“When we entered Girard, Kansas, at 6 a.m., we were on our way from Houston to Overland Park, KS. While driving through downtown, we noticed an open eatery, so we stopped.
The food was good and abundant: pancakes, french toast, eggs, bacon, hot chocolate, and coffee were hot and fresh. All this was enough to give five stars to EastSide Café. However, it was Amber's friendliness that blew us away. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. She is one of a kind and a strong reason to go to EastSide Café.”

“The food was great, the place was clean, the employees were kind and considerate, and the manager with the short colored hair and glasses was hilarious. Been to thousands of subways but it's always nice to walk into a place where they're quick, capable, funny, easy to talk to, and clean. They do NOT skimp on toppings. For SURE come here if you want a good sandwich. I think some of the reviews were honestly just people who wanted to be mad about something because I have never experienced a bad time here.

“I love The Mall Deli. I go there quite often with my husband, mom and sister. My mom always gets their chili without beans. She loves it. I have gotten it a few times with beans. It is great. The chef salad is really good also. The sandwiches are great. They are fast at seating you and taking your order. The staff is friendly. They make you feel welcome. The place is clean. You can't go wrong at The Mall Deli .... We love it !!!!”

They were able to answer my questions about pour overs, their roasted coffees, and differences between their brewed coffees. (I went with a plain latte and am hooked with coffee that isn't basically a candy bar in a cup.)
