“Party of 4 visiting from Texas asked locals at Avery Island (Tabasco plant) a recommendation for a late lunch between New Iberia and Lafayette. They told us about Poor Boys Riverside. We got there in time for the lunch specials, fried & grilled catfish, wife had a crab cake appetizer she adored, salads, soup & green bean sides were delicious. Service was great, they have a large menu with lots of options, looking forward to dining with them again. Cannot recommend highly enough!!!!“
“I love this place so much. The staff is always friendly and hospitable and the food is dangg good. Headed out for an early morning fishing trip? Grab yourself a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. It's exactly what you need. Have time for a full meal? The fried catfish is incredible. Do yourself a favor and try it. I live close to the Riche's so I'm lucky to have this as my regular pop-in pop-out spot. But if you're passing through, definitely stop by and check out what they have.“
“I'll keep it short. Great food and service for a decent price. If you're looking for a good place to eat this may be the spot for you. The food was really good and the service was great. They don't try and coddle you like some want to be. But they are nice and courteous.“
