“We stumbled into Iacovone and for a moment thought we had come into the wrong place. The restaurant is a hole in a wall that looks so decrepit from the outside, only the "Open" sign convinced me that it was actually a working restaurant. Then, when you walk in, there were two small plastic tables with a few plastic chairs. So it's then a little jarring at the counter to look at the menu of the day and see serious food for prices that are extremely reasonable for serious food (but still more than you have ever paid in a place that has a bit of an eating in a Subway feel to it). But don't let that dissuade you. Because this is indeed incredible food at very reasonable prices, and the advantage of being in a tiny hole in the wall is that you almost can't help but chat with the Chef/Owner/Sole Employee who has a great story to tell about his journey through the food world and his love for New Orleans. Iacovone was the last restaurant we visited on a three week vacation across multiple countries where we ate incredibly well. It was a fitting last stop. Make sure to give it a try on your next visit to the Crescent City.“
“This place is absolutely incredible. The food was spectacular and peanut butter protein smoothie was the best I’ve ever had. The staff is so incredibly kind. I also bought the juices from the fridge, I drank the Pina-kaleada one today and it was amazing. I got the chicken grain salad bowl and that was also to die for. 10000000% recommend“
“New lunch spot aquired! Long-ish review... i live on the northshore but work on the soutshore... we have many good sushi places on the northshore but my favorite has won best sushi on the northshore for 3 years striaght. Point being, Ive been to many sushi places that have had good sushi and bad sushi... i was optimistic with Mizu and was not let down.. first time in just a few minutes ago and i ordered togo (playboy roll.) The place was clean as well as organized (for its smaller size).. order did not take long at all and it was absolutely delicious... temperature of the food was great.. consistancy was nice and the flavor was there! Will definitely be back for more“
“Service was friendly professional and prompt. while food was exceptional, the presentationFor the chicken and waffles was subpar at best. It looked like my 16 year old prepared it. The waffleWas crispy and light though. The ambience was very crowded with minimal spaceFrom the neighboring tables. Would return for the gumbo“
“It’s been many years since I dined at Bayona, and I’m pleased to say they haven’t missed a beat. The food was delicious, and a welcome change from the ever present bowls of gumbo and Po boys that dominate the Quarter. Spicer’s James Beard medal still hangs on the wall near the entrance and it’s a well placed testament to this very fine dining experience.Peter and the rest of the staff were old school in the best possible way; their service was top notch. If you’re thinking about where to eat while in New Orleans, make one night a Bayona night!Vegetarian options: The butternut squash entree was delightful for my vegetarian companion.“
“Excellent food that boasts a Latin and Caribbean flare. Everything is delicious, but if you're there for brunch I highly recommend the Skirt Steak skewers, Cuban Sandwich, Fish Tacos, Jerk Chicken Burrito, and Lamb Sliders. You can either sit inside or outside. The wait staff is very polite and accommodating. Perfect spot for brunch or dinner.“
“OMG the chicken and waffles were to die for!! Be sure to try the potatoes, crispy and great flavor. Pi Boy is huge! Grab a menu and a table then go order. Be patient, it's all made to order. Quite clean, several tables for groups or couples. The people who work here are very nice.“
“The food is excellent. The charbroiled oysters are always the best. You have to get those. However, the price for lunch was steep. We split a dozen of the charbroiled oysters AND split a fish dish which came to over $40 each. Service has gone down over the years, but that's a lot of places today. Also, for us, the large dining room was packed and very loud. We could hardly hear each other. Maybe add some plants.“
“I've always heard that New Orleans is known for their good food and this place lives up to the hype! We are visiting from Kentucky and wanted some local new orleans brunch. We lucked up and found Up and Adam and when I tell you...probably (top 5) best food I've tasted in my 41 years. Literally, everything was top tier and to top it off, the ambiance and customer service was outstanding as well. Every time I visit New Orleans, I will be returning. I highly recommend!“
