“This little bar was a great find! Every time I am in Wanatah for work I try to stop here for a meal. The food is great! They have daily specials and they have homemade soups! Service is great and the other customers are friendly.”
“Impressive! The food, service, and atmosphere earned that 5 star rating. Very clean store.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility to the store is simple. The south and west entrance have ramps.”
“AYCE fried fish, but it isn't overly breaded. Great texture. Really great fish. I have never tried anything else on the menu. Service is hit or miss now with the new ownership. I haven't been there this year on account of COVID-19, but it's one of my grandparents' favorite places to go on a Lenten Friday.”
“When I went into the store for help dance off to win a free phone I had to decline because I didn't have my dancing shoes on. But Seriously the gentleman was very helpful”
“The Double Whopper is a classic burger from Burger King, and for good reason. It's a big, juicy burger with two flame-grilled beef patties, topped with lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, pickles, and onions. It's a satisfying meal that's sure to fill you up.I ordered a Double Whopper meal with fries and a medium drink. The burger was served hot and fresh, and the toppings were all fresh and crisp. The beef patties were cooked to perfection, and they had a great flavor. The bun was soft and slightly toasted, and it held up well to the weight of the burger. The fries were also good. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and they had a nice salty flavor. The medium drink was a good size, and it was refreshing to drink after eating the burger.Overall, I had a great experience with the Double Whopper meal. It was a satisfying meal that was well-made and delicious. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good burger. This BK is your spot”
“Yum, as always! Hummus was so delicious! Really appreciate the generous portions, especially in this economy. Great service!Vegetarian options: Many meatless optionsParking: Busy strip mall...parking spaces can be competitive.Kid-friendliness: Lots of room at this location”
“Not really a sweets fiend like my fam. But they def liked these. As expected, they are quite dear. Like $3 a cookie, I think. That super thick frosting like they dump on Lofthouse cookies is waaay too sweet for me.The monthly cookie highlight is a cool idea :)”
“It's a must go to place if you haven't been the rotating burger of the month is always interesting and delicious if you have been there is no reason you are reading this you are already on your way back ”
“Went today for the first time to order a birthday cake for my mom's 90th. Had checked out the website first, but didn't see the info I was looking for, and anyway, wanted to check out the baked goods before I committed. So glad I did! I had 2 of the cake pops, and they were both VG, although one was better than the other. The first was a banana bread type, and it was amazing. Then my husband had 2 donuts, a peanut butter cup donut and a cruller. He says the PB cup was just superb (I got a taste and the filling was to die for) and although the cruller was better than average he said, the PB donut was the star. We also had 2 pieces of cake (this is through the course of a day, mind you, not all at once). They were clever to advise me to wait 1 1/2 hours before eating, since it was in the refrigerated case at the front. I tried at 1 hour (being me) and the frosting was still a little cold, so I kept waiting to eat the rest. Yup, by 1 1/2 hours, it was at peak deliciousness. I had the chocolate with strawberries. Hubby had pistachio cake, but he didn't wait at all, and still rates it a good. If you look online, they have a wide variety of really yummy sounding cakes, and although it's a half hour away and doesn't really have room to dine in, there is a little parking, and Kouts isn't that busy anyway, certainly not on a Saturday when we went. Our taste test proved they are the right place to have the cake made. Love the owners. Very sweet and professional. Can't wait to try my Fat Elvis birthday cake! Yumbo.”
“WE DEVOURED THE PEACH CHEESECAKE! IT WAS THE MOST INCREDIBLE DELICIOUS DESSERT WE HAVE EVER HAD!!! Such a pleasure meeting the Great Maurice, too!! Seriously, we are already planning our next cheesecake! WHAT A PERFECT GIFT IDEA! Maurice, you WOWed us!!!!”
“Everything I tried was delicious.. Chile relleno sope what a great idea!!It's don't let the fact that there is a gas statissue attached to it deter you.”
“Search the area for Mexican food , hit the jackpot with Santo Taco ! Great friendly service and the food was so good . My husband had the Al Pastor street tacos and I had Birria con consome! Hands down best of both we’ve had !!”
“Absolutely delicious coffee. Some food options but you come to Dagger Mountain for the delicious coffee and the spacious, bright, airy, well decorated seating area. They always have good background music and it is a very relaxed environment. The regular baristas are always super friendly and greet everyone with a smile. I love this place, I go here almost everyday.”
“The salted Carmel cashew protein shake tastes like an actual milkshake. I asked for extra protein and then had to ask if there was actually protein in it. It didn't leave a weird chalky after taste that most protein shakes leave. It was delicious!”
“Best Prime Rib in the area. The portobello mushroom with crab is a delicious way to start the meal. Then select one of their butcher block or seafood options and end with one of several desserts. You can't go wrong ending with the chocolate covered cow. My daughter loves to pick Kelseys as her birthday meal.”
