“This cool dive had one of the best burgers in my memory with the figgy piggy. It's worth it to upgrade to the sweet potato tots, and the fries are so good! In addition to the delicious food, I appreciated the local crafts on tap. Octave Grill: I'll be back.“

“It looks like Hunter's doesn't need another five-star review but here goes... I enjoyed my first visit there a few days ago. The rauchbier (smoked beer) was excellent and a rare find, and the red ale, kolsch and lager were good as well. There are many others I haven't tried yet. Bill knows his beer and he pays attention to his guests which is becoming less and less common in a world of corporate microbreweries where your server often doesn't even drink beer and doesn't know a thing about it. The flatbread pizza was just what I needed to go with my drink, and the live entertainment from Beth Niemann went well with both. And they played Cheers on the TV rather than the usual sports. I'd rather look at Shelly Long than at a bunch of guys running around in helmets. I'm glad I chose to stay in Chesterton and visit Hunter's for my beer, and I'll be back.“

“We were on our way to Downtown Chesterton for some antique shopping and decided to give Gastro 49 a try for lunch. It is pretty typical bar tyoe fare, burgers and such. The burger was generous and wdll seasoned. The pulled pork was good as well. Service was friendly.“

“The first thing that caught my eye was the paintings of famous people on the building. I actually sat in the car for a few minutes looking at them all. The taste of the food was good enough for the price alone but portions that you were given for your entry are no joke I had to take the rest in a to-go container. I'm definitely going to come back. “Came here at the recommendation of a good friend was definitely not disappointed. Its a smaller establishment so that was tough to deal with as far as anxiety goes, but we didnt have to wair long to be seated! Dexter aka Spicy White Tuna Roll was our server and he was efficient, friendly, and hilarious! I tried the Dragon Egg (what a masterpiece!) as well as the Autumn Lemon Roll (I LOVE lemon and was quite pleased). You get what you pay for here but it was an awesome sushi time!“

“Cozy, friendly, the food was really, really good. Possibly the best breakfast food in the area. The coffee I ordered great. Tge waiter had a good sense of humor, I'm goofy and take nothing very seriously and he picked up on that. Did a good job.“

“1st time here, so kinda limited in what we tried from the menu. Great pizza! The crust is a bit crunchy, but soft inside. Wonderful!! The toppings were nice and fresh and plentiful. A good amount of cheese on the pizza too. Not skimpy, but not overwhelming either, just right.Also tried the Spinach Galette, which was awesome!!! and the onion rings are good, but the onions themselves (inside the onion rings) were a bit tough to bite through. Good flavor and crunch on the breading though.2 kinds of Italian sausage ( 1 mild, the other slightly spicy), but with big containers of crushed red pepper on the table, a bit more heat is never TOO far away!Vegetarian options: Like most pizza joints, options for vegetarians are plentiful!!!!!“

“Nice clean location, and pleasant people. Not sure what the corned beef is used in the skillet. I remember years ago being fresh, corned beef. Real stuff. This was strange. Didn't eat it, didn't complain but be advised. I'll stick with basics next time.“

“Their Kathi rolls are amazing. I tried to Malai tikka (Chicken) roll few weeks ago and I am just hooked. Gone back every week. It is big enough size for lunch and super delicious ad not spicy at all. Also, chicken Tikka roll was superb, little on the spicy side for my husband but great for me and you could always ask them to make it mild. I normally do medium spicy.Butter chicken is another delicacy to try for those who find almost everything spicy. Butter chicken is not spicy and tastes great over here. This place has improved so much over the last couple of years and I like the food very much now.“

“Went there with my family, the food was reasonably priced, and much better tasting than I have come to expect from places. I hope their cooks are making decent money because our food was perfect. Fast food has gone crazy downhill so hopefully these places get more traffic.“

“This was an "accidental" visit. We were traveling on Christmas Eve and they were open. How lucky for us! I knew exactly what I wanted, so I ordered a small sausage/mushroom/ onion pie. My husband couldn't decide so he had our server choose from 3 options. She came back with a meat lovers with bbq sauce instead of pizza sauce. Both pizzas were excellent, and the service was super. I don't know if I'd have been so cheerful if I were working Christmas Eve. She kept our (very large!) cups filled with pop and checked on us a few times during the meal. And the price wasn't too bad! We'll be adding Gelsosomo's to our routine when traveling back and forth between Michigan and Wisconsin. Thank you so much!“
