“We found out about this place via Somebody feed Phil and we had saved it in our to go to sandwich places. The sandwiches were really good, I think the bread was the highlight, so soft and buttery. I had a Fried Bologna and my husband and Collard Green, which was definitely a win with its minty/yoghurty flavour and incredible cheese. The service was averageVegetarian options: Tasty options for vegetarians - no compromise on flavour If you don’t eat meat (I had the meaty one and I wish had tried the veggie one)“

“Hands down the best Po Boy of all of NOLA! Guy's is always on the itinerary when we are in town. Their Po Boys are always over stuffed, perfectly seasoned and fresh. Bread is crispy yet soft. Lines can be very long and seated is limited, recommend going right when they open or outside of peak lunch hours.“

“Had the Carne Asada and Cuban Sándwiches today! ?The Sándwiches were perfectly made, just the right amount of ingredients, carne Asada super tender, which is not the case in many places. Both Sándwiches were juicy, and the bread they used was just the right crunch! Can't wait to try the Tripleta Sándwich!!The guys in the store were super welcoming and friendly, not something you always get in hispanic stores, and they seemed very genuine. The Carniceria has fresh meats and well priced, AND they will cook your buys at NO EXTRA CHARGE!!! ?Love the concept they have going on!!!I wish them the BEST!!!!“

“By far the best sandwich shop in New Orleans. Great service, quality is always on point, and its menu feeds any soul! I eat here every two weeks, but it would be everyday if I had my way. My go to is the Roasted Turkey, but the Psycho Chicken and Blue Healer are great mix ups!“

“Best grilled shrimp po boy I've had on any occasion in New Orleans! Seating was limited and we ended up next to the bathrooms which wasn't very appealing in such close quarters, but in my mind the crowdedness speaks to their popularity!“

“The single server on duty appeared to thrive on this super busy, packed Thursday morning. She was efficient, welcoming, friendly, caring and helpful, all while being pulled in many different directions! It's no wonder she managed all of this with the love and passion for food that comes out of the single brown door in the back. Truly a wonderful experience and expression of this area! The Duck, Duck Goose Waffle will not be forgotten. It will remain one of the most delicious and memorable breakfast entrees this fat man ever ate!“

“I got the Chicken Katsu Banh Mi. I asked for the hoisin sauce to go along, but after taking the first bite without sauce, I saw that it didn't need the sauce at all. It was great without it. This sandwich is topped with Tokatsu sauce, Japanese kewpie mayo, and Furikake seasoning. These are Japanese ingredients, so this is a Vietnamese sandwich version of a Japanese dish. A Japanese Banhi MI in a way. And it was really good. The fried chicken on this sandwich is just as any Japanese fried chicken I've had before. I really recommend this sandwich and I very much look forward to taking another visit to Banh Mi Boys, because if this sandwich was that tasty, then I am sure the others have a lot to offer as well. Please enjoy!“

“Don’t tell me the world is ending with food this good. Just stop. This place had it all, good sandos, salads, bevies, their own homemade seasoned potato chips, all kinds of bomb sauces and dressings, and it was super duper fresh, like garden in the back fresh. Like who’s your plug fresh? Like it took me back to a world pre pandemic. I seriously was sitting there like I had time traveled everything slapped so hard. This place and its people have a bright future. Someone with bread is gonna sit down in there and be like let’s expand. I’ll be back soon. Like it is seriously some of the best food in Nola. I ate a bunch of things that would typically never interest me, but they were so good it made me feel like I’ve been living wrong.“

“Amazing dining experience. These folks work hard to present simply delicious food. On a search for something new my BF found Tartine. We could not have been more pleased. Everything was freshly baked and prepared to perfection. We can't wait to work our way through the menu.“

“Addicted to the chicken salad poboy. I normally never ever eat chicken salad anywhere. I make my own and I don't really eat much of it. The roast beef was very very good. And of course the ham was good. My least favorite maybe was the shrimp po-boy but if I'd put a little drop of ketchup I might have even liked it better. I sampled from their catering menu. They're bread is nice and soft and not chewy. I really can't say enough about this place“

“Philly Cheese steak poboy...with handcut fries...delicious. outside seating. ..nope, sitting at a table in the ditch along a very busy street with cars zooming past...nahhhh they have inside seat available but the worker at the register (owner?) told me inside seating wasn't open "this afternoon due to a large party coming in..." they never showed the whole time I ate outside over the dirty ditch. food great, I'll take mine ToGo next time unless inside is available.“

“Growing up in the city will sometimes make you think the best food in the area is only there, but Short Stop Poboys are the best poboys Ive ever eaten outside of the city. The service and atmosphere were perfect and they have a lot of local items like ROMAN CANDY and ZAPPS !!! that will keep me coming back. The Shrimp Dressed was pretty good, but my only issue is that they could use better shrimp. That frozen stuff is a no-no and if you've had a really good shrimp poboy you know the shrimp have to be fresh“

“This is exactly the type of place I love to discover. Neighborhood gem, no frills., affordable. Cuban sandwich- excellent, fresh bread, tasty pork, huge portion.Bread got a bit greasy when pressed. I dabbed a lot off the sandwich with napkins. Sandwich should be pressed with no oil. Hot tamales- I was today years old when I learned of Mississippi Delta/New Orleans tamales. Previously, I was only familiar with Mexican tamales. They were tasty. Observed people eating the Daily Special- spaghetti and meatballs. The portion was massive on a platter. They cleaned their plates! There was a steady line of customers getting food to go. They sold prepackaged slices of king cake. I Liked being able to try different bakers versions by buying slices. The recipes are all so different. Also picked up a packaged lemon hand pie. Felt nostalgic from my childhood. Friendly, courteous staff. They kept dining area bussed and clean. Great price and value .“

“The people are awesome, friendly, and polite. Don't even get me started on the food. Best Philly Cheese Steak I've ever had. The loaded potatoes are absolutely fire as well. Will definitely be going here anytime I'm in town. A must go to place for sure.“

“Came to this location because the Veterans location did not open at the time posted. The young man that helped me at this David Dr location was incredibly friendly and took the time to make sure that our sandwiches were perfect and not just thrown together. Unfortunately it didn't give me the option to tip him when I swiped my card and of course I didn't have cash ? Besides his amazing service the store was immaculate and food was great.“

“The new location on barataria is beautiful! The food is delicious as always and the staff is always friendly and smiling. I love everything on the menu, but some of my favorites are, of course, the Mew Orleans Muffaletta, Shrimp Poboy, roast beef on muffaletta bread, eggplant sticks, and the fried mushrooms. You can't go wrong with anything!“
“This is a new location and it is still bright and shiny and clean. Even the men's room was decent! The staff were friendly and efficient and my sandwich was perfect. The hot chicken cheesesteak is fabulous and the portabello mushroom and Swiss is a unique treat you can't get anywhere else. Try them out - you'll never go back to a Subway again. The parking lot is a little tight but the whole Elmwood complex gets nutty at peak times.“

“My close friend and I ate here not to long ago and the food was delicious and fresh, soda from the fountain tasted a little flat though.Quiet place with amazing and fast service, staff seems to bring their own kids to work with them which makes the place seem more welcoming.“
