I know I paid a convenience fee by picking it up from PJ's, but $32 for what appears to be a small King Cake is crazy. I'm guessing it ranges about $25-$27 in the actual bakery for this size. Onto the taste, it was amazing, I've never had a blueberry King Cake before and loved the flavor. I didn't taste as much of the cream cheese, but I was definitely satisfied with the blueberry flavor and the cake itself's flavor. It's a very good King Cake for sure.“

We have a long drive, so I selected a steamed char sui bun, Pate Chaud, meat pie, Crawfish pie, coconut macaroons, mochi, and a pineapple bar. Omg, the Crawfish pie! It had so much filling, Crawfish, bamboo shoots, scallions, and seasonings I'm not sure of, but it was very spicy and delicious! I'm trying to find a recipe for it in my Vietnamese cooking group, because Google turned up nothing. The Pate Chaud was delicious too, but not as much filling as I wanted. The coconut macaroons were amazing, and surprisingly made without sweetened condensed milk, but you would never know that except for the ingredient list. The pineapple bar was not too sweet, as it looked, perfect for me. The mochi were delicious, with the all familiar chew. Have two more pies to sample, but I have no doubt they will be delicious too!“

“We came across Bread Fo Tha Soul at the local farmers market on Thursdays by Parkway. He was offering samples and that was so fantastic! We tasted the sweet potato bread which I will buy next time, as well as, the olive rosemary and the tomato basil... each cost $13 but we got them and are eating our hearts out! First off... we made a tomato basil bread grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup!!! Just do it! And then we did it again the next night... so yeah... one loaf has made 6 thick sliced sandwiches (12 slices) and we have enough left for 2 more smaller sized. Totally worth it... if I'm paying a higher price then it's gotta be worth it and it is... so now I gotta find the best sandwich for the olive rosemary... maybe something with lamb.... But I'm thinking of doing a fresh mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes with balsamic drizzle and more olive oil. And I may cut some up and make some croutons for a salad. But grilling it with some butter was the first thing I did and it was delish!“
