“Ok I need to wright a review with 200 words so I chose this place thing is tho I’ve never been here don’t even live here but the places name is cool “swankys Downtown” W name very cool I don’t even know what the got here but it’s probably good. The next day we went to go get breakfast and when we came back, the same two people where playing ping pong now thing is they aren’t GOOD they aways miss the ball like how can that be fun. The NEXT DAY THEY WHERE STILL PLAYING PING PONG I hope this was long enough.“
“My fiancée and I visited this Location on March 22nd. Our waitress was Michelle. Food was awesome.Michelle was very professional and very friendly.I would definitely be Come in back frequently. She ordered the Seafood platter, which was amazing.I ordered a Ribeye It was like butter.Parking: Parking was amazing park directly in front of restaurant“
“OTR Truck drivers who stopped in. I was craving oysters & used Google to find this spot. So glad we dined here. Everything was GREAT! Our waitress, Kat, was friendly, knowledgeable, very attentive. She took care of us. The food was delicious. My hubby was very pleased. He lived in Louisiana so he his familiar with Cajun Seafood & he saids Uncle T's was spot on. I even brought a T-shirt. We got dessert to go, cheesecake. We really enjoyed our whole experience. Ms. Kat made it better. (Thank you) We will be back & have recommended it to our other trucker friends. It's worth it!“
“It's not that they're slow, but they SO busy usually, but you can tell the food is really fresh. The atmosphere is great and it's usually packed but it's cool vibe. Just know they use, by default, the more traditional french loaf that has the slightly tougher outside, but it does help hold it together. I have no idea if they have different breads ... Shrimp po boy is a great starter!Parking: Go around the side if you can't park in the few front spots....“
“Great food, everything you could imagine a country breakfast being. 3eggs any style, 5 or 6 different proteins to chose from, a side and biggist flakiest biscuit I ever experienced. All for $8 all in. Cute wait staff, and busiest kitchen imaginable. Line out the door when I left. Closes at 11:00, so that says where they're at.“
“This restaurant is a gem. It's hard to beat food of this quality at a truck stop considering what type of restaurants most of them have. I got the shrimp Alfredo and it was fantastic. I will be eating here every time I come by this place.“
“This was my first true experience with the incredible cuisine they refer to as Creole. Aside from my wife's Haitian cooking which is a bit different from the Louisiana interpretation. The Creole Lunch is very unassuming I'm appearance, and easy to miss if you are not looking. Nestled on the side of the road, I noticed the sign and the grassy parking lot. The inside is literally the inside of a house, giving it welcoming appeal. The place is a local, family-owned establishment and it shows in the food and hospitality. Now the matter of the food. It is bleeping epic! Everything I ate, and I ate half my weight in food, was delicious! The Jambalaya was spicy, savory, and teeming with flavor. As was the pork with dirty rice and collard greens. The food was so good, I ordered the Catfish Po Boy as a second entree and ate the whole damn thing. Needless to say it was life-changing. I left here full and sleepy. A meal I will remember for the rest of my life.Parking: A huge grassy lot that has plenty of spaces.Kid-friendliness: Lots of families, the locals of course, in here all of the time.“
“This was our first time eating in Lafayette and someone recommended coming here for some authentic Louisiana food with great taste. Without a doubt this was AMAZING. Our server, Max Dean, was so attentive and nice. He recommended what to try and not try as our first time and was GENUINE about it! He even recommended us places to go visit while in Lafayette. The food was amazing. It was our first time trying gumbo and we tried both of them and hands down, our favorite was the Chicken & Andouille. Recommend this place 100%!“
“I love Don's. I travel through Louisiana quite a bit, and I always stop through Scott. I love their seafood balls, boudin balls, pork chops, chicken etc. They also have a great selection of freezer items and souvenirs which I like to take back home. Their service is always amazing too.“
“Always on the lookout for good local cooking, I stumbled upon Glenda's Creole kitchen. Never decisive, I was able to get both the smothered ribs and the red beans and sausage with two sides, corn and white beans. The woman who served me was patient and helpful as she described what some of the options were. For $12, I got a large plate of food that will give me at least one other meal. The rib was delicious with a good amount of meat on the bone and the beans and sausage were equally flavorful. If you're looking for fancy atmosphere or someplace romantic, this is not the place to go. If you're more interested in good food than decor, the rustic, homey and somewhat chaotic atmosphere is perfect.Thankfully, their visit by Anthony Bourdain has not seemed to change their way of doing business.“
“We were looking for local cuisine and had The Vermilionville Restaurant recommended to us. My husband ordered the Jambalaya, my daughter ordered the Gumbo, while I ordered the baked potato to have room for bread pudding. All were delicious!I loved the many windows and brightness of the dining room. I also enjoyed the art by a local artist.“
“OMG!! This is my new must-go to lunch place. Today, 2 of my siblings and I had lunch here. (It is only open for lunch … and only a few times a week). I had the roast beef sandwich…amazing!! My sister had the chicken salad and she loved it! My brother had the special of the day -stuffed meatloaf, honey carrots and cheesy broccoli….TO DIE FOR!! DDee is a one-woman show and this place was adorable.“
