Tomo Japanese Restaurant Reviews
We visited TOMO Saturday evening. We love hibachi style japanese cooking. The food was very bland. The rice had hardly any flavor. We had to ask for dipping sauces for our meat/veggies. The chef was great, it's just that he can only cook with what he's given. We asked if they had egg yolk sauce and you woulda thought we were talking another language. I would not recommend this place. Way over priced for the quality and taste...
I got the teriyaki chicken entree and a highlander sushi roll, so delicious! also my chef was an awesome and funny entertainer!
Unprofessional and inappropriate
Ate there last night and we tipped our waitress and or chef separately. We were the last couple in the restaurant and getting ready to leave and as we are leaving they started turning off light and we were cornered by 4 employees saying we didn’t tip enough that we needed to tip more.
We tipped the chef $20 and the waitress $20 separately. We actually over tipped but they did a great job until this BS. We will never eat there...read full review

Tomo Japanese Restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its hibachi grill, where the cook performs tricks with the food. The restaurant provides a variety of vegetarian options, including sushi rolls and a vegetarian hibachi option, and can accommodate most dietary restrictions. The food is generally good, with standout dishes like the steak and shrimp combination meal. However, some meals may have inconsistencies, as noted by customers who mentioned that some proteins were overcooked. Service can be rushed and short-staffed at times, as some guests reported delays in receiving their orders, including drinks. Despite these issues, the sushi is described as excellent, and the restaurant is considered kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible. For those looking for a fun and flavorful meal, Tomo remains a worthwhile option, though some diners prefer to sit at tables rather than the hibachi grills.