“Just finished an amazing business lunch here. Everything was amazing - split the Voodoo Crawfish Rolls, guest had a dozen chargrilled oysters and was kind enough to share one and I had the crab/shrimp cake stuffed catfish with angel hair pasta in a shrimp cream sauce. I can't imagine how this food could have been any better. The service was spot on too. Melisa was our waitress but at least three other staff members stopped by to assist. Never wanted for anything but more room in my belly. Lunch portion was super generous - couldn't even finish it all - can't imagine what the dinner portion looks like. It's a little loud - struggled at times to have a conversation but we were sat next to this windbag that loved the sound of her own voice and cackled like the witch from bugs bunny when she laughed. I would definitely visit again.“
“This is a great neighborhood spot for breakfast & lunch. My dad feels that it's only breakfast if there are grits on the plate, and this is a place he approves for breakfast. The price and service are spot-on and the biscuits are a must.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely kid-friendly.“
“Small, clean restaurant with outdoor seating looking over Carrollton. I had lumpia, which was my first experience with this dish. It was delicious, with beef and veggies, lightly fried. I also had the chirashi sushi. I look forward to having some more of the Indonesian dishes when I return. The highlight was the chef and hostess/waitress; both were super friendly, accommodating, and provided great service. Locals and college students should show a little love to this affordable, tasty, and convenient restaurant!“
“Great pizza with an amazing selection of toppings, including crawfish (my favorite). Great selections of specialty pizzas or buld you own. My wife is vegan and they also have excellent vegan options. Located conveniently on the St Charles streetcar line in the Lower Garden District. Also has a small bar. Easy to order carryout online.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable options. Good vegan cheese. Great cauliflower crust.“
“The bartender who wrote the drink ? menu is EVERYTHING!!! I tried the pink squirrel, which is his grandmother’s old recipe, and it was great!!! Make sure you have the bread. It’s a sweet potato bread that’s absolutely delicious. I’ve even had breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious. For the Sunday brunch they really should have a smooth, jazz band to play I make the seating, more aesthetically pleasing. This is one of my favorite places to dine.Parking: Valet parking is convenient with validation stamp it’s under $20.“
“I was only in town for one night and went to Rosella on the advice of a friend. It was lovely! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and I loved the overall vibe. I also had a chance to chat with the owners for a few minutes and could tell they really care about the neighborhood and their employees, as well as providing a quality product. I highly recommend supporting this locally-owned restaurant and the wonderful folks bringing their vision to Mid-City.Parking: There's a small private lot behind the restaurant.“
“BRICK OVEN PIZZA! I know it says wood fired, but when I searched for “brick oven pizza” in NO, nothing popped up. Absolutely AMAZING seafood pizza. Cannot recommend enough. Would have bought another but had no viable way of getting it back to Dallas. As you can see I ate 1/2 of it before realizing I should take a pic to post. Our waitress Stacy? was very accommodating (as well the chef) as my wife has crazy food allergies and she was able to eat all of her without breaking out. Definitely returning next time I’m in NOLA.“
“The Munch Factory is definitely a hidden gem! It is tucked inside the Joseph M. Bartholomew Golf Course. I had the Salmon in a beautiful sauce over the creamiest grits and perfect asparagus. My husband had a perfectly blackened fish with a grit cake! Everything was delicious, including my Munch-A-Rita. The service was impeccable. The entire staff caters to everyone. There is a beautiful view of the golf course!“
“This place is a Gem!! If you are a local or visiting New Orleans don’t second guess! Delicious food and wonderful Customer Service plus lots of vegan options. Overall experience 100%. I enjoyed the orka stew & Egusi fufu. Not pictured vegetable rolls and meat pies demolished them ? I’m a local and can’t wait to return??. Delivery options a plus!!!“
