“I really like this bakery. Being from the area I usually stick to getting donuts from @longsbakery but I wanted something different and walked into a whole new world. If you can't tell by the name this is a Español speaking establishment. I am very limited in what I can speak but I was able to follow my nose with no problem. They have cakes and cookies and very beautifully designed baked goods of all kinds. My pick of the day which has since been bought again is this bread that has cream cheese and jalapeños inside. This was my first visit but I'd definitely go back.“

“My husband and I tried Amelia's for the first time this evening and loved it. The Iced Mocha Coffee is one of the best I've had. The brown butter blondie and the sweet and dark chocolate gelato were divine. Their hours 8am - 8pm is the perfect time. We most definitely will be back!“

“RUN DON'T WALK! This croissant is the perfect midday snack or on-the-go breakfast! I wish I remembered the name but it is a pillowy soft croissant with a flaky crust, topped with Swiss cheese, everything bagel seasoning and parsley - perfect item for a vegetarian or cheese-lover! Just absolutely gorgeous and mouth watering. This item was so flavorful with the salty Swiss cheese and who doesn't love everything bagel seasoning. I was too excited to try it right after purchasing but I bet it would be a base for an egg sammie. This might be my new weekly go-to treat! A must try!! Amelia's has lots of great other options too from buttermilk biscuits to sweet pastries to fresh baked breads to take home to daily sandwich specials. Staff is always so kind when I visit and helpful in answering questions for someone like me who is indecisive! Amelia's also doubles as a great study spot and pit stop for some unique grocery items!“

“This place is all about the baked items. It’s a grab and go bakery, no where to sit inside and no coffee, which is fine, Just an fyi for the reader. I was greeted by a very nice man, who asked what my plans were for the day. Grabbed the blueberry muffin, chocolate almond croissant, and the orange cinnamon roll. This place has done an amazing job with giving you a crunchy outside layer with a soft layered inside on the croissant, really good. I didn’t try my husbands muffin but he said it was good. Cinnamon roll also had some crunch, which is different from most cinnamon rolls I have had, but I really enjoyed the orange flavor, very yummy. There were so many other choices to make, that I will definitely be back very soon. I also thought the place was pretty affordable, which I appreciate because everything seems so expensive these days.“

“Finally made it to The Cheesecake Lady’s storefront yesterday (3/30) after rescheduling my drive for a couple weeks. To say that I was excited and satisfied is an understatement! Everything blew my expectations out of the water! I live about an hour away and nowhere near any of the wholesale locations but I may just start making the drive at least once a week to get my fix! “Coat Check Coffee I happened to stumble upon on a quick Yelp search and I'm so glad I did. I was in Indianapolis for less than 24 hours and I went twice! Staff was super friendly, it's a super chill vibe inside. I highly recommend the matcha latte and the cold brew. The cold brew was super strong kept me going all day for my event! “Still the best donuts in Avon!!!! My favorite is always the chocolate peanut butter!!! It is da bomb!!! Filled with so much ooey gooey goodness and definitely filling! They have decided to start selling coffee which I think was something they were always missing. Today I tried the large $6 cinnamon caramel macchiato and hot one too, you can definitely taste the cinnamon but it definitely needed more expresso,Not very strong at all which is what people want from a coffee. They have a full wall of salsas, pickled jalapeños and even jams. Service is always fantastic and if you want to stay awhile they have 3 cute tables set up!“

“This place is small but it manages to have seating inside and out along with food and fresh baked pastries and bread. I was excited to try the quesa birria and it did not disappoint. I did not get the dip but they were delicious. The meat was flavorful and melt in your mouth tender. I also got some Asada and chorizo tacos. Both were good but the chorizo one was amazing. I haven't tried them yet but I couldn't say no to the tamale's. They look like the traditional Mexican style. I will definitely be back.“

It's a place for coffee purists so if you want flavors and syrups, go to Starbucks. Not much in the food category, at least early in the day, but that's okay if you just need your morning fix!“

“Absolutely fascinating! The assortment and variety are best I've seen. Zillion of spices and spice blends. Produce looked great. Staff very friendly and helpful. I was a bit out of my element but needed a couple international spices. They quickly and kindly helped me find exactly what my recipes called for. More so, it was a joy cruising up and down aisles just looking at their food assortments, beautiful tea sets, and all the other lovely out-of-the-ordinary items. “Their pastries are delicious! Always made fresh daily. Huge variety of pastries and cookies!These took a hit during transportation home. But it doesn't change the flavor. The Bavarian creme pastry has smooth and creamy flavor while not being overly sweet. These donuts are huge compared to name brand donut places. The churros are filled with a raspberry jam (or what I believe is jam). Slightly tart but that what I want in a raspberry jam. The Danish has a glaze that gives the pastry a sweetness to satisfy any sweet tooth. And the cannoli has a sweet cream filling with each end being dipped chopped pecans topped with chocolate sauce. The cannoli itself is crisp. Great contrast of texture. Prices are very reasonable. They also sell cakes, which I look forward to trying someday.“

Given the one donut I had (raspberry filled), it was definitely better than your standard fare - good quality, maybe a little sweet but more personal preference, maybe a little small but overall a solid donut. I had a taste of the oatmeal raisin cookie too - which tasted homemade with the nutty oat flavors and a bits of salt - I could see it not being everyone's favorite but still a good cookie. Definitely didn't expect the place to be so sold out so early (as it seems many reviews are saying), but the eclipse crowd probably definitely contributed to the shortage. “What a tremendous value eating here for lunch is here as part of Ivy Tech's Culinary Training Program. For $20 per person, you get a 3-course meal of appetizer, entree and dessert. There are several choices for the first two courses and usually one or two items for dessert. Beer is as inexpensive as $2 and glasses of wine for $8 per glass or $15 for a bottle. Students are learning to run a restaurant from all aspects including the hostess station, servers, manager and cooks. Tables are set with white table clothes with nice plates and silverware. It's a very nice venue which decades ago was a Marriott Hotel restaurant. It's on the top penthouse floor with great views of the city from 3 sides. Very enjoyable.“

Our waitresses did a fantastic job of checking in with us. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and the dish was delightful. The serving size was plentiful enough for one to enjoy and take home for later. The shrimp was drenched in a lemon mint butter, leaving you craving more. I will note that there were a few items on the menu unavailable, but that did not stop the overall experience. “I absolutely love Nothing Bundt Cakes. I've been to three locations in Indiana and have had great service and cakes everytime. They have an online system where you can order ahead. If you're in the area, you can also call ahead to see if they have the flavor you want before you arrive. (I do this if it is late in the day or I'm looking for a specialty flavor.)My favorite is pumpkin spice. Unfortunately, it is a seasonal flavor. My favorite all-year flavor is the GF Chocolate Chip. It's denser than the others and just as delicious. All the other flavors I've tried were great too. Those cakes are super light. It's one of my favorite places to go.Vegetarian options: It's cake so they are all vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: They offer one gluten-free option that is delicious. Sadly, there is no vegan option.Parking: Great location with plenty of parking. There are spots specifically for their store. However, if they were ever full, there are plenty more.“
