorite! Date night at Cheers for the comedy show was perfect. We got there early and had dinner. The service was excellent from start to finish. Every seat was filled and yet the speedy service never slowed down. The staff all wore a smile and were very attentive and seem to really be enjoying themselves. The vibe was casual and very laidback. The food came out quick and hot and absolutely delicious. The pretzel is a must have! Our drinks were too good to have just one, the beer was the coldest I’ve ever had. Squeaky clean, even the bathrooms were spotless. I can’t wait to go back, my husband said this is our new go to! “We walked into a packed house last night at Joe & Freddy's Bar & Grill in Michigan City and for good reason.Famished, we ordered Calamari and Potstickers right away. They were much to our delight I must say! Ultimately, we decided on the Sea Bass special feature for our dinner.The Sea Bass was perfectly cooked, served atop plump and crunchy asparagus, finished with a lemon sauce and the wonderfully briny flavor of capersthat created an explosion of flavor that had us oohing and awing all the while. The charred lemon on the plate was pretty impressive, too!The delightful Mandy, our server, was on point throughout the evening while maintaining her beautiful smile, mind you, on a hugely busy night.Joe & Freddy's delivered big time last night. We even had the pleasure of speaking briefly with the talented Chef, Ismael, but not the uber talented Nicole Bissonnett. We'll save that for the next time!“

“The atmosphere is mostly mid to upper age. Mixed music genre. Staff/servers are amazing and very attentive. They served the best chicken sandwich ever. Drinks were refreshing and reasonably priced. The establishment was very clean. Will definitely return.“

“The best part of Northside is the atmosphere. It is different from other bars in areas like Franklin and Duffies based on the fact that it's not jammed butt to gut, and you get quick service. They really just need a bathroom up-date as their bathrooms look like a prison bathroom you have seen in the movies.“

You almost always walk out with having made a new friend. All the staff are polite and helpful and there's lots of seating. Always a good time here.“

“This is the only place I go when I visit Portage! I'm addicted to crispy wings, and you will NOT find better crispy Wings anywhere else. I get them dry with a side of hot sauce, and their hot sauce is amazing?. Perfect heat, and a subtle fruity aftertone. Bartender is awesome, friendly, and the food always comes out quick. I can only vouch for the wings, because I haven't and won't order anything else.“

“Their wings are special. I haven't been there in a while. The last time I had a different experience. This time the traditional wings were excellent. Crispy, hot and some of the best sauces I've ever had. Mondays the wings are specially priced and you can order however many you would like....any number! Our service was great. My wife tried the chicken wedge salad. She liked it but there could have been more chicken to the order. We will be back!“
