“Turgeau’s is my favorite restaurant to go to that eases my worry about cross contamination for food allergies. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about allergies and does everything possible to prevent contamination. It is a cozy atmosphere with very friendly owners and staff. It is my #1 choice for places to eat and to be able to sit down and have a delicious meal. Definitely worth the drive from Hammond.“
“One of our favorite places to get a healthy option for lunch. I prefer the egg salad sandwich and the shrimp remoulade and avocado salad is also one of our favorites. It makes it difficult to want to make the drive on the few days they are open bc I can’t even expect them to be open when they are supposed to. “There is absolutely nothing fancy or super innovative about this place, but it is a real staple in our community. The baked goods are nice quality and the service is fantastic. The prices are also very reasonable. I love their shoe soles and their donuts are pretty great too. They're filled. King cakes are especially delicious.“
“Saia's has an excellent old school meat market where you can get steaks cut to order along with homemade sausages and hard to find items like rabbit. I went in a couple of days ago and got the butcher to cut me a 24oz Prime porterhouse for my wife's birthday and the damned thing came out like butter. Pretty good booze selection and the deli does poboys and old fashioned fried chicken including Gizzards! I recommend the place for all of your meat, booze and fried chicken needs.“

“The staff is so incredibly nice and friendly. We take our kids here often, and it’s always an enjoyable experience, but today the workers really went above and beyond. I wish I caught the names, but overall I have had a pleasant experience with the entire staff. Really recommend this location!Kid-friendliness: They surprised our kiddos with Cafe du Monde hats, and are so kind and willing to chat with our rambunctious toddlers.“
“I placed an order for my daughter’s baby shower and everything was perfect! They recreated the toppings from a picture I gave them and they were right on point. So moist and delicious! The macaroons disappeared before I had a chance to sample so that says it all. I would order again and highly recommend. I might stop for one next time in Covington!“

“I love coming here as a little treat. I really like the snickerdoodle and recently they had Reese’s peanut butter and chocolate, which I had to try. Delicious. They stay so moist, even if I buy a few too many and they must wait their turn in my fridge.“

“The donuts are best in town. The burgers are hit and miss. Most of the time they have zero onions on them. That's what makes them so good. Very in consistent. And disappointing. Love the place. Just won't get burgers anymore. I still support them.“

“Held a 60th Anniversary party for my parents, and we ordered a two tier cake from Maple Street Bakery. It was absolutely delicious and simply beautiful. The top tier was chocolate cake with praline filling, the bottom was almond cake, and was frosted with almond buttercream. We received so many compliments - highly recommend!!“