“I found Botanicals NOLA through a Google Maps search for health food when I was having crazy medical issues. Their sea moss has saved me! The food is vegan, healthy, and delicious! After two days in a row of their sea moss smoothies, my energy bounced back as never before! Cheaper than my doctor’s copay to boot. Their chickpea sandwich, avocado toast, and peanut butter toast are healthy and filling. Their ginger shots are packed with ginger! I recommend washing it down with their sea moss lemonade. Idk why people said the staff were rude or slow. I have been coming here over a year and never had this issue (it must’ve been resolved). I had my 2 smoothies and toast in under 8 min with another customer’s order ahead of me. Atmosphere is great, stylish, sunny, welcoming, and clean/selfie-worthy bathroom. Highly recommend!!“
“We came on a Wednesday evening, so it wasn’t busy. Our waitress was great. Food was delicious. We got the fajitas and some margaritas that were delicious. Enjoyed the fresh fruit in our margaritas. Loved that they asked how well done we wanted our fajitas. They came out perfect! Will definitely go back on our text trip.“
“The food here is delicious and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, especially on a beautiful day. Their Kee Mao is the best I’ve ever had. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. The desserts are awesome too! Great place to get a meal with friends.Vegetarian options: Most anything can be modified to be vegetarian.“
“Food was very good, especially the marinated crab claws, seafood gumbo and cheese biscuits.Unfortunately, they were out of chargrilled oysters.Service is very good. The sunset observed through the windows was beautiful. The dining room can get a little loud.“
“The appetizers were a delight! We sampled a bunch, and I'd recommend the boudin spring rolls for sure. The menu could use an update since they don't offer a couple of items that are still listed, but the staff was friendly and patient to explain what they no longer had available. The atmosphere is a bit lackluster, but it's Metairie so I get it. We placed a pick up order, so we were able to wait next door at a local bar; the staff was so nice that they offered to bring the food to us next door when it came out! I'm definitely calling more orders in for pick up in the future ?“
“Hummus appetizer wasn’t the greatest. It was bland and didn’t get very much bread. The gyro platter was really good. The service was good depending on who you got to serve you. I saw others getting immaculate service. I was jealous. Really interesting wall art. Overall I would give them another shot because the food was really good.“
“What a great place. We had a large group tonight for a birthday party. Had to split the check 5 different ways with out any complaint from our server. She handled the group like a boss. The was on point and manager got a large group of servers to sing happy birthday. If you are looking for great place that will not break the bank you can’t go wrong here. Great job all around. Leadership, kitchen staff and servers all on point.“
“Great easy casual place. Great for all ages too! We came in after a fun Friday night and the girls running the place were pleasant. It’s nice to come to a place with good customer service. Also, the pizzas didn’t take long at all! They were served hot and quick! Manager was sweet too. She asked how everything was. We will be back for sure.Kid-friendliness: The kids enjoyed it. There are a few arcade games too!“
“I ordered a small thin crust of anchovies and onion. The ingredients were fresh. The pizza was delicious. Service was fast, friendly and efficient! The wait staff came over several times to see if we needed anything or drink refills. I'd definitely go again!“
“If you love pizza, you gotta come try this place out. Small homestyle local Gio’s is a family-run pizzeria that will redefine your pizza standards. We had a meat pizza in the shop and I took home a Magharitta pizza which my kid loved. We also tried their meatballs and they were bomb ?The pizza crust is thin and crunchy. Most pizzas run at a $20 fee for the same 8-slice pie. What makes or breaks a pizza for me? The crust and tomato sauce. Both here are amazing. The ambiance is homey, order at the counter and pay. The only catch is their operating hours. Make sure they are open when you wanna pop by.“
“I love this place and have been several times now. The salsa is served warm and is addictive. The birria is on point and the aguachile is so refreshing. The mitcheladas are so good and gigantic with all the takin and chamoy you need. Have yet to be disappointed be this place. 10/10“
“I live pretty close by and probably get something here at least 2 to 3 times a month. I've loved everything I've had so far. Gyro, chicken shawarma, falafel and cauliflower plates and wraps, and the cauliflower salad. They make a thinner style pita fyi. Cauliflower plate is my favorite... never knew I could get addicted to cauliflower, but the way they prepare it is so good. I usually get rice with tzatziki or hummus, and these are some of the better I've had. The tzatziki is so rich and creamy.“