“Nice people in what looks like a dive; but even nicer selection of fresh Kolaches and Donuts. I had a sausage and cheese kolache (pig in a fluffy blanket essentially), and an amazing, melt-in-your-mouth Cajun Apple Fritter (looks like a squashed chocolate glazed donut; but had walnuts, apple, and coconut). A great, little, quiet coffee and donut find. Great service too!“
“I went there for the first time last Friday, and I got a Reese's king cake and a few other items. I froze the king cake and then thawed it Saturday night for church the next morning. It was a hit! AND, I got some of their frozen gumbo. Today my teen daughter was hangry, and that gumbo saved the day! I will absolutely be back.“
“CoffeeDepot made our special day even more special!!! thank you so much for the great service and the wonderful meal and the smiley face beignets that you so generously gave us !!! adoption day - fully comped meal for 9 people - we certainly chose the best place to celebrate!! thank you from the bottom of our hearts.“
“Went in for the first time today to try the Reuben. By far the best sandwich I've ever had. Told them it was my first time and I was a college student and not only did they give me a discount but a free cookie as well. Found my new favorite lunch spot for sure!“
“Really close to the Acadian Cultural Centre and a nice stop. $32 for 2 adults and 2 kids, so affordable. Many positive things - many buildings well preserved like the school. But many others not so much. Good description of them in English and French which was great. Costumed guides providing great information and many thanks to one young guide who provided it in French! She is learning French and kudos to her for taking seriously her work and showing respect to Acadians and Cajuns. She was really good! The great part was the jam session done my cajun musicians who were so generous and played so well! An amazing experience! The restaurant Chez maman was great, jambalaya tasted good as well as the crawfish étouffé. Service was friendly and relax. The less good parts - some building and sites were not well maintained but also quite dirty…like really dirty!Did not find good information on the village itself. Good description of specific buildings but nothing about the village and its history. My apology if I have missed it but it is there, maybe it should be easier to find.Restaurant is only open from 11am to 2pm on the Saturday we visited. We were lucky to be there during this small window. All in all, a cool place to stop and learn!“
“We are from BR. Yelp told us about Soul Food near us. When I tell you the Tripe was so tender, tasty, and spicy I just want the world to know it!!! The price was so right! The container was extremely packed down with nicely cut portions of Tripe! GREAT JOB Alexander's Speciality Meats We can't wait to visit again 5 stars N&M Wilson“
“Had the BEST experience using Crawfish Jake for our client appreciation event! Communication was prompt and professional leading up to the event. The staff that serviced our event was polite and accommodating considering the weather wasn’t on our side for part of it. They had backup plans for us if the weather didn’t work out. I didn’t have to worry about anything day of. They brought iced down drinks, boiled and plated crawfish and sides and had premade dip ready to go. They handled all trash and cleanup. I could seriously go on and on. Jake even checked in during the event to check on everything. And lastly, the crawfish were AMAZING! All of our clients raved about the perfect seasoning level, the crawfish were large and easy to peel and the staff made sure everyone was enjoying them and offered to make accommodations if necessary. 10/10 would recommend and will use again!“
“Tonight was the second time dining at Cafe Josephine's. As a delectable repeat the crab egg rolls were ordered. The crab meat tonight was not spoiled but far from fresh tasting. Did eat almost half trying to convince otherwise. On another note, the waitstaff both times were service oriented and accommodating, thank youVegetarian options: an adjacent diner had macaroni and cheese while I had the roasted brussels sprouts“
“Food was absolutely delicious, and servings were large, especially for the price. Server was friendly and very attentive. Live music was enjoyable, and at a good volume.Parking: Parking lot was large enough to accommodate customers and staff.Wheelchair accessibility: The person with me was in a wheelchair. There was ample handicapped parking, and ramp. Tables were spaced so that there was plenty of room for the wheelchair and for others to get around it. The person who seated us moved one of the chairs so that the wheelchair could br placed in its spot.“
“I usually eat here only during crawfish season, because their crawfish is the best in town!!! Today I was hungry for bbq and wasn’t sure where to get some from. Got on google and noticed they served bbq. OMG!!! I ordered a pork steak plate. The meat was falling off the bone. The taste was just right. Even the potato salad was perfect! I now have a go to spot for bbq here at this place. Do yourselves a favor and try them!!!!“
“Blake B provided awesome service and advice on the menu! He is attentive, knowledgeable, kind and made my first dining experience there a pleasure! The food was amazing and I loved the atmosphere including the decor! Highly recommend French Press Downtown while in Lafayette!“
“These boudin's are the best I have tasted. Initially, the boudin balls looked harder than they were. Let me tell you, they are soft. My fav is the chicken & pepper jack, deliriously good. I also picked up some smoked links.I cheated myself by not ordering more boudin balls to go.“
“My mom and I are on a plate lunch tour across Acadiana and Veronica's is currently our #1 out of 46 we've been to. Love the turkey wings, pot roast, dirty rice, etc. The Sunday bbq is awesome too, especially the pork steak and smoked sausage. Love“
