While the menu may not be huge, the flavor certainly is! With ten of us dining in I think we tried just about everything on the menu and we were all extremely pleased with what we ate. So this is my first time here, these are the same people that owned the Mexican inn in South Chicago a place I used to go with my grandmother when I was a boy. Same food delicious! The owner was very cordial with the sweetheart Grandma style cook in the back who reminded me of my own grandmother. Great atmosphere here they do not serve liquor yet but they do have plenty of beers and they even serve the old school Mexican Coca-Cola that has the real sugar in it. Cute atmosphere. However The food is blah and quite pricey for what you do get. They do not have any extra vegetable options. No guacamole at the taco dive:(. They serve the beans and rice in styrofoam. Yikes! It’s not recyclable and just ends up in the landfill.I am from the region though and now live on the west coast where I am spoiled with good food options. Didn’t surprise me for the region.
