So many wonderful things I could not sample everything but here are my favorites 1. The eggs Benedict … this delicious golden yolk cascaded down, mingling with the silky thyme hollandaise to infuse into the soft English muffin…. Absolute delish!!! 2. The shrimp and grits …. Perfectly cooked spicy shrimp with Gouda grits was a testimony to why southern Louisiana cuisine reigns supreme …. And the Monica sauce elevates it to elegance while still your tummy is pampered with down home comfort. 3. The fried fish! This is a chef’s secret because it was not traditional fried fish. Whatever the secret, it delivered scrumptiousness in every crispy tender bite! Oh and don’t forget the homemade tartar sauce! 4. …… and the perfectly cooked Prime Rib! with the amazing horseradish sauce to complement … definitely a show stopper 5. The ambiance…. The service as always great …..Which seems to be part of the family atmosphere….. and the soft jazz …..taking it from just dining with family to Mother’s Day memories”

“Great place for an evening hang out. I'm a craft beer guy, and this place does offers a good selection of local crafts, though its all cans and bottles. The ambiance felt "just right" for me, with its balance of dark lighting, soft and squishy chairs, and the chatter of conversation all around you. The bartender seemed attentive and accommodating. If were a local, I'd come here more often.”

“We didn't have a reservation but they got us a table no problem. Our waiter was Jeffrey and he was so good! We got the Allegro Moscato which was delicious! Appetizer: The wedge salad, Shrimp Alexandria and the crab cakes were all sooo delicious! Entree: Salmon (good) and 8oz filet (dry) with whipped mashed potatoes (delicious). Dessert: Chocolate cake and cheesecake (mediocre).”

Our host was very helpful and helped setup whatever I needed, she even blew up my balloons with helium (I was shocked , didn’t know they did that.) will definitely recommend to anyone in the future! “Jeremiah the manager is FANTASTIC. My husband and I recently lost our daughter and months after my husband tried taking me to Hana in Alex to brighten my spirits. We were sat at a busy table with 5 little children two of which were babies. The restaurant was PACKED there was no way to switch tables. We had a wait for 2 hours to begin with. I tried to tough it out but it was too much and I had a panic attack. Of course my triggers and emotional state is not the fault of the family nor the establishment. However it was so severe and embarrassing we had to leave before our food was brought out and cooked. My husband spoke with the manager letting him know we needed to leave and he was very kind. He even told us when we are ready to let him know and he'd be happy to welcome us back. Well two months later I was and he sat us all by ourselves and made sure we had an amazing time. Our waiter and chef were amazing too. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the manager and the kindness he showed us!”

The black bean dip was better to me with the chips than the salsa. The service was fantastic also. I know people were thinking "Another Mexican restaurant? Doesn't this area have enough of them already?" But, this place is a step up in class and menu selections.”

“I love getting a frozen coffee with no flavor and whichever muffin I am in the mood for in the mornings. Every time I come you guys nail it! Everything is fresh and the taste is next to none. On top of the price point being perfect! This morning, I was heading to run an errand and since I was on the other side of town I thought I would make a stop at another local coffee shop off Versailles to save some time. Let me just say it was the worst idea ever. Their muffin was definitely store bought and had a lasting taste of cardboard. The frozen coffee had huge ice chunks on top of tasting like water. I ordered a small because I knew this was my first time trying them. The small frozen coffee and cardboard muffin was more expensive than your medium, perfectly blended, fresh, frozen coffee and your supper tasty homemade muffin. I am forever a loyal customer to little cakes! I came back across town because I couldn't go without my favorite coffee and muffin combo!!”

All the sides looked wonderful, and between the two of us, hubby and I sampled the mashed potatoes, rice, gravy, green beans, Mac and cheese, mustard greens, and yams. “Wildwood is our weekly go-to. Location is perfect. Pepperoni and The Hawaiian are our favs. Consistent recipes, perfect portion sizes, polite staff, great business hours, quick service, delicious food, variety of beer/wine options, relaxed ambiance, Celiac friendly, bakery next door! We like to bring our pup to have a nice dinner every Friday, but with it being Lent we aim for the Monday night special. The staff have ALWAYS offered to bring out a water bowl. Absolutely recommend!”

“If you go, give your tip directly to your server in cash and tell them it's not a tip, but a gift. Koal's pays their employees weak pay and acts like they're doing them a favor. Multiple employees over the years have told me Koal's keeps the tips we pay for the servers to have saying that the employees can have them if they want to make $2 an hour. Love the food there, but I won't support them after finding this out.”

“My family loved to talk to me about how good this place is and after trying it myself I can say it isn't half bad. It's very authentic and the establishment has a nice vibe despite its size and location. The workers are nice despite the language barrier and you can tell they care about their food. The menu was a bit much and the prices are extremely overtuned for what they're serving and I found myself somewhat surprised upon seeing it. Also inside the establishment there wasn't much accessibility atleast not for my group at the time of entering; the tables are extremely small there were no napkins or tissues present so eating inside was overall a messy uncomfortable experience but admittedly it made me feel at home in a way. I'm guessing it isn't always like this since some pictures show napkins but I digress. Overall I do recommend coming here if you want homemade authentic Mexican cuisine prepared by hardworking cooks. Note: Their chips were superb and had they have the best beans I've eaten at a Mexican establishment. ¡Excelente!”

But, when even fast food is way more expensive than 1 hour someone earns on min. wage in LA, it's not the type of restaurant I want to repeatedly visit. People better get their values straight during these tough times and force merchants to lower their prices to a reasonable level.”

“I got the Maki Roll Lunch special which came with a salmon roll, spicy tuna, and California roll. Fish was fresh, food came out fast. The issue was that the rice was not sushi rice (usually flavored with sugar, mirin, etc;) but just plain white jasmine rice that was a little bit too dry to be used for sushi. The ratio of fish to rice is also not great, too much rice.
The rolls were also cut into uneven pieces, with some too thick. Honestly I picked off all the rice and just ate the inside of the rolls.

The service was good, food came fast. Large portions. It’s clean inside. I would probably just order sashimi next time.

Salmon roll- 4/5 due to freshness of salmon. Rice sucked.

California roll- 2/5. Rice ruined it. Some pieces too thick.

Spicy tuna roll-1/5. Horrible rice. The spicy tuna also had a weird flavor and was not enjoyable.”

“Very up to date, Jetson style...complete with robot server and all..no joke. Robotic tray about 4 and a half ft tall came to our table...almost, it ran out of batteries and didn't make it all the way to us. Hey it was a good try though.”

“This place was good. My husband had the shrimp etouffee and it was really good. I had the boudin burger and it was okay, I wouldn't get it again. We will definitely try some different options next time we are in the area. The AC wasn't working good which was disappointing after riding on the back of motorcycle for a few hours in 90° weather.”

“Mother's Day 2024 was much first visit there. I entered a contest by writing an essay about my Mom ( my biological mom has been deceased for years, so I wrote about my spiritual Mom (pastor's wife) and I won a sack of crawfish with fixings for her! She was over the moon happy. The meal was amazing! When the cooler was opened, you could smell a balance of seasonings. The customer service was amazing! Cheyenne is so nice. We had a great conversation! My family looks forward to eating meals from Debarge's again!”
