I have been a vegetarian for almost 60 years. Indian and Thai are my favorite foods to go out for. I live at the far end of town from Taj, but the food is worth the drive. I must pass several Indian restaurants to get there and it is worth it. Several of the reviewers on this site are probably connected to other local Indian restaurants and therefore give poor reviews. That is a shame.
I love pakora, and this was one of the best I’ve ever had. Very generous portion.The eggplant main dish was also very good.Service was very nice. The host and the server were both very friendly and helpful.Vegetarian options: I was pleasantly surprised about the menu’s organization, which listed the vegetarian options in their own prominent section. We love Taj. Used to go weekly, but now that we've moved we even make special trips to lex just for it. The owners are amazing people, the food is delicious, and the portion size for price is spot on!Shahi paneer korma is my absolute favorite and the garlic Naan is to die for.
