“I didn't order any food when I recently visited Spanky's - a bar and grill located in a small strip mall located at 15213 101st Ave. in Dyer, Indiana. I had a few drinks, served by the very kind bartenders, and really enjoyed the live music with my friends and family! You can smoke in the bar, but it is pretty well venhilated, according to my non-smoking friends. There is a decent sized stage, plenty of space to sit at at the bar or at the tables in front of the stage, and there wasn't a wait for the bathrooms. There were three stalls available in the ladies room, which were clean, and it was nice not having to wait! Prices for the drinks were very reasonable. If music isn't your thing, there were plenty of TV's to watch - showing the news, gameshows, and sports games. I had an awesome time, they had amazing musicians, and I look forward to going back soon!Parking: Because the bar is located within a strip club, parking can be limited. There are signs in front of the businesses that state only customers for that business can park there. There IS free, additional parking located behind the strip mall, though.Kid-friendliness: This is a bar that features adult music. You might just want to leave the children at home with a baby sitter if you're going late!Wheelchair accessibility: There are parking spots for disabled individuals. Those with wheelchairs shouldn't have much trouble navigating the single level bar.“
“Tanya is very nice. I ordered some greens bake Mac and cheese and bake chicken I had hot water cornbread and banana pudding. This place is in dyer on Sheffield it's a hidden gem. Go try her food delish. A soulfood place close by in the neighborhood check her menu out.“
“Great ? dogs, etc. Counter help personable, efficient. Different brand of dogs that are super. Chicken strips different from the usual type. Excellent.Parking: Limited, but enough.Kid-friendliness: Everyone welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: Seems adequate.“
“So I visited the area for spring break and was taken to this restaurant by my Son and his Wife on March 18, 2024. I was very pleased with the ambiance. It's an intimate restaurant with a small waiting area that leads out to the eating entrance that has at least 10 tables ranging from 2 to 4 seats, two restrooms, drinking station used by the employees and the cooking area. The Waitress was pleasant and experienced. The presentation of each dish was mouthwatering as you can see. The taste was very much to my liking and seasoning to a minimum as it should be. The amount of food you get for the price is definitely feasible. Yes, you get your monies worth! The Cook that day was on point and delivered! He needs his own tip jar! The way he made the hashbrowns are unique with this mashed/hashbrown taste that melts in your mouth. My omelet was loaded with spinach, I definitely took in my daily dosage of Vitamin C for that day. Freshness and not overcooked was also key. Restaurants like this are fading away in St. Louis City and we need to "Bring Back America" with this here. In my Arnold Schwarzenegger voice, "I will be back".“
“I was totally shocked by how well kept this restaurant has remained post the pandemic. The food was great. My well-done steak was actually well done and not pink on the inside. The seasoning used on the corn and green beans was delicious! Keep up the good work: I'll be back!“
“We had a fantastic experience at this place. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We started with drinks and a pasta , enjoying the outdoor ambiance. This restaurant food is delicious. We highly recommend this place and plan to return when we're in the area.“
“First time checking the restaurant and pub. Enjoyed the spicy calarmari with some bevarages. The cucumber margarita was superb! The atmosphere is cozy and upscale. The service staff was professional and friendly. Looking forward to returning to this “
“Interesting little place that you could easily miss if you didn't know it was here. Stopped in for breakfast and tried the breakfast Mac. The meat was perfect and the white cheddar sauce hit the spot. Prices are fair for the product and if you feel a little adventurous their specialty menu has some interesting options I want to try if I am in Dwyer again sometime. Overall feel is updated Americana breakfast with a twist.I do like that they offer cholula along with Tabasco. Bar appears adequately stocked for a restaurant, but wasn't hear for a drink.Decor is warm, vibrant and easy on the eye. Music is R&B with appropriate volume levels so you can hear your conversations easily. You will pay 15 to 25 a head and it's worth it. Definitely stop in. Breakfast hours are reasonably quiet.Vegetarian options: Several vegan options are available and it caters to a wide variety of pallets. I didn't try them so maybe next time.Parking: Ample. Easy street access.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level. Easy double door entrance and floor navigation shouldn't be a problem. Bathrooms are handicap accessible.“
“We received a gift card to Chilis for our birthday's, and went on a Wednesday night. It wasn't crowded, and we were waited on promptly. The entire staff were very friendly, and eager to serve. The food was hot and delicious. The hot fudge volcano cake was the best! The prices of all items were almost double what they used to be before covid and recent inflation, but that's the same everywhere you go, so not out of line. The atmosphere was good, and we really enjoyed the whole experience!“
“Doc's is the kind of place where you've got people from out of town in, and they want BBQ. And you want a huge variety of tap craft beers . Or you want to go there just for the beer. Surprisingly, they also have a huge whiskey selection as well. Oh, the BBQ, very good. Pig wings are flash fried smoked wings. They are fantastic. Everything else is wonderful, brisket, pulled pork and the sides. All at a reasonable price. Service.... Staff is very knowledgeable, especially the bartender who knows a thing or two about the liquor he serves. Great place ??“
