“After living in Jasper nearly my whole life, I'm ashamed to admit that I am only just now able to say that I've eaten at Snap's for the first time. But hey, better late than never! Lol. My grandmother took me out for lunch and highly recommended that I try their "gator bites"... Not gonna lie, I was slightly apprehensive to confidently order alligator (for the first time, too) in Jasper, Indiana. But since she couldn't say enough positive things about them, I gave in and ordered them as my main dish... Long story short- OH MY LAWD WERE THEY AMAZING! Definitely did not disappoint. Overall, they did a great job leaving a positive first impression on me. Now it all makes sense why Snap's is considered one of Jasper's staple restaurants. Super eager to dine here again so I can see what else they have to offer! ? ?❤️??“
“BarEven though the name is something of a tongue twister, Owsley's Lounge is a welcome addition to the Jasper scene. Sitting right next to the Fairfield Inn on the Patoka river, it is a welcome addition for us weary travelers who want to have a cocktail and chat after a day of meetings. The nights we were there were interesting: they were trying out some new bartenders and the first night the lady was very nice, but just terrible. Sean (the main bartender) swooped in and saved the day, and was just a hoot to chat with.Second night, much better trainee and Sean was still large and in charge- this place has some serious potential and there is a new and almost open rooftop bar - imagine that for Jasper!Drinks were well made and there is food available - nothing to blow your mind, pretty much just bar food: pretzels, wings, nachos and some pulled pork. Looking forward to hitting it next time I am in that areaParking is somewhat limited with the hotel sharing the lot but definitely give it a shot if in the area“
“Best oriental-american food that you'll find in a hundred mile radius! Amazing food, great staff, wonderful service and a simple clean designed restaurant that will offer an all around great time. Our waitress was wonderfully attentive and caring!!“
“We were there on a Saturday evening and the special was BBQ chicken. Was pretty good BBQ chicken for chicken fixed in an oven. It took way too long to get your meal, unless you were a regular. They got great service. We were from out of the area so we waited for about 40 minutes to get our food. While others around us got their food much quicker. As they seemed to be regulars.Saturday night special was way over priced 2 pieces of chicken and french fries was around $16.00.This is a small local bar and everyone was friendly, except for the bartender.“
“I highly recommend The Gashlight. It has a very warm and inviting atmosphere and a nice variety of food choices and the food is very good. The service very nice. You won't regret it!Parking: Besides street parking there is new parking directly behind the building and a back door to access the restaurant.“
“This is a little hometown bar. The pizza was a little pricey the one pictured was $27 but it definitely had a lot of ingredients and good flavor. The owner was very friendly and talkative. I got this to go and didn't have to wait very long for it to be made.Kid-friendliness: This is a bar so no children allowed.“
