However, I wanted to mention it as I think it could be beneficial to some other home roasters out there. That said, the quality of the green beans so far has been on par or better than other companies I’ve ordered from in the past.”

It started at 10, we arrived at 10:15 and by 10:25 they told us they were out of flights. There were still at least 5 tables and more bar seats open. Then 20 minutes later we saw people getting mimosa flights. I ended up ordering the mimosa bar which was too much champagne for me and they gave a very small carafe of orange juice. (Barely enough for 2-3 drinks) If you are having a brunch you should plan accordingly. I will be back but I hope things like this get figured out.”

The meat was so flavorful and tender, and the tortillas were fresh and soft. They even pile on the toppings like onions and cilantro, and the salsa they provide is delicious—the red one has a real kick! The portions are huge, and the prices are super reasonable. “My family traveled from Chicago to South Bend this weekend to pick up our service dog for my 5 year-old Autistic son. While the experience was amazing, my son struggled a bit with the trip, as he is very much a person of habit! He woke up Sunday morning asking for a cheeseburger. We scrambled to figure out where we could possibly get a cheeseburger at 8am, and we were excited to see a Burger King near our hotel. We packed up 4 kids and a service dog and headed over. We were quickly and kindly informed that lunch was not served until 11. I told the cashier I had an autistic kiddo in desperate need of a cheeseburger, and asked if she knew anywhere in the area I could get one. Another employee heard my situation and with no hesitation, swooped in said she will make him a cheeseburger. This woman went completely out of her way to help my son. She had a burger cooked and ready to go in minutes. She refused my money as I went to pay for it. When I thanked her profusely, she put her hand over her heart and told me so sincerely, “She understands”. Thank you to this wonderful woman for her kindness and compassion!”

“Stopped by the morning of 12/9/23 for a quick drive through breakfast and I have to say it was the most positive drive through experience I have ever had. I was 4 or 5 cars back in line and I don’t think I was in line for more than a couple minutes. Sandwich and coffee were great and the staff were extremely friendly, professional and efficient. This will undoubtedly be a Saturday morning staple for me on my way to work. Thank you and keep up the great work!”

“First time I walked into McCormick’s, a friend dragged me in for Daikaiju. Surf punk band. Kabuki masks. Fake names. The bar let them run the room. They set their instruments on fire and kept playing while they walked out the door and into the restaurant next door, crowd following like it was one long song. That night every kind of person in South Bend was in the same room and nobody was pretending. I left feeling like I had been standing in the middle of Chicago nightlife, except it was Michigan Street.
That is still the bar. People at McCormick’s are either hard-hitting South Bend regulars or ND kids looking for the wild-west version of downtown. If you are looking for upscale, modern, or a place that bends itself to whatever crowd walked in, this is not it. I call it a mug-face bar. Old drinking mugs used to have exaggerated faces painted on them. Walk in here and that is what you get: strange faces from every walk of life, all of them fully committed to the bar life for as long as the lights stay on.
I do not get the angry reviews. McCormick’s does not lie to you. Face value. It is what it is. Do not get mad at a dog for acting like a dog, and do not get mad at a saloon for being a saloon. Cheap drinks. Loyal locals. Unpretentious. After midnight it can get sharp around the edges, same as any real late-night room. Watch your surroundings. Nobody here is going to read your mind. Earned respect goes a long way.

“Visiting South Bend and this place was across the street from my hotel so I decided to try it. While standing there looking at the menu and trying to two decide what to get another customer told me I should try the ribs. So I ordered the half rack of baby back ribs and they were absolutely amazing! The sauce was delicious and the meat was just falling off the bone. They came with fries coleslaw and French bread as well and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend. I would like to go back and try some other menu items.”

“My wife and I had a delicious dinner at BB’s Indian Kitchen. The food is amazing. I hope anyone local to or visiting South Bend will try it out. You won’t be sorry. They specialize in South Indian cooking, while also offering the northern dishes more familiar to American diners. I had the Malabar fish curry, which I had only had once before when visiting Kerala which is where the recipe originates. I was not disappointed. The smoky flavor of the curry leaves and the creamy coconut sauce make for a flavor that is simply unlike anything else you may have tasted, and so if you are adventurous and like surprising your taste buds, you will love this. My wife had the Lamb tikka masala, one of those northern staples, but the version of it at this restaurant is so much better than any I remember having anywhere recently, if ever. When South Indians make northern dishes, they bring their own unique take on them and the result is something special. If you normally like this dish, order it here and you will be amazed. Anyplace that has big windows that let patrons see what is happening in the kitchen are places you can trust. The windows in the other direction give you a view of a path overlooking the river. If I lived in South Bend, this would be a place I would come to dine over and over again. If you’ve never been, you’re missing out on something really special!”

“Our food got mixed up some how in between bagging it first when handed off and they asked for it back to place more items in.
We called and a young gentleman who was very new was kind and asked me to wait for someone to give me clarification on how to handle the situation.
I want these workers to know I appreciate their patience, calmness and understanding.
We brought it back, this being about 30 minutes because 15 minutes drive home, 15 minutes to drive back and (told to bring bag back up).
Manager (possibly on duty not sure if he was the manager) seemed like he didn’t want to replace order, but he did.
I don’t like bringing food back, or complaining. It’s not who I am nor do I enjoy bringing things to people’s attention.
I give 4 stars- I appreciate you replacing the order not just the missing items. I never in any way want to be an inconvenience or seem like a swindler because IM NOT.

“We initally went in for some coffee..and somehow the cinnamon roll ended up being the real star of the the show :)
I wasn't expecting much more than a sweet little treat with our coffee , but WOW.This cinnamon roll was phenominal- warm,soft,buttery,gooey in ther center and packed with the right amount of sweetness. Every bite was the kind that makes you stop talking for second to fully enjoy delightful pastry. 10/10
We will be back to savor the flavor of this stupendeous cinnamon roll that I call pure heaven!!!”
