Having said that; their seasonals & the new releases are outstanding. So many wonderful things I could not sample everything but here are my favorites 1. The eggs Benedict … this delicious golden yolk cascaded down, mingling with the silky thyme hollandaise to infuse into the soft English muffin…. Absolute delish!!! 2. The shrimp and grits …. Perfectly cooked spicy shrimp with Gouda grits was a testimony to why southern Louisiana cuisine reigns supreme …. And the Monica sauce elevates it to elegance while still your tummy is pampered with down home comfort. 3. The fried fish! This is a chef’s secret because it was not traditional fried fish. Whatever the secret, it delivered scrumptiousness in every crispy tender bite! Our host was very helpful and helped setup whatever I needed, she even blew up my balloons with helium (I was shocked , didn’t know they did that.) will definitely recommend to anyone in the future! “Jeremiah the manager is FANTASTIC. My husband and I recently lost our daughter and months after my husband tried taking me to Hana in Alex to brighten my spirits. We were sat at a busy table with 5 little children two of which were babies. The restaurant was PACKED there was no way to switch tables. We had a wait for 2 hours to begin with. I tried to tough it out but it was too much and I had a panic attack. Of course my triggers and emotional state is not the fault of the family nor the establishment. However it was so severe and embarrassing we had to leave before our food was brought out and cooked. My husband spoke with the manager letting him know we needed to leave and he was very kind. He even told us when we are ready to let him know and he'd be happy to welcome us back. Well two months later I was and he sat us all by ourselves and made sure we had an amazing time. Our waiter and chef were amazing too. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the manager and the kindness he showed us!”

Whether you are hungry for a salad, appetizer, dessert, entree, or all of the above, Walk-On’s has the best variety and most delicious food! Personal favorites: spinach & artichoke dip, lemon butter chicken, ribeye po-boy (extra garlic aoli), and chocolate chip cookie sundae. This review would not be complete without a shout-out to my favorite, friendly servers and managers: Kip, Chris, Maddie C and Jacob S - ALWAYS attentive, efficient, and kind! Multiple employees over the years have told me Koal's keeps the tips we pay for the servers to have saying that the employees can have them if they want to make $2 an hour. Love the food there, but I won't support them after finding this out.”

“I love getting a frozen coffee with no flavor and whichever muffin I am in the mood for in the mornings. Every time I come you guys nail it! Everything is fresh and the taste is next to none. On top of the price point being perfect! This morning, I was heading to run an errand and since I was on the other side of town I thought I would make a stop at another local coffee shop off Versailles to save some time. Let me just say it was the worst idea ever. Their muffin was definitely store bought and had a lasting taste of cardboard. The frozen coffee had huge ice chunks on top of tasting like water. I ordered a small because I knew this was my first time trying them. The small frozen coffee and cardboard muffin was more expensive than your medium, perfectly blended, fresh, frozen coffee and your supper tasty homemade muffin. I am forever a loyal customer to little cakes! I came back across town because I couldn't go without my favorite coffee and muffin combo!!”

“I have gotten 2 cakes from here before. 2 years ago for a last minute wedding cake order and one recently for my mom’s birthday. They were so kind to do our wedding cake order last minute and we told them to do whatever they can since it was short notice. It came out so good and people still bring up how good our wedding cake was til this day!! We recently ordered a chantilly this past weekend for my mom’s birthday and it was so good. I knew it would be from how much I have heard about it! Best bakery in town, will definitely be returning!”

She explained the menu, we purchased items like a couples meal...not named that...ahaha but we were genuinely satisfied after eating...we had 4 burgers with waffle fries and a drink the sauce on the burgers are tasty and the queso for the fries a neat twist 😋...now the temps are about 95 degrees on our visit...but with the fans blowing...because its only outside seating But Alayna put down the sun screens for us it was comfortable and shady...another staff member separated our meals like a couples thing...cute...BUT the whole establishment is cute, love the color of the building, the food was good, they have waffle fries 🍟 and it was perfect with a root beer drink.
