“So, I tried this little place for the first time as a part of a "cash mob" designed to support the business as a result of some street closings that had really.hurt their traffic. I am so glad I went! The food was amazing, the al pastor street tacos with their green sauce were fantastic, the rice and beans were perfect, the chile relleno street tacos were a surprise. All in, just great food. The service took a while but that was because of the cash mob, there was a line out the door, all their seating was full and its not a very place to begin with but even then, once they took our order it was only about 8-10 minutes for our food to be prepared. It's a small, family operated place and you can see right into the kitchen where the cooks are doing everything from chopping fresh onions to making tortillas to order, right there with an old stamped metal tortilla press. All together, I will definitely return and you should try it too!”

“We had a great first experience at Hickory Stik. My husband got the St. Louis style ribs and they were super tender, falling off the bone. He enjoyed the potato salad and the portions were huge. I got the loaded baker with pulled pork and it was delicious. The cheese curds were also a great addition. Jacob took care of us and he was very informative and attentive. The owner of this restaurant is lucky to have him. We have been to many many barbecue restaurants around the country and think of ourselves as pretty picky. We definitely recommend Hickory Stik and we will be back.”

“I go here whenever I'm in town to meet up with a good friend in the area. Great place for that - comfortable chairs & couches, good for conversation. Had a few tables and people studying, but spacious and spread out enough that you don't feel like you're disruptive for having a lively discussion. I've just had coffee, chai, and a smoothie once, all top tier. They had a variety of baked goods that looked delicious, and an evolving menu besides the staples you'd expect. Great place, what a code shop should be.”

Parking: The only fallback was that there is no way to get in there except climbing up a big curb. There is handicapped parking with ramp access but its quite a ways from the door. They need a ramp for drop offs at the door.”

“I had placed a mobile order rather late and found that others had done the same. The food did take a long while to get to the window, however, the skeleton crew in the restaurant was doing their best. They delivered my food to the window correct on every count, and was all super fresh. I wish I could have gotten their names because while that could have been a mess, they brought their best.”

“Hello! December 31st, 2025 I was rushing.. more like speeding 🤫 to get to Holly’s Sweet Treats before they closed. Not realizing what time it was, I attempted to open the door to the bakery and sadly it was 5:03pm and the door was locked. Holly and her team were in there cleaning away. She opened the door and said “I am sorry, but we are closed” I was sad to hear that and asked “Oh darn, I rushed down here to get your sweets to end the year, by chance do you have anything left you didn’t sell- I will pay!” Holly looked and handed me 4 delicious cupcakes for FREE.. she didn’t have to, I wanted to pay but she gave them to me free from charge. 🥹 Thank YOU so much for doing that, it really made my whole day and it was such a great way to end the year- happy and full of your sweets. Brahm's Splits put these to shame. The lady who made it put Split in lid of package and not base with lid on it. Was in a rush. Don't know why. No one there. Very sad mess. She needs training or retraining.”

“We came out to eat this morning with our family from out of town, and we had never even heard of this until last night. We were served amazing breakfast food. The waiter was great and attentive. My two-year-old had the number one on the kid's meals, and they loved it. My husband had biscuits and gravy, and I had a very large-sized breakfast burrito. The pancakes were almost as big as the plate! The eggs and hashbrowns were cooked to perfection. I definitely want to come back and try that banana bread french toast special! :) The atmosphere was great, and one of the kids who worked there explained to us the restaurant's history. Such a great worker!”

I was in the area for work and had a craving for a steak. Sure, Texas TBone says they're the best around but are they? Being from Houston, and not to brag, I have had plenty steaks at 5 star restaurants, local dives and grill up steaks regularly. Believe me when I tell you that the ribeye at Texas TBone was all but perfect! I have to say it could of used a bit more seasoning but the steak itself was juicy, tender and full of that good grilled flavor. I sat near the bar as it was just me so service was so-so and the atmosphere was hopping for a Tuesday night with lots of families.

If you're passing through the area, or like me who was staying up in McPherson, do yourself a favor and have their ribeye. Thanks TTB for literally being the best meal I had in central KS all week!”

The service was friendly, but the staff seemed overwhelmed at times, which resulted in slower service. The atmosphere was nice and the space was clean, but it felt a bit noisy during the peak hours. With some improvements in service organization and flavor consistency, this restaurant could offer a truly remarkable dining experience. I’m open to giving it another try in the future.”

“It is a rather unassuming place and I didn't think I'd ever eat here. Saw a bunch of recommendations for the place so finally decided to try it. They specifically say they don't add MSG to the food. They cook the food right there rather than having a buffet type, like subway. The food was amazing. Some of it could have used more spice, but it could have also just been what it was supposed to be. Y the snow white chicken was super tender and pretty light on spices. Mongolian beef was really flavorful. The cooked food was very hot. It seemed healthier than a lot of Chinese places.

The only negative thing I could find was that the floor was sticky and one of the tables could have been cleaner.

There are options for dine in our take out. Seating is sufficient, but could get crowded if several folks decided to eat in. We had two meals plus a couple appetizers for about $26. We'll be back for sure!”

THE MANAGER WAS DOUNG SOMETHING PAPERWORK WISE IN A BOOTH FAR AWAY FROM THE ORDER COUNTER AND SHE WAS PAYING BERY GOOD ATTENTION WHEN I STARTED ASKING ON OF HER WORKERS AND SHE STOPPED WHAT SHE WAS DOING AND CAME CLOSER SO SHE COULD HEAR ME AND ASKED ME WHAT ALL I COULDNT HAVE AND RE-ASSURED ME SHE'D CHECK OVER THE LABELS FOR THE DOUGH THAT THEIR WRAPS ARE MADE OUT OF AND SHE WAS JUST VERY COMPASSIONATE TO MY SITUATION AND A SWEET LADY”

“This place is AMAZING. I just moved to KS from MN 2 weeks ago. We were in Hutchinson shopping for home supplies. We'll, I was starving and Google "gluten free food", I have celiac. And Firehouse popped up. I risked it,not knowing the actual safety, and I wasn't disappointed!!! I've ordered about 4 to 6x in 2 weeks and have had zero negative reactions. I absolutely LOVE this place. I HIGHLY recommend. ❤. They're efficient,quick, affordable and the taste is like none other!!”

“The evening / night crew at this location are killing it! I will admit I have went a few nights in a row because they make those fries so fresh and so hot that you can't even touch them for a bit. I don't think I've ever had fries that fresh at any other location. The rest of the food is nicely put together and hot, as well. The staff is always super polite. There's a younger man with blonde hair and glasses that works the window and he is amazing with customer service!”
