“Our server, Elijah, was great. He paced the meal well and did not rush us. The food was well prepared. One in our party had the swordfish special. The other had the shrimp scampi which was flavorful as well. Sitting on the enclosed back patio with the fire pit was a nice touch as well as the band that was playing music that was not too loud either. This restaurant is fits in between a standard grill and an upscale restaurant. The restaurant was fairly busy both weekday evenings that were there, but we didn’t have to wait for the staff to put together seating for our group. Other than switching up sweet and unsweetened teas we had no issues and they were accommodating for the children’s special requests. We would eat here again if we are in the area. “We haven't had such a fantastic experience in a restaurant in so long, I forgot what it feels like. We were promptly seated by the hostess, and she was friendly. Our waitress was great and was very polite and attentive. I'll never get tired of having a refill for my drink set down in front of me before I have to ask. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed the decor. I was glad we were almost finished when they sat a couple at the table next to ours, because it is a little close and you're right in each other's conversation. I got the salmon bruschetta to start, and it was so good. Everything tasted so fresh, and the flavors blend beautifully. My girlfriend got the French onion soup, and that looked amazing. She said it tasted really good. We both ordered the filet mignon, and she wanted hers medium rare, and I wanted mine cooked medium. While both steaks were excellent, neither one was cooked as requested, and both were pretty rare. I'm going to let that slide, since everything else was so good. The smoked Gouda Mac and cheese is so damn good, I want the recipe. It's very creamy and delicious. The Brussels sprouts with bacon were excellent and I could eat a bowl of just that. We will definitely be back, and totally understand all the accolades now. Two thumbs up.“

“Decided to stop here on our trip with our 2 kids, 5 and 3. The staff were all very friendly and the food and beer were great. We used the QR code to order food and drinks from my phone and it worked great. We tried the dill pickle pizza and the kids had chicken tenders and fries, and it was all fantastic. The staff brought our kids a paper with a scavenger hunt on it. It was not easy, even for an adult, but my kids loved it and it gave them something to do. I found myself looking around for the stuff just as much as my kids. The owner ended up helping us find a couple of the items and he was super friendly and talked to us for a bit. Opened about a year ago from the neighbors next door (Lalo), this place is a hidden gem.We ordered the skewers (one each) of the chicken, the chino tacos, the tornado potatoes and the banh mi with cucumber salad. There are so many great burger combos to try, but you need to try either the GFat or the simple PBJ. Across their menu you'll find other sneaky good options like the tacos or the pear salad, but the burgers are the core of why you seek out Gordos. Service can be a little slow, especially when it gets busy, but you can often find this place to be fairly open unless it's a Xavier game day. Helpful to know: Park to the left side of the building in the odd looking lot. The right side of the building parking is owned by a different building/business. On nice days, see if you can sit in the back patio. It's a little oasis from the noisy of Norwoods main drag.“

My 5 year old son was on the wild side that day and employee Lester was absolutely amazing with him! I even accidently left my debt card there after checking out and Lester found me on facebook and sent me a message that i had left my debt card so i could pick it back up! I also bought a bag of their local wheat bread flour, that i am experimenting on trying to figure out a good recipe to use it for. (first time bread maker, so idk what i am doing) If i could change anything, it would be to add a recipe to the bread mix! I also think that they should look into selling fresh dried spices/herbs for seasoning! their food is absolutely amazing! so fresh and so nice knowing that its local meats/veggies. “Tried Lana's Diner for the first time. Time of our visit came just after their lunch rush. It was obvious they had been busy and at the moment of our arrival, there was only one server waiting tables. While there was a little wait, it was understandable why. The one server, though overwhelmed, did not allow the circumstance to rattle her or keep her from pushing on to take care of customers. I was impressed by how she worked her job without letting her job work her. Her attitude remained polite and helpful to those she was serving. Food was very good and was presented as quickly as was reasonably possible. It was good service considering the circumstance. I give Lana's 5 Stars We will be back!!