“I should have taken photos of the food but forgot! My daughter and I stopped in at a weird afternoon time while taking a break from shopping the outlet mall. The service was friendly, price was more than reasonable, and food was delicious! We had a pizza and breadsticks, both were great but those breadsticks are awesome! We will stop in again when in the area this summer.”
“This small place off calumet, or old 49, depending on how you remember Valpo, is a gem. It’s really small, so make reservations. The size also means it gets a little loud when it fills up, which it will. The menu is limited, changes weekly, and is delicious. I had a tasty salad and my wife kicked off with a soup she really liked (I can’t remember what she had). Then the main course came. I should point out that they have a butcher shop where you can Wagyu steak by the ounce, but it was $24 an ounce. Unless I could actually speak to the Wagyu cow and discuss Japanese Bovine American relations, it was just too steep for that evening. I did get the non-Wagyu filet, and it was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were good too. My bride got the Mahi Mahi, not usually a fish person, and she loved it. We will be going back. I should mention that the service was great. There is Joi Di Vie amongst the staff and it makes The Bait Shop a fun place to go.”
“Always have a great breakfast/brunch at Le Peep. Servers are attentive, as is management, and the food is always delicious. Had the lemon blueberry pancakes today, and they were phenomenal! ? ?”
“Excellent beer choices, but they do not serve food so either come only thirsty or make a night of it and grab dinner somewhere. Intimate setting and friendly staff. A wide range of beer selections and the flights are perfect to try them all! They also have themed trivia events that are also fun! There was a huge turnout for Friends trivia and I have never seen the place so packed! Out of the way, but a nice treasure trove once you find it!”
“I will not lie, I had low expectations. But, I was very wrong! The food was great, our servicer was amazing, and the place is really cool! Definitely check this place out?”
“Great food! Just strange situation. The 9pm time google has listed is incorrect. Was told when I called in at 8pm that the kitchen is probably closed for a sesame chicken to-go order . The hostess came back and asked if that’s all it would be. I said yes, just that one entree with a side of spinach. Apparently the spinach tipped the scale bc I was told they couldn’t do my order ?”
“Good sandwich. Got a diet Coke to drink and it was nothing but colored water. I let the service worker know about it, his reaction was , OH ok and that was all that was said. Dump the drink out had to get something else. That persons attitude was 0 on a 1- 10 scale. He really could care less if my drink was ”
“We hit this spot pretty often and they continue to keep things fresh by changing flavors pretty often and restocking the toppings. Several dairy free options as well.”
“I've lived in the area my whole life and just started visiting the Oasis. Let's start with the best part, the service! The ladies that work here usually get to know you pretty well! Your second visit they will ask if you want the same thing you had last time. To be fair, there's one young bartender that sits on her phone more than she works. But, I've been told you'll have that. She's nice but you find yourself waiting longer than you should for service. The food is hands down awesome! You wouldn't think it would be anything crazy but it's consistent and good every time we go in. My friends love the wraps, burgers and I'm a fan of really anything I've had there. The wait for the food isn't bad when you consider they have one person on staff that tends the bar, tables and food. Yes, it's a lot of fried foods, but the lettuce, tomatoes and other items are fresh! As far as the feel, or "ambiance"... it's a bar. It's an awesome small town bar feel where everyone that stops in probably knows one another. Everyone is friendly to one another and those from out of town are always welcomed. Stop in and give it a try.”
“I had a beef Cheddar and tried Chicago dog. The wife had Italian beef, and they really needed more mozzarella on her sandwich. Otherwise, both of us enjoyed our food. We will return to this establishment. Felt prices were reasonable.”
“A friend of mine lives near here. Been here quite a few times to eat. This is a hidden gem for food. Service is great, the atmosphere is calm, just a nice place to have a good meal and some drinks.”
“Best gyros around!!Flavor is just the same as when Gus and Mike owned it!! I had the chicken gyro and it was a blast back to my childhood how Gus and his wife used to make it for me!!!”
“Never disappoints. I see new faces in there all the time, but the food quality stays the same. Delicious, hot and fresh. Everytime. I’ve never had a bad experience in the decade + that I’ve gone here. My go to always!”
“The owner personally introduced himself and helped us walk through the ordering process in the menu explained all the restaurants and some of the best dishes this is an absolutely amazing place with absolutely for large variety of different ordering options perfect for ”
“Order was take-out. As always, the experience was superb. Called in order, Pizza was perfect as ordered and piping hot out of the oven exactly on time. Taste was scrumptious. Will return many times in future. Would recommend to all.Parking: Very large parking adjacent to restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Nice medium sized dining are area. Just recently remodeled.Wheelchair accessibility: Large ramp just inside front door.”
