“Aladdin’s was recommended by many of the locals as we walked around the shops in town. It did not disappoint! Let me start by saying that the hummus and naan bread was amazing. Such good, warm, fresh bread! I could almost just eat that as a meal.I enjoyed the gyro meal with a salad and my wife had the chicken shawarma with rice. We didn’t have room left for desert but it looked delicious. If you are looking for great Mediterranean food, this is your place.Sorry that I didn’t get more photos of the food. I was too busy eating it. :)Parking: There is plenty of public parking down behind the shops here. The restaurant is located in a place called the “underground station”. It is behind eureka men’s clothing store.“

“We are frequent patrons of DKD in New Albany and have been to the Louisville location a few times. We love the food, atmosphere, and attentiveness of the staff.Kid-friendliness: We recently celebrated a birthday here, reserving a table on the outdoor patio. We were later told we had to move to another table because the outdoor patio was technically "bar" seating and we had a 6 month old baby with us. -- It was confusing and odd as the Exchange right across the street allows children in their outdoor patio area adjacent to the bar. I wish this would have been made clear or we could get some explanation on why this area is not suitable for our party. There is side street access to this area so its not like it is "only accessible" through the bar. - It was odd. Just thought I'd share. Other than this issue we usually have a great experience at DKD.“

I ordered the medium and have half of it to take home. My husband and daughter got the bimbapp with bulgogi. They described it as lightly spiced, refreshing and filling carrots cucumbers onions and more on a bed of rice top with a fresh fried egg. Service is friendly and the restaurant is very clean.“

“This place is a gem, don’t let location fool you.We have been coming here for almost 6 years since moving from California. We’re a bit particular of good food, and every time we dine in here it feels as though the Mimo family cooks just for us.We have our go-tos.Hubby likes the Tomato Basil Pasta. My go to is the Seafood linguini.I personally also think they have the best calamari ever. It’s light. Not overly breaded or greasy. The marinara here is delish, I’ve heard three people tell me they could drink it by the jug >_<Portions are sufficient for one, not family style to share and have all these leftovers, which I personally like.Having worked in a New York-style Pizzeria for approximately 4 years myself, I do opine that their pizza here (at least cheese and cheese + pep options) are 10/10.Prices are also very fair.If you like a clean portion of Italian fare locally, (we’ve tried all the other options around)… we highly recommend Mimo’s.“

“Whenever my husband and I find a new place to eat that is 5-star worthy, you can bet I'm going to leave a raving review!!!Recently, my husband was in the mood for a great Japanese steakhouse, and I happened to find this place on Google Maps. We moved to this area from Louisville almost 2 years ago and are slowly finding new places to eat locally and, when we found out there was a Japanese steakhouse close by, we definitely wanted to try it out and I'm so glad we did. We literally ate here 3 times in a matter of two weeks because it was sooo good! The food is absolutely delicious! The rice is fresh and hot, the steak is perfectly cooked every single time, and the sauce is out of this world! ? We have yet to order anything we haven't liked, and we've tried many different things from their menu. The wait staff have always been very polite, attentive, and quick to wait on us when we dine in and when we do take out. The ambiance of the restaurant is relaxing and family-friendly, and the cleanliness is always spot on, including the restroom. This restaurant is now one of our favorites, and we can't wait to bring our out-of-town visiting family members here the next time they come to visit because it's just THAT AMAZING! ?Don't sleep on this place just because it's in a strip mall type setting. Sometimes, the best places are found in the most unlikely areas. You will not be disappointed with this restaurant. It's definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ worthy!!! ?“

“We are not from Kentucky but we came in after the Derby and the staff was very friendly and informative. They got our beverages and food out quickly because we informed them that we were exhausted. We shared the surf and turf. The lobster was cooked perfectly. The filet was cooked medium rare, as requested, but the sauce that accompanied it was too salty. The twice baked potato was a welcome addition considering I haven't had one in many years. The potato was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside with a great flavor.“

“We found this place while visiting the casino and it deserves all the hype!! We're alway looking for diners when we travel and this one has hit the top 5 of that list. The building is from the late 1800's and has been Vic's cafe since 1969!! The waitress is fixing to celebrate her 25th anniversary with Vic's an isn't that something and so is this place. Because you can smoke In there still ya have to be 21 and over to enter- to us empty nesters this is fine and the food is great!! It hit all my ol man's home runs, biscuits gravy, tater tots and canned Diet Coke - he hates fountain - the decor is still probably from who knows when and it's fantastic!! I can't hype this place up enough! The food was delicious and for 2 meals and drinks 25 bucks!!! I hope you enjoy the review as much as I have enjoyed this place - see ya later Vics -till next trip!!“

“Ate here for the first time last weekend for lunch. I wasn’t impressed with the menu options and prices seem rather high. I order chicken and dumpling soup expecting a small bowl and it came out like an entree. Temperature was luke warm at best. More dumplings than chicken and cost $12.99. I was expecting a small bowl which lists for $4.99 on menu. Server didn’t mention the chicken dumplings was an entree special.Ambiance is not great inside. Iced tea tasted a bit light. I honestly can’t recommend personally, but you may have a better experience than I did.“

“I hadn't been here for a dinner service in a couple years. I had come for the lunch buffet off and on (which is usually great especially for the value) but hadn't sit down for dinner here We got cheese sticks and the mama bearno's special. Both of these were great choices! The mama bearno's can be described as a "supreme" type pizza with a lot of toppings. Each bite had many toppings with a good taste and quality. Additionally I think I have found this place to have possibly the cheapest Guinness draft in the local area. As a Guinness lover this is especially important. Service was efficient even though they were clearly a bit short handed the night I was there.“

“I personally DO usually like this place, but today was not the best experience. No one was exceptionally rude but I ordered hash browns with chili, mushrooms and onions on top and there was only chili. When I said something because they charge per topping the server said oh it's there it's on the bottom. So I looked there were still No onions and only 4 mushrooms. I took a picture and I really did look but I feel like not only did I pay for something I didn't get but it didn't seem like anyone cared. You shouldn't charge people for extras if you aren't going to give them to them.“

Floyd County Brewing Company Brewery • $$
129 W Main St, New Albany

“Oftentimes when I’m in Louisville I stay at Caesars Southern Indiana. The casino’s food options are pathetic, so I ventured out to find Floyd County Brewing Company (you probably pass it on Main St. if you’re going to the casino).I’ve been a few times and the service is always top notch, the selection of locally crafted beers is great (I’ve not had one I don’t like), and the food is of great quality (I usually get a burger). Most recently I got the “Sirloin & The Shrimps” and substituted the grilled veggies for the mashed potatoes. All was seasoned great and the steak was cooked to perfection (rare).I highly recommend Floyd County Brewing Company if you’re in the area or at the casino (it’s better than anything they have to offer).“
