“This place is amazing. I actually forgot to take pictures because I was too distracted talking to the owner about the amazing atmosphere and Ethiopian language and his experiences as an immigrant in the US and his very fancy coffee machine that he was very proud of ("the Telsla of coffee makers", he called it! He showed me how it works, and it is - in fact - the Tesla of coffee machines). So not only was the service and atmosphere absolutely inviting, the quality of human interaction I experienced was remarkable. I spent a full hour just talking and asking questions and getting to know the people working that day. Also - they have a printer available for anyone to use (pay like $.15/page or something) - all you have to do is email them and tell them "hey im having this printed and I'm going to come get it in half an hour" - which is such a thoughtful service to offer, especially for those of us who dont have a home printer but still need to be able to print resumes and school assignments or various forms required for daily adult life. So - if you're just looking for a great cup of coffee or a tasty treat, I would highly recommend this place. My medium coffee and baklava (a generous serving) came out to $11 - very reasonably priced. If you are looking to connect with new people and experience a sense of community and perhaps indulge in a bit of cultural exchange, in addition to enjoying a delicious coffee, I can assure you that you wont be disappointed at Abol Cafe.“
“Amazing food! Had the Rob Deep Dish, my fam got their own pizza and sandwiches they also loved. I asked for a substitution of bacon to replace the ham. They had a mix up and forgot to put the substitution in, which is fine -things happen. Unexpectedly, they comped me the messed up pizza and made me a whole new deep dish! Maybe I’m from an area with crappy restaurants but being left the food AND getting a replacement was a breath of fresh air! Will definitely return to eat some more delicious food“

“I decided to try this coffee place which is in Hotel Marty. It's a small space with chairs and tables. Since it was December, they had some holiday themed drinks and I tried the white Christmas which is a white chocolate mocha and cinnamon flavor. “Truly one of my favorite places in Louisville to grab a pint, a very, very tasty pint in fact. If you're a fan of hazy IPAs, I recommend you look no further than my favorite tap of Fuzzy Fields. As the name suggests, this perfectly golden and yes, fuzzy, hazy IPA sends tingles to every last one of your taste buds. The ambiance is very relaxed. Beer tenders are all kind and friendly. You can bring your dog. No food served but Nulu is stacked with options you can bring in to munch on while you sip glorious beer. They have a really great trivia event every Sunday at 5:00. Jake, the host, is fantastically charismatic and puts together a challenging but fun to play game.“

The pizza crust was perfect and pizza itself had the right amount of toppings. Ranch was great. The restaurant itself was clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. “Popped into this establishment on a whim. Heard a song I liked and seemed like great ambiance. It was a rainy midweek evening and ended up staying many hours. The bartender Michael made excellent Old Fashioned. We enjoyed it so much and told they were having an event on Friday and invited us to come back. So we did. Now on a Friday it was far more lively even though it was another rainy night, and the great cocktails continued. They had a really great selection of bourbons as well which was a nice surprise. They also have a patio bar in the front of the building and had one last drink while waiting for our Uber.“

On this tour you get to learn about not just their bourbon but other spirits as well as all about prohibition and how it influenced the company. There were several tastings and in the end I was able to actually theive my own bottle straight out of the barrel. Overall, a fantastic experience with great people. Highly reccomended!“

The wait time was about 45 mins for a table, but that was perfectly okay because of the outside bar and porch to wait! cornhole, table jenga, and connect 4 games were also outside, so there are things to do while you wait. the food is spectacular. Try their homemade jams and hot sauce! You won't be disappointed! Service was excellent. We sat at the bar, bartender was great (Jasmine), and the wait time for our food was under 10 mins. I ordered the BIG BAD BISCUIT - Make sure you have room in your belly because the portions are extremely generous! I could only eat half of the biscuit! This is one of the few restaurants I can eat at due to a soy allergy, as they do not fry in soybean oil!Food: All of their appetizers are great, but a lot of their food fare isn't very good unless you're eating after you're 2+ beers in. Scotch egg isn't a true scotch egg, but still decent. Fish and chips are classic, steak fries are reliable. They know how to fry food well. The bangers and mash are very difficult to stomach, which was a disappointment as I love making this dish at home! The staff are mindful if you ask for food restrictions. Even if this business is more well known for its bar, it's important for a pub to have quality food as good as its alcohol.Service: No critiques! The staff is extremely friendly and kind (if you can, be courteous and tip them well).Atmosphere: it's a warm, brighter lit Irish pub. Lounge chairs, booths, high tables and small tables are available. My favorite seating is the outdoor patio. This spot seems popular and cozy for older crowds (think the cracker barrel crowd if they were fun), and is good for chill sports viewing. A wheelchair user *may* have to sit at a table that is in a walk path for servers, which could be uncomfortable for both the patron and others.“

“My friends and I went to The Widow's Walk while on a girls' trip. A storm was rolling in, and we didn't check their Facebook for their hours (as instructed on their voicemail). As we were pulling up, they were closing down to get ahead of the storm it was just the owner and one other person working I believe her name was Dee. The owner graciously let us order quickly before closing down. I got a brownie ala mode with pumpkin ice cream. The description says, "Brownie with one scoop of ice cream". The brownie and the pumpkin ice cream were delicious, and that was the biggest scoop I've ever had. The owner and Dee were super nice and her signs all over are hilarious (if you have a sense of humor). FIVE STARS! If I'm ever back in the area, I will return :).“