“A perfect place to grab a slice and a drink to go. Excellent pizza by the slice, a decent selection of tap beer, and frozen drinks. Restrooms upstairs.Vegetarian options: Veggie pizza availableKid-friendliness: Kids are just fine. Not a lot of seats, but people don't stay long. Soft drinks available.“
“The waitress was amazing and her service was very sincere. We definitely enjoyed the food and very thankful the waitress could charge our phones. The coke fountain drink was terrible but the waitress allowed us to change it to root beer which was better but not the best. The parking was super weird and for new comers it’s quit confusing. Would recommend posting signs for the establishment so customers can know which areas are designated for dining.“
“Ate here twice in February 2024. Everything was extremely fresh and there was a great (~24?) options for dressing. Plenty of protein options. Was in the city on a work trip and the first time I stopped here for lunch they were out of Romaine but gave specific information about time for it being back (less than 5 minutes) and it was accurate. Went back another day and they recognized me and let me know immediately that romaine was ready to go and so were the mushrooms I asked for the last time.Only thing I would say is missing is a Greek style dressing both times I went, however they have over 20 options so it's not a big deal.Vegetarian options: It's a salad bar. Don't get the meat and you're good.Dietary restrictions: It's a salad bar with many options to choose from.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no design or access issues that a wheelchair user would have to overcome as far as getting in or seating goes. However, you may need to request staff support for building your salad bowl as the counter is at or above the average waistline of the an adult.“
“One of THE best crepes I've ever had. It might not look like much from the picture, but I guarantee you, the Down south crepe with boudin pepper jack, onions, and peppers is packed with flavor and big enough to share. It's huge! If you are in the French Quarter, you must visit for the crepes!“
“I met a friend for breakfast. It was good, however the eggs had onions in them and that was not disclosed on the menu (and I am not a fan). The bacon and the grits were good. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. The service was great. Very pleasant coffee shop.“
“In a city of butter, this was a welcome reprieve on a recent work trip to New Orleans. Many pre-curated salad offerings but completely customizable. You can make all the salads into wraps, switch up the proteins...Everything was fresh, and portions large. Excellent. Please look it up. It's in an office building in a little food court.“
“Went for a lunch special--2 slices of pizza, salad and beer or tea for $9.99. Great deal. Pizza slices were big thin crust with various toppings. Nice beer selection. Some IPAs and sours. We found something we liked. They also offered hero sandwiches, pizzas and other fare. Nice deck for warmer weather. Pizza was decent. I'm not a big fan of thin crust, but this was good, if a little greasy. We had a couple of flavored IPAs and the blond. All we're good. Will definitely return when we visit again.“
“Excellent service (they have buzzers! I don’t need to listen for my name in a crowded bar!) and tasty food. In addition to bar time bites, their food travels well (due to some thoughtful packaging, bread isn’t stacked atop meat, etc) and I am able to grab stuff on my lunch break. A welcome addition to Mid-City!“
“THE best pizza in town. The crust is a thinner crispier crust which I prefer. Instead of a marinara they use a sauce that's more like a gravy with tiny bits of ground beef in the sauce. The meats and veggies are always fresh and delicious no matter which pie you order.“
“If you are looking for a traditional Italian/New Orleanian restaurant, then this is it! My friend and I went there to have spaghetti and meatballs ?. It was very good. The red sauce has a meaty-flavor. A small salad came with the main dish. We were there for lunch on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy. After 12:30 pm.“
