“This place was amazing. I am so glad we stopped here to eat yesterday. The kimchi was the best I have ever had. My daughter wanted to try it for the first time and we both liked it. She ordered shabu pot and said it was very good. I ordered hunan tofu and it was delicious. We also split a sushi roll that was very good. Trinity tried the strawberry milk tea with boba. The man who waited on is was very nice, helpful, and just all around awesome. We will be back! I've been telling people since yesterday that they should go too.“
“First time coming here. I ordered the salmon hibachi (miso soup, ginger salad, roasted vegetables, and fried rice) and it was so delicious! The salmon was PERFECT and there was so much food. The prices aren't bad considering inflation! Our server was really great and the music playlist was nice. My husbands favorite part was that they bring you bottles of the ginger dressing and yum yum sauce so you can use as much as you'd like. We will definitely be back“
“Not as great as my previous (pre-COVID) visit. However, the food was still good. Seemed a little short staffed.Vegetarian options: There are many sushi rolls that are vegetarian and you can order a vegetarian hibachi option as well. The soup & salad that come with the meal are very good and vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: If you are very clear about your restrictions, they can accommodate most issues. However, if anyone has life threatening seafood allergies, I would not eat there.Kid-friendliness: Kids would generally love the show the hibachi grill offers but the games can be scary and it would depend on how patient they are about getting their food.Wheelchair accessibility: The hibachi tables would be a little difficult for a wheeler chair but I’m sure they would accommodate to the best they could and still allow for other people to be able to get in/out of their seats.“
“A casual, simple sushi restaurant with uncomplicated delicious food, where the chef clearly takes pride in his work. I highly recommend! Try the crunch roll!Dietary restrictions: Sushi is always great for non-dairyParking: I didn't see a lot of parking, but if it's not too busy (which it wasn't when I went), there are a couple of spots along the street nearby.Wheelchair accessibility: I think a wheelchair would have trouble because the door is a bit narrow and there's a step to get in“
“Wow oh Wow. There's a reason this place is held in such high regard. For starters, I typically don't like Japanese food but I would eat Enso's food off the floor. Yes it's that good. Food: there was not a single dish I did not enjoy. Everything I had was exploding with flavor and exceeded expectations. I was going to go into extreme detail about how much I enjoyed each and every dish but as of two weeks ago (mid March 2024) the menu was updated and a lot of the things I had are no longer available. The octopus hush puppies are still available and VERY delicious. The toppings really bring this dish over the top and make it something special. Although I am sad to see my favorite dish (creamy scallop udon) no longer on the menu, I am equally excited to have a reason to come back and try other things. Service: impeccable. My waiter was kind and helpful and well versed in the menu. If you have any questions about portions or menu be sure to ask because this group is amazing and will get you answers! Atmosphere: I came on a weeknight about 10 minutes after they opened and I was the only one there until closer to 5. The space is very simple but sleek. Price: This is where I advise to understand what you're getting into. This is not a fast casual spot and one shouldn't expect those prices. But the prices are not outrageous for the quality/quantity of food you get. It was around $100 for enough food for 2 people. Obviously this is where it can vary depending on what dishes you get, but trust me, you'll want to try a skewer or the octopus hush puppies. Overall: amazing food and I can't wait to bring my husband back for a date night.“
“I visited with some colleagues and we had a great experience. The food was very good and the drinks were reasonably prices. I had the sweet and spicy wings. They had a great flavor with just the right amount of spice. We shared the nachos with the ginger chicken and the taste was delicious. They also had a decent bourbon selection for the size of the location. I would recommend and return to this location.“
“If you're looking for an experience a little bit different to drive thru fried food. This is definitely a place to add to your list. We visited pretty late last night around 8, and there was only 1 car waiting. The staff was so friendly and quick that they took our order, and then we were able to take a buzzer to our car and hang out and wait. Once the food was ready, it came with a delicious duck sauce? Eel sauce? Mayo? Some sort of sauce, and it was delicious. The meat was well cooked, and our food was hot and tasted better than fried what not. Thank you!“
“our waitress was so sweet!! I went with my best friend and her family today and got the spicy tuna roll and yum yum roll, it was some of the best sushi I've ever eaten!! will definitely recommend in the future to anyone looking for a new place to try.“
“We had an amazing dinner and are excited to come back and try the ramen!!! Hibachi and boba tea were both great, and our server was awesome and super accommodating of my weird dietary restrictions. Super cute casual atmosphere. This might be one of my new favorite spots!!“
“WARNING! DO NOT get ANY side order because it is NOT worth the money for a few bites. Get the main courses. Great food just VERY disappointed this trip. Thought I would just order the side Salmon without the rice, soup, and vegetables(hibachi dish), but instead only got a tiny square of Salmon. Could have gone elsewhere for a decent meal for $9. ?“
“My favorite Chinese spot. I've gotten Mongolian beef, pepper chicken (my fav!!), sesame chicken and avocado roll. I love their food! It's a smooth 30 minute drive from my house but I go about every 2 months if not more. I usually order with plain white rice. I also like the crab Rangoon! I want to try some of their tofu next. I think it's a great spot. I usually get uber eats of it if I'm not feeling up to the drive.“
“Service is wonderful and we received the food quickly. The atmosphere is nice if not a bit loud. Sake is great, beer is great. Love the house salad and the seaweed salad. Some really cool sushi combo, try the Sunken Titanic if you dare. Salmon doesn't have a lot of flavour on its own and wish it came chilled instead of room temperature.“
“My absolute favorite sushi place around. Have been going to this place for years and still love it. The derby roll is always my go-to. Their house salad is great as well as the hibachi dinner with any choice of protein. Ginger dressing is next level. Portions of food are large. Service is always satisfactory. The restaurant is a nice environment with plenty room for customers. It is a bit pricey but it is a guaranteed pleasant experience & well spent splurge. Would recommend this place to anyone craving quality sushi and delicious hibachi.“
“Food & service.Seated as soon as we walked in. Hostess was very friendly. She was aware that one in my party was struggling with the menu & came & explained items to them.Order placed, everything was delivered timely & was delicious. Was a nice afternoon with friends.“
“Great food, service great, you can watch them grill your food and make fresh sushi. Very reasonably priced except for the smoothies, they are pricey and the frozen blueberry one that we tried wasn't that great. Not very flavorful. The food was amazing!“
“We are frequent patrons of DKD in New Albany and have been to the Louisville location a few times. We love the food, atmosphere, and attentiveness of the staff.Kid-friendliness: We recently celebrated a birthday here, reserving a table on the outdoor patio. We were later told we had to move to another table because the outdoor patio was technically "bar" seating and we had a 6 month old baby with us. -- It was confusing and odd as the Exchange right across the street allows children in their outdoor patio area adjacent to the bar. I wish this would have been made clear or we could get some explanation on why this area is not suitable for our party. There is side street access to this area so its not like it is "only accessible" through the bar. - It was odd. Just thought I'd share. Other than this issue we usually have a great experience at DKD.“
