“We had a gift card and feared ALL KC locations would close soon and not just the one north of the river in KC. Date night extraordinary is what it was... We had the best Bonefish meal and service that we've ever had. We recognized one of the servers from our northland location and caught up with her. Emma was our server, and she was both delightful and attentive. She made our experience the best in about 18 years of going to the Bonefish located north of the river. Our meal and bar drinks were excellent. My wife even allowed me to sip each drink of her martini flight and ALL were excellent. Great job for the restaurant, particularly the cooks and our waitress Emma.“

“We (Me, wife, and daughter) were there for lunch. My wife and I shared The Pig Flatbread and ordered my daughter fries and chicken tenders. We flatbread was delicious! My daughter normally doesn’t eat anything from a restaurant except fries or bread. We tried the chicken tenders just in case she changed her mind. She tried the chicken along with their housemade ketchup, which she typically rejects sauce, and she loved it. We ordered drinks and they were good too. The chef/owner greeted us at the end which was a nice end to lunch. Our waiter and hostess were great as well. Overall, it was a five star experience!“

The stuffed mushrooms were the best I’ve ever had, cooked to perfection with a garlic pesto stuffing and butter sauce. The blackened salmon was perfect. The relish they add to the top is spicy and tangy but just enough to complement the salmon. The bed of mashed potatoes were so creamy and rich. The crusted shrimp added another highlight to an amazing dish.“

“Not sure what the theme for this restaurant was, but I had the impossible burger, and I was deeply impressed. I have been a beef eater, all my life. This burger was amazing. Would recommend trying it if you were curious. The staff was amazing, I can't remember the waitress name now, it was one of those 'like this city name but without the last letter's people. “We met some friends there who had been there previously and recommended it. The food was pretty good, but because the walls are ceramic tile and the floor is concrete the place is very noisy. There were some children in there that were pretty loud and their voices echoed. So we didn't like that, but the food was good and we enjoyed that along with seeing friends that we hadn't seen in a while. My wife had three different tacos, one of which was the avocado and it was really good. I had the surf and turf burrito with rice and it was one of the better ones I've had in Kansas City. Not sure we'll be back just because the noise. The outside ordering window is unique and if it would've been a little warmer, we would've sat outside and it would've been just fine. I will say that the staff was VERY friendly and VERY helpful.“

We came in after shopping at Menards and to our surprise everyone we saw were dressed in "comfortable clothes", so we didn't feel like we had to be dressed up. The atmosphere was laid back. We eat out a LOT but live at the south end of Overland Park so we don’t frequent the Plaza often, but wanted to try something new for our anniversary. Our waiter, Ryan, and his sweet assistant, were very attentive and the food arrived well timed. I ordered the Blackened Snapper and it was incredibly delicious!! My husband ordered the Sea Bass and loved it. We both said we would 100% order those meals again. We also had wedge salads which were served super cold and were yummy. For dessert we were so nicely treated to a towering carrot cake with pineapple sauce which was very tasty! As we were dining, we were trying to think of other places we’ve eaten with equal level of service/food and it reminded of us the Goldrush Steakhouse at Madonna Inn. “My boyfriend and I LOVE micheladas, it is our thing. So we set out to find the best ones in town. I had seen people I know post about it so we decided to try it out. and oh my gosh. these are the BEST in town. They are very authentic. You can get them to go which is cool and also they come in a big cup with chamoy on the side. They put the right amount of beer and other ingredients, they just do it right every time. My bf and I always get regular michelada with the dried meat on it and it tastes really good. The workers are always super nice to attend to us and make our drinks very fast. There is always people when we go in just chilling with their friends and it is a chill place to just have a drink. They also serve fruit with tajin and other things that are fruit with lime and tajin/ spicy. for sure recommend for an authentic michelada!“

“We had our wedding and celebration at The Summit Grill in Lee’s Summit last night. WOW!!! I cannot give this place and their employees enough kudos. Shana, the event coordinator was exceptional and very responsive. The food was so good….everyone raved about how much they loved it. We did an appetizer buffet and chose a veggie tray, spin dip, chicken wings, chicken sliders, cheeseburger sliders and steak street tacos. The two dedicated bartenders we had were the very best! We had the back bar and outdoor area with a fire pit. It was above and beyond what we expected. I give this place the highest recommendation for any event. Also, their happy hour can’t be beat! “I typically like to mix it up and get something I haven't had before or haven't had recently. But I went with Butter Chicken, medium spice level, and garlic naan. I am so glad I did. They were wonderful. The lunch serving size was adequate for two people. An order of garlic naan was 2 full pieces cut in half, making 4 good sized pieces. The spice level was perfect. At many places, it's difficult to tell garlic naan from regular naan. That is not the case at Spice n Rice. Plenty of garlic on these. I decided to eat the entire meal instead of taking half home, as it was so good, but in the future, one plate of food is plenty for two people, especially when purchasing naan in addition.Service was very quick and friendly. On the negative side, the waitress was so attentive that it seemed she was watching me eat. I would suggest that they try to strike a balance between attentive and watching too closely.“

My steak that I ordered was a 16 oz ribeye with blue cheese potatoes and mushroom pan roast. Everything was cooked to perfection and the meal was extremely satisfying.