“I visited El Gato Negro tonight 1/23/24 We had attended my daughter's art showing at the WW2 museum. This is the night that the water pressure dropped in Jefferson Parish. All of our usual places were closed and it was after 8. A friend recommended we give this place a try and I'm really glad we did!! They were SUPER busy earlier because everybody else from Metairie had hopped on over the Parish line like we had. They were more than happy to seat my party of 4 at 8:30 even though they closed at 9. I can't remember our server's name. I do remember practicing my Spanish with her. The food was excellent. I had the Tuesday special of 3 steak tacos. I had mine in the corn shell as opposed to the flour. They were hot and fresh and a flavor explosion. The char of the steak with the fresh cilantro made for a fantastic taco! It was good and good. My wife had these crazy large nachos with chicken and street corn. They put the chips on top so it doesn't end up a soggy mess. The food was on point as was the service. We genuinely appreciated being sat and served so late. I will be back soon. I'm putting them in my rotation. You should too!!“
“I'm PICKY as I've been blessed to travel the world for client visits. I only bring this up as I've eaten in some phenomenal restaurants thanks to work. This place is clean (even restrooms), friendly staff, and the food is always amazing. I work for a huge IT firm, and I entertain a lot of people from the USA & globally but when entertaining here in NOLA, La Boca is a top choice & my clients love it. It's a little pricey, but believe me...you get more than you pay for. It's worth it! All my clients love this place. You won't be disappointed.“
“This was my first time at Mr Ed's in Bucktown. Fortunately we arrived before the dinner crowd and were able to get a table right away. By the time we left the place was getting packed. Our waitress was a little distracted, even before the crowds came so don't know what that was about but we all have a bad day.I ordered the stuffed bell peppers and although they weren't huge in size... man were they stuffed to the gills with tasty seafood. These were not stuffed peppers mostly with breading.Definitely plan on stopping again next time I'm in New Orleans to try their chicken liver dinners, one of my favorites and very hard to find.“
“Pizza was really good, but the service was SO slow. They were nice, but it took nearly 10 minutes for someone to ask me what I want at lunch when the restaurant was only half-full. By the time my food came out, I had to take it go because I had to go back to work.“
“Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Service is always personable and quick and the owner, Ms. Carol, always makes sure you're getting the best experience. The food never lets me down (Wednesday's steak and lobster is my favorite). Can't go wrong with the crabby Mary either. Reasonable prices for the quality. Best seafood restaurant around, will continue to come for date night!“
“The food is great as always. Yet the service is not great or chic fil a friendly. The guys handing the orders In pick up area were not nice nor friendly and actually really rude and almost disrespectful. I was not the only one with this issue and they were handing out the wrong orders to customers in front of me.“
“My husband and I had the best experience here! From the moment we entered untilcwe left we got A+ 5 star treatment!! The food was amazing and the service was some how even better!!! Hands down one of the best birthday dinners I've ever had. Thank you to our server David for making this such a wonderful experience!!“
“I have doordashed City Greens a couple times and every time im impressed with their consistency! Ive gotten the Truffalo Chicken as a wrap and it is my favorite! The flavor and the ingredients are always top notch that it honestly surprises me every time. I have also ordered their bbq chicken wrap which is always just as yummy! Im taking a star away because i went in person recently and they accidentally made my wrap a salad first and then had to change it and the spice ratio was way off and made it hard to eat. The service was lacking when i dined in. Overall i will definitely be ordering from there again maybe just not going back in person!“
“For a Tex Mex place, I was blown away by the burger and fries. You can't go wrong with it. And you're missing out if you don't get one. The juicy burger with queso cheese, and a little guacamole far exceeds any expectations you have. Seasoned well and served with some slim cut fries. Trust me.“
“Char-House is a hidden gem! The cozy atmosphere of this hole-in-the-wall restaurant creates the perfect backdrop for their mouthwatering char-broiled burgers. Each bite is a burst of flavor, with the perfect blend of juiciness and smokiness. The friendly staff and unique charm make Char-House a must-visit for burger enthusiasts seeking a delightful dining experience.“
